Expanding on the hair question - does anyone like those flower clips for the hair that are big right now?? Not so much.

A seductive, serpentine white scent, elusive, crystalline, and spellbinding: white amber, silver birch, immortelle, davana, pale musk, star jasmine, and ylang ylang. The Girl is so, so, so lovely. Probably my #1 LE and it is HARD to find a bottle! I have been coveting my tiny imp. Should probably review it. In imp: floral but also that same creaminess/musk I get from Dorian. Sweet but not overly so. Wet: Skin hugging musk and crystalline floral abound. Dry: This is really like a second skin. Body hugging BPAL to the max. Throw isn't huge but that's what gives it the intrigue. Pale musk is doing it for me. Florals never get obnoxious yet keep it feminine--the chilliness is helpful in this aspect. Again, like Dorian, this is the kind of cream/musk/vanilla I can get behind and it's the definition of simply lovely perfume. Staying power is excellent. I get whiffs the next day still. This perfume is one of those perfect blends. Simply amazing. I regret not buying a bottle when it was out. Hardcore. In the meantime I will hoard the precious decant and stretch it out for as long as humanly possible. Definitely a 11 out of 10. Perfection!

I tried a sniffie of this when I first began BPAL but didn't like it. I was PIF'd an imp by Dark Alice a few weeks ago and HOMG. I think my skin chemistry has changed. This. is. LOVE. In the vial, it was pretty innocuous. Pretty light and not at all aggressive.Couldn't really suss much out by just sniffing it. Wet: Mmm, tea and the good kind of vanilla. Hint of lemon. Fresh. Creamy. Soft. Dry: HEAVEN. Really, this, for some reason, evokes something similar to The Girl for me (which is nice, The Girl is 1) htf and 2) frakking expensive when you do). I think my skin chemistry has changed with age and medications over time and seriously, I got a warm vanilla with tea and what I feel is maybe skin musk? I never was a big fan of vanilla in the past but this just melds perfectly. Not too big of throw which is what I want for work. I get a whiff now and again when moving and it's just....ahhh! Lovely!

I really, really loved this...until my body decided to amp the coconut to like 1000x it's smell-power. Holy cow! Overwhelming! I love me some coconut, but it ate every other note in here and just kind of fizzled. Don't get me wrong, I'd still wear it, but I'd need to layer it with something else...maybe something citrus so it could have a fighting chance of being sniffed. A lovely summer scent, but my skin finds the BPAL coconut notes and amplifies them too much! In the vial I got a nice sniff of florals, but on my skin...goodbye! 3.5/5 because I *do* love coconut.

Hmm...I'm not sure I'd wear this but the scent was interesting. I get a very buttery, pulpy scent from this, the mixing of the mandarin and pumpkin I believe and a nice tang from the ginger and amber. It's not something I'd wear, but it doesn't smell bad. Just incredibly different. Juicy and pulpy and fun, just not to my taste. 2/5

This is a tricky little scent! I love it but unfortunately it doesn't love me and my skin burned like the dickens on application. Still, if I could wear it, I would. I love the coconut and pepper's interaction and it gives me a scent all unto itself. It reminds me of something I can't quite put my finger on. It's fun and sweet with a nice pepper bite. I'd give it a 3/5 but since it buuuuuuurns I'll give it a 2/5.

Hello GREEN! This whole scent is 'green' to me. I love the playful scent of the green musk and lime and pear that intertwine so well. Definitely a great, fresh summer scent. Again, not a lot of throw on my skin, but I still love it. Bottle worthy? Maybe not, but I will love my imp of it and maybe find another. 4/5

This will be so lovely in the fall. Possibly in my oil burner. I'm not sure this is a good skin scent for me, it gave me burning tinglies, but it IS lovely. Spicy, playful and reminiscent of fall, I think this is a winner. I will bump out some other fall favorites for this one....mm, the brown sugar and sassafras were amped on me (though I think I blame the clove for the burning) and it was a lovely combination when the plum got playful. 3/5

WOW! I liked this way more than I thought I would because I amp sweet pea like it's my job. I didn't get any hints of overly sugared rose or candyfloss but I do get a nice whiff of the vanilla and lemon and my, this is a sweet, fun scent. I don't know if I would wear it to work, but it's a great summer scent and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not usually a foodie-sweet wearer and I might just dab this on during the weekends. 4/5

Ech, this did not work. I was hoping for any little bit of coconut or red currant. They are two of my favorite scents. I didn't even get any lemon sugar. All I got was Apricot and vetiver battling it out in a death match of 'meh'. The vetiver won and I was disappointed. 1/5, I will not be wearing this one.

At first, this one does not sit well on me. While wet it's all sugar and ambergris on my skin, but at drydown the chamomile comes out and mellows the whole thing down a few notches. It then turns very faint on my skin and I found it pleasant, but not something I'd want to wear very often. Not my favorite of the set, but still lovely in it's own way. I'm a chamomile junkie and I just wish it would have amped up more and given me the best of that scent. I give it a 3/5.

This was sexy. It started out musky and then the vanilla and tonka kicked it up a notch and the cardamom came out to play .It went from a bit 'meh' to absolutely gorgeous in about 5 minutes. Probably the most wearable out of the set and I will definitely wear it. Again, maybe not bottleworthy, but one imp is not enough! 5/5

I was graciously BPAL Santa'd this by Stellans....and omg...love. In the vial it's very floral and when I apply it, I get lemony/lavender and a lovely light floral throw. It's not very strong and I get it in whiffs...but holy cow...lovely. I almost smell a little bit of 'bats' themselves, but maybe it's me...I believe it's the lemon and sage playing together. Lovely, and feeling very lucky to try this. Divine! 4.5/5!

I was frimped this a while ago from Dark Alice and I haven't gotten around to reviewing it though I've worn it a few times... In the bottle: Sea-of-Glassy with more Ozone and a hint of amber Wet: Cologney ozone with the salty glass feeling Dry: Amber and ozone and a hint of salt and quite lovely actually. I test drove it on my husband as well, but liked it better on me. Awesome scent and really enjoy it! 4/5

2009 Version In the bottle: more floral and snowy On Wet: Almonds, flowers, ozone and strangely...coconut... Dry: Very floral-almondy with a twist of vanilla and coconut...mmm...deliciously light yet noticeable throw and strangely, almonds have never smelled so good!

Um. Awesome. Soft on my skin with a femininity but not overly perfumey. I get some weird vibes from this. I'm definitely getting crisp, fresh cut sour green apples and chilly mint and then it all goes to hell and I get this powdery 'pre-teen' perfume scent that gave me one hum-dinger of a headache. Fresh on it was deliciously crisp, cold and apple-y but dry down failed me miserably. Powder and apples...noooo thanks. 1.5/5 for headache inducing properties.
