Wow! If you like foodie scents, then you have to have a bottle of The Candy Butcher. It is deep, dark, sexy chocolate, with the slightest bit of cream attached to it. On my skin, the cream stays creamy, and there is no suggestion of the plastic that some others have referred to. This scent is heavenly!

Source: Imp from the Lab This has the same smell in the bottle as it does on my skin: it's a cake-like, almond-heavy scent that reminds me a lot of a wonderful, golden-raisin-scented naan that you might eat at an Indian restaurant. The musk and amber also add wonderful complexity after the dry down phase. I may need to get a bottle of this!

Source: Imp from the Lab This smells the same in the imp as it does on my skin, even after several hours. When I first applied it, I could smell the rose, but it's mostly a strong vetiver scent that reminds me of woodsy moth balls. I've had it on for a few hours, and may go wash it off since it's not doing much for me. It's a shame, but I loved the individual notes, but they just aren't doing much for me.

This bottle was a gamble since I'm new to the notes that it contains. In the bottle, the cedar jumps out at me, and I was nervous about whether or not this would work on me. Once on my skin, however, it morphed into a lovely blend of lilac, blue musk, and incense. It actually reminds me a lot of Dior's Poison, which was a love of mine for many years. Night Thoughts is a bit more herb-like, but in a really nice way. The only disappointment is that it doesn't seem to be lasting too long on me. After wearing it for an hour, I had to re-apply, so this may just need a lot of slathering or to be used in my scent locket. It's a wonderful blend, though, and it's perfect for thinking mysterious thoughts!

Red musk, black currant, violet leaf, wild frankincense, lavender, black orchid, Darjeeling tea, vetiver, red moss, myrrh, Moroccan spices, blackened fruit gums, and tobacco. When this arrived two days ago with my most recent order, it was the scent that I was most scared of trying since in the bottle it smelled much too tobacco-like for me. I tried it for the first time this morning, though, and all of my fears were for naught! On applying, the tobacco melts away into a dark, spicy scent that blends the frankincense, lavender, vetiver, and tea into a lovely, sexy scent. The richness of it reminds me a bit of Midnight Kiss, which is one of my favorite scents. Several hours later, it still has nice throw and wear. I really like it, and am so happy that my initial impressions were wrong!

In the bottle: Cedar and patchouli. On drydown, this one doesn't morph much on my skin or reveal any nuances. The original cedar and patchouli scents remain strong. It smells nice, but just isn't for me.

My husband has been wearing a frimp of this I got from the lab in one of my recent orders, and all I can say is . . . yum! On his skin, the pepper tends to dominate, along with the herbal musk smells that others have described. The incense notes are there, but are subtle, and it feels like a clean, yet spicy scent. It's sexy and has great throw! I love it on him!

I wasn't sure if I really needed TKO since I already have Somnus, but I'm so glad I ordered this! I wore it for the first time last night, and my husband liked it so much that he even had me put some on him. It's a soft lavender scent, with strong overtones of creamy marshmallow and vanilla. It's such a cozy and relaxing scent, and putting it on last night immediately relieved my stressed-out state of mind. I ended up wearing it to bed instead of Somnus, and it helped me drift off right away! It's wonderful!

In the bottle, I smell some of the plastic-like scent that a few others have mentioned, but once on my skin, it smells like a creamy, cool, minty/wintergreen vanilla delight! The mint was surprise since I didn't get that from sniffing the bottle, and I love how crisp feeling it makes the vanilla. I really like this scent, but the throw and wear are a bit below average. On my wrists, it faded after about two hours, although it did last a little longer on my neck and cleavage area. Love it, and will have to just slather it on a bit more!

Source: Imp from the Lab This has a light, sparkling undercurrent to it that reminds me in some ways of La Vita Nuova. Although rose scents usually amp up on my skin, the rose in this remains light, and the pear and plumeria appear more strongly on my skin after drydown. This is really a lovely, light floral scent, but it only has low throw and low wear on my skin, so I probably won't spring for a bottle. If you like florals, though, you'll probably really enjoy this one!

Source: Imp from the Lab In the imp, this one is just lovely and foody and heavenly! As several other people have mentioned, it smells like orange-flavored sugar cookies, with a just a hint of pepper. It's a sunny, cheery scent, wonderful for days when you need a bit of a lift. Unfortunately, this hardly lasts on me at all! In less than two hours, it completely disappears, leaving me searching for Tweedledee on my wrists and neck! I haven't had a chance to try it in my scent locket yet, so that may yield better staying power!

Smut 08 bottle from the lab Oh, yes, this is a heady, sexy scent! In the bottle, the boozy scent is strong, but, on application, the musk comes out much more and leaves a stronger hold on my skin than does the booze. I'm also picking up some of the sugary scent on dry down; wisps of it sometimes remind me of the sugary vanilla in Snake Oil, which is odd since they are such different scents and only share that vanilla/sugar connection. I really love Smut! On me, this has slightly lower-than-average throw, and it lasts about four or five hours. I wish it would last a bit longer, but it just gives me an excuse to re-apply and to slather!

On my skin, the amber and kush boldly look out, but the musk also peeks out and gives the scent a darker feel. It's a very warm, very sensual scent, and my skin isn't picking up on the grassiness that some other reviewers have pointed out. It's rich, warm, and inviting -- and I love it! The throw is a bit under-average, and, very sadly, it has a very short wear length on me. It's one that I'll have to slather or wear in my CD scent locket, but it's definitely worth it!

This is a lovely, clean scent that is perfect for spring and summer. On my skin, the apple blossom and grapes are dominant, but in a light way. I get a very subtle hint of the lemon and rose, but they are not too strong that they take over the scent. It has mild throw to it, and only lasted on my skin for a few hours before I had to re-apply. I love this scent, and it will be perfect for the coming warmer seasons!

On applying Blood Countess, I did get the cherry-cough-syrup smell that a few people mentioned, and I was worried at first since it was so incredibly sweet. But after about 15 minutes, BC died down to a rich, heady mix of berries, plum, and red fruits, and the overly sweet scent faded down. It's a lovely scent, and I'm so glad that I bought a bottle!

I just received my bottle of Blood Rose, which I had to buy since I knew from the moment I tried my imp that one little imp would not be enough. It's one of my favorite scents! This is definitely not your grandmother's rose perfume! It's sexy and heady, and the dark wine and dragon's blood scents really linger, in a very good way. It's also got excellent throw, and lasts on me for five or more hours. Very sexy and lovely! ADDED March 3: In the past, I've always worn light, tea rose type scents, but there is something about Beth's darker scents that really appeals to me. If you like rose scents, as I do, you will probably love Blood Rose! In the imp, you smell the dark, heavy scent of roses. On me, it morphed slightly, but only to get darker and richer and sexier. It's a very sexy, dark rose, and it has really nice throw and staying power. It's definitely not your grandmother's rose scent! One dab of the imp wand on my wrists and another dab on my neck lasts me all day at work. After about eight hours of wear, it mellows to a rosy powdery scent that is also lovely. I will be ordering a full bottle of this in my next order!

This is such a warm, comforting scent! In the imp, I smell a hint of the booze, but, once it's on my skin, the booze disappears and I just smell delicious, almond-y fruitcake. I love putting this on first thing in the morning on days when I work at home and wallowing in how sweet and comforting it is! I'd LOVE a big bottle of this!

Source: Imp from the lab I love foodie scents, but was worried that this might be too foodie for everyday, outside wear. I was remaining optimistic, and my optimism was rewarded! On me, the currant scent is very subtle, and the vanilla and cake scents are warm and yet not too strong. The cake scent is so warm and inviting! Yum and ummm!

A bombardment of edible carnival indulgences. Funnel cake, caramel apple, cotton candy, salt water taffy and sugar tart. Source: Bottle of Midway (Resurrected) from the Lab Midway does all kind of wonderful things for me! It starts off like freshly spun cotton candy and sugary delights. The buttery scent of carnival treats also makes an appearance, before drying down to a more funnel-cake-like smell. The throw on this is strong, but it doesn't last for longer than a few hours unless I keep re-applying. The hubby can't stop sniffing me when I wear this! It's a must-have for foodies!

Source: Bottle from the lab Several people have likened this to Kama Sutra's Honey Powder, and I agree that it smells very similar to that if you're familiar with it. O has a sexy, honey scent to it, one that drips with the slightest hint of amber and vanilla. I can't smell the cherry chocolate that others have referred to, but I do get a bit of the baby powder. O seems to last strongly a few hours on me, and then it dies off into a honey goodness. Love it!

Source: Bottle from the lab I don't smell the lavender as strongly as some other people do, but Somnus has a lovely, soothing, herbal smell to it. This magical concoction also works sleep miracles! I've had my bottle for about two months now, and I bought it when I was going through a period of bad sleep. Every night, I was getting up in the wee, early hours to use the er . . . ladies' room, and then I couldn't get back to sleep. The very first night I used my Somnus, those middle-of-the-night wake-ups stopped! I haven't woken up in the middle of the night since then! As a side note, my DH also likes Somnus much better than the pure lavender oil I've been using the last few years before bedtime. He says that Somnus is a lot more subtle and not overpowering at all!

I got this as a frimp from the Lab with my first order, and loved it so much that I had to order a bottle! It does have that cherry/chocolate cola scent when you first smell it in the bottle, but once I apply it on my skin, the nicotiana and red wine really come out. The patchouli isn't as noticeable on me, but the nicotiana and wine blend into a rich, musky scent. It has really nice throw and staying power on me, and the scent becomes richer and more complex the longer it is on. I love it and am thinking about ordering a second bottle since it's a LE and won't be around for too long!

Exquisitely melancholy. The background scent to an ancient exequies. Heavy, dark and floral: a blend of roses, with a touch of amber and musk. The musk and amber aren't coming through as much on me, but the scent of heavy, dark, gothic roses definitely is! This is a rich, deep scent, and it has wonderful throw and staying power. It's one of the best rose scents I've tried from BPAL!

Based on the descriptions of this, I ordered a bottle before trying it first in an imp, and I'm so glad that I went ahead and bought the actual bottle! It's a light, lovely floral scent, with nice throw and staying power. The vanilla and powdery notes that are showing up on other people don't come through as strongly on me. Instead, I get soft, subtle amber; a hint of sandalwood; and soft notes of sweet pea. If you like floral scents that are subtle and sweet, this is a wonderful one to try!

This is my first review, and it's also the first bottle I've bought, so I thought it was fitting to review this scent first. On opening the bottle, the lightness of the scent surprised me. Despite the description, I was expecting something darker and heavier. The grapefruit jumps out, as do the floral scents. After about 20 minutes of wearing it, I started to smell like Lemon Pledge (as some other reviewers mentioned), but, fortunately, this only lasted about 10 minutes before it morphed into a lovely, light, floral scent. The grapefruit lingers, as do the jasmine and wisteria. It also has really nice staying power, and lasted all day on my at work. It's a lovely scent, and I am so glad that I ordered a full bottle! It's a beautiful, unique scent!
