Berry tartness! Then it smoothes into what I could swear is a touch of leather and blackberry pastilles. This is yummy and booze/foody! It has really good staying power and it's very playful. If it were a saloon girl, she'd be wearing a corset, pantalettes and cowboy boots and be drunk on berry wine.

White, white, white. Yes, it's lillies and roses at a Church funeral. But to me, there's something a bit aerial about this. Not in an ozone way, but in the way the air smells on a cold day if these flowers were right outside your door and you walked out into it. This is really an intense floral for me. It's strong at first, but then fades out to nothing after awhile. I feel like I say 'interesting' in every review. But that's what it is, it's really interesting and intense and cold white floral and crisp humid air.

I have to agree this is summer. It's a clean floral to my nose. I don't know what a linden blossom smells like, but if it smells like white blossoms over freshy sun dried laundry, that is what this smells like. It smooths out into a wispy, barely there beauty. This is amazing, a definite keeper!

This smells beautiful for five minutes....and then it's all over. Waah, my skin devours Sudha Segara. But it is beautiful and milky while it lasts.

A sniff of this from the imp was delicious. Almonds, rose, clove. Delectable! I was so excited. And I hate my skin chemistry right now, because the clove and orange peel never showed up on my skin. Instead now it is rose scented body powder. *sob*. I love rose, but not rose powder. For those of you who can wear this and have the precious scrumptiousness of it all....I am so jealous!

Hell, yes! O delicious Spooky, I hail thee! A coconut Thin Mint. This smells so awesome. It is purely foody, and I want to eat it, it smells so good. I will refrain, though. It starts out a little more minty on me, but now it's mostly chocolate and coconut with occasional twinges of cool minty-ness. I want this in a shower gel and a hair conditioner! I want this as a room scent. I want this in dryer sheets and a/c vents. Ok, I love it!

Neat! This is a total flower melt of gardenia and jasmine. It creates a new flower, a Jasdenia. I really can't tell which one is stronger. They are both of equal strength. Like others, I'm having a hard time distinguishing the rose. The vanilla is there, but in a tiny way, and the floral makes it a creamy scent. Is there such a thing as a creamy fresh floral? That's what this is, I think. A creamy Jasdenia with a bare whisker of vanilla. This is super girly, frilly dress, sitting in a patch of sunlight in the garden, eating a vanilla bon bon. Very pretty.

Oooh, such hopes I had. I love sweet pea, and I love carnation, too. In the vial this smells pretty and feminine. Unfortunately, it went sharp and green on me. The sharp, green scent stayed the longest. Now it's dulled down into a gentle flower petal against my wrist, but I don't know if I want to smell the sharp part of this for the beautiful petal softness that comes hours later. It just doesn't work on me.

Usually the inability to fall asleep with someone new in the bed diminishes after time. Is he a tosser and turner, or is there a lot of movement in your bed? My SO tosses and turns, and it used to really wake me up and piss me off until we got a new mattress. That might be something to think about. Also, for me, spooning is terrible. I have to be away and not touching parts of him when I sleep. I don't know how cuddlers do it. It gets too hot and uncomfortable for me to do that for more than a few minutes. As far as BPAL goes, I love Nanshe. I sleep hard when I wear that to bed.

Out of the vial I smelled maraschino cherries, as well. This really smelled fun and fruity and rich. And then "The Amber Curse". Now it's an almond-y baby powder. Rats.

Biblical witch, priestess of Astarte, and general troublemaker. A true role model for today’s upwardly mobile Modern Woman. A gloriously decadent blend of honey, roses, orange blossom and sandalwood. O Jezebel, you dirty little harlot! What a beeyotiful smell in the vial. Even my son was impressed and wanted me to test it on a jaunt to the mall (I am trying to expose him to BPAL, he can't wait to try some of the masculine fragrances). It's sweet and a tiny bit floral. Twenty minutes later, what I am now calling "The Amber Curse" hit, turning it into pure, unadulterated baby powder. *sigh* I know amber isn't listed as an ingredient, but I'm hoping that was what did it, because the thought that there is another ingredient that might turn to powder is heartbreaking to me. *sob* Why, Jezebel, why?

This is very clean and crisp. It reminded me a bit of a White Tea & Ginger shower gel I have. It's really very light, so I think it's another one of the fabulous "all occasion" perfume oils that can be worn on any occasion. This moved to almost all honeysuckle after I put it on, but the tea in the background kept it from being too cloying. Shanghai for some reason reminds me of a nurse. She's spotless, efficient and compassionate. When you catch a whiff of her, you're comforted.

Light, gentle, subtle scents for the office, class, expectant moms

I found Veil to be really gentle and pretty. I think it's nicely understated. -
Soooo wonderful! I really smell the honey and the chocolate is barely there, but noticeable...I can't discern the other notes, I only know that this is beautiful and I adore it. My skin does seem to soak it up though, but who cares? With something this gorgeous, I wouldn't mind slathering in it. Can you tell I love this? There's something warm in this blend, too, the florals aren't chilly or cold florals, but warm without being humid if that makes sense. It's a work of genius, IMHO.

Oh my...quite Queenly indeed. And how wonderful, too, that the scent matches perfectly with my ideas about Gertrude herself. Don't know how Beth does it, but damn...re-read Hamlet if you want to know what this smells like. Probably none of us could put together a perfume like that in a million years, that's why we buy BPAL. Majesty, cool almost cold, rich, secret sensuality, treacherous. It is a floral, but a touch of green gone almost to ice. It's not me, but it's amazing anyway. Wow.

Blue-green. If blue-green had a smell, I think this would be it. Of course as everyone has said, an aquatic, but it's very smooth. Aquatics can very often be too sharp and make the inside of my nose hurt, but this is so muted and sedate, it could hardly offend anyone. It really is calm and lovely. I don't know if anyone else can smell this on me, it blends very well with the skin. This is an excellent multi purpose perfume, and I think it would be great for going out and doing activities-perhaps a picnic or running or going to the races. It's really pretty.

This is a little shape shifter, I think. At first, it smells like vanilla and a spice, and then some floral kicks into it. Maybe I'm nuts, but there's something vaguely fruity in there, too. This is a sophisticated blend. On me, it turns slightly powdery and dry floral. This is a sexy college professor scent. I'm totally wowed by it when I sniff the imp, but it really tones down on me and fades so quickly. If I could find a way to get it to stick, I'd be in heaven.

Oooh, lavender and..citrus? I'm not sure what kind of citrus, but this smells delightful. I wouldn't wear it for a daytime perfume, and that wasn't my intention when I bought it. I bought it to wear to bed, and I think it's a perfect bedtime scent. It's soothing and not cloying or sticky smelling. It smells clean as you slip between the covers of your cozy bed. Bonus is, my normally scent hating SO hasn't complained a peep about it. I sleep fairly easily, so I don't know how this would work as a sleep oil for those with difficulty. I did notice that when I wore it, both nights I crashed hard. I had good, deep sleep. I love this. I'm so glad I got a 5ml. I even put a little in my salt water spray that I use to perk up my hair.

A new order means...more reviews! Yay! This scent is very sophisticated. I did not get "cherry medicine" like some did. What this is on me is a mellow, deep, dark cherry with a dusting of powdered sugar. I think this is amazing. The is the cherry I wanted out of Black Phoenix that I couldn't have because the amber went to baby powder on me. This is not like anything I've ever smelled before, and it really is something I imagine a very sophisticated woman would wear. Fantastic!

Oh damn, I didn't know you were going to be doing "user support", Andra! I just updated mine my own self. I've tweaked around with the original you made to make it my own, as it were. But if I'd have known you were going to be adding all the new stuff yourself....well....

Awesome! Cinnamon, cinnamon, cinnamon! My SO generally hates any sort of fragrance, but he liked this one. This was all cinnamon on me, for hours, and I loved it! Cinnamon, OK?! Mmmmm!

Ooooh, sweetness! I may be imagining things, but this smells like it has something spicy in it, like gingerbread. It's very buttery, and sweet, like a dark cookie. It is definitely food'y and won't do for people who don't like food scents. After a few hours, it has a slightly dusty quality on me, like honey ginger cake crumbs, maybe a dusting of flour at the bottom of the cake pan.

A beautiful creamy floral. It's a bit tart, but not as tart as the pomegranate in Persephone. But there's something just underneath that is creamy. It makes this smelly like what I think a milk bath with rose petals would smell like. It's quite lovely. edited: I just read the description, and there aren't roses...so *sniiiiif*...ok, perhaps the creaminess is messing up my nose. But it's a floral. In a milk bath. I'm sticking with that part...

This is sweet and lovely. It was creamy honey on me, with something grain-like in the background. Mmm, it really does smell beautiful. This is another scent that could be used for every occasion. The honey lends it a nice depth. I felt like I could almost sink into good smelling yumminess when I sniffed this on my wrist. ADDED March 11: On me, five hours after applying, this is still going way strong! This has serious staying power on me. This is creamy and very sweet. It smells like there's some kind of floral in this, but I can't tell what it is. It's really very beautiful and truly unique, like so many of the BPAL fragrances. It's a comforting scent in the way of memories. It smells like I remember it felt, being a very little girl and having to take a nap. It's warm, the room is very quiet and I'm drowsy and there is nothing wrong in the world. I snuggle up with my blankie...and that is this scent.

Wispy juniper at first, and then it turned to powder. I'm so sad. The mint never came out for me. In the bottle this smells divine, an almost mossy aquatic.
