What do bottles and labels look like?

Got my Dark Delicacies today too! Those and the Prototypes and Vintages are up on flickr.

What do bottles and labels look like?

Ooh, pretty. My vintage and unreleased/prototypes were put in the mail to me today.. once I receive them I will put up some photos. I'm still waiting on my two remaining lupercalia orders (now with agape) .. still a week off at this point I am guessing (snake charmer being back ordered and all) so no photos of Agape yet on my end. Soon!!

What do bottles and labels look like?

Ooh -- ALL of the Labbies? What about the goblins? I added Bony Moon and Earth Ox today to flickr. And Blood Moon '05 from a trade.

    White Rose

As soon as I opened the bottle and smelled this, it made my mouth water. Wha...? I can smell the Vanilla Tea and Coconut, but it seems like there is some kind of creamy fruit involved. Almost lemony except not tart -- very sweet. Interesting! The exhale yields a teeny bit of rose fragrance. I can't wait to layer it with Red Rose!

    Red Rose

Wow, I am hardly getting any rose at all. Not surprising I suppose, if you read the other reviews! This is all musky clove and amber on me, with a teeny waft of rose. Love!

    Lupanar Atmospheric Spray

Wow, Lupanar is AMAZING. The honey reminds me completely of Mead Moon or O but with a teeny bit of almond and a deeper darker scent that seems to ground it. I can't really distinguish either Myrrh or Ylang (and I thought I was pretty familiar with each!) The bottle I have is for a circle -- I am seriously considering getting my very own bottle. Even though I have 18 bottles of Room Spray from the Post right now. Srsly.

Tramp, you always get your oils so fast! What is your secret?? I just got my BPTP order today and added photos of Unity and Lupanar to the photo stream.

    Kubla Khan

In the imp - vanilla, rose, sandalwood, jasmine Wet on skin - sandalwood, vanilla, leather, tobacco, rose. Dry on skin - Rose and jasmine. And sugar. This is a very nice sweet purple jasmine. Rose is backing off as Jasmine takes over. So far, full of win.

    Malice

In the imp, ylang ylang and some myrrh. On my skin, medium dry not sweet patchouliiiiiiii and myrrh. Dry on skin, sweetens up a bit. Maybe the clove helping the patchouli out? The ylang, myrrh, and patchouli have blended enough now to not be single notes. Yum!

    Lucy's Kiss

I was hoping for a bit more spice but on me this is all Rose Rose Rose! Not a red rose, like Rose Red from the Yule series, but more of a traditional victorian rose perfume. I am getting the color pink, which is silly -- as someone who had over 50 types of rose bushes at one time (mostly purple, pink, black, or two toned (stripes, splashes), or unique scents (myrrh for example) -- roses come in a LOT of scents and colors), I know that color has nothing to do with scent. But still. Pink. Sweet top with a musky bottom note. I like it, but was still hoping for the spice.

    Holiday Stress Relief Bath Oil

This is just as lovely as the Holiday Stress Relief perfume given out at Will Call. The geranium is what I smell the most of, with the mint and clary sage in the background. I can't really smell the lavender, this is really a very well blended oil. I haven't used this as an actual bath oil yet -- I take a shower and then apply the oil to my damp skin and can smell it for hours and hours. The oil is very velvet-y and soaks in without making my skin feel greasy.

    Humbug

In the bottle: Not as black of a licorice as I was expecting. But not overly sweet either. More of a fennel smell, if that makes sense. Wet on skin: The anise comes out a little more. Dry on skin: Still anise and vanilla. A very creamy subdued anise, but more anise than vanilla on me.

    Bah!

In the bottle: Woah there! Coffee! It almost smells like someone spiked it with Bailey's Irish Cream!! No chocolate. Wet on skin: Deep dark black black coffee. Bailey's smell receding. Chocolate coming out. Dry on skin: Black, almost bitter, coffee. Chocolate - very dry and dusty chocolate, similar to Gelt. Hm. Might have to let this age and try it again during a different time on my cycle.

    Uncertain Horror

In bottle: Hm. This is really well blended. I am having a hard time picking out individual notes except that this is thick, dark, and sweet. Wet on skin: Incense. Deep, dark. Woody. A little smoky. Sweet. Still VERY well blended. Dry on skin: Not a morpher on me. Same as wet. Love.

    Scattered Gloom

In the bottle: Deep, dark, slightly sweet and dry. Resins. Woody. Wet on skin: Dark yet sweet incense. Lovely! The sweet really balances the dark resin and wood. Dry on skin: Hasn't morphed much from being wet. Very very nice.

    Hollyberry & Mistletoe

In the bottle: Evergreen. Berry. Wet on skin: Cinnamon? Teeny bit of fruit. Dry on skin: The evergreen is peeping back out and mixing with the cinnamon spice and fruit. Very VERY Christmas-y.

    Snow Angel

This is referring to the Goblin Storytime version of Snow Angel. In the bottle: Lemonade and peach tea mixed together. With a lot of sugar dumped in. Yum. Wet on skin: Mostly lemon. Dry on skin: Lemon is still the top note. Sparkling sugar. But the peach and tea give it depth and ground it a bit so the bottom note is a little darker and deeper. As it dries more, the notes all mix together seamlessly. Now I can sense the snow! The lemon has dwindled a lot. Now it is a snowy black tea with a lot of sugar and a little bit of peach and lemon.

    Snowblind

In bottle: The minty version of Love's Philosophy. With more mint. But the creamy vanilla is pretty much spot on for LP. Wet on skin: Creamy smooth vanilla mint. Buttery. Dry on skin: Hmm, kind of an odd plastic smell. This is the first time that BPAL's vanilla has done that to me. I'm going to chalk it up to hormones and try it again after aging a bit and during a different time in my cycle.

    Gluhwein

In the bottle: Very strong spiced mulled red wine and mead. This very much reminds me of red wine mixed with Chaucer's Mead after mulling on the stove with the spice packet. Wet on skin: The wine smell goes away almost immediately. I am left with honey, cinnamon, clove, and a teeny bit of orange. Dry on skin: Pretty much the same as wet. Lovely!!!! I am glad I ended up with two bottles of this. A keeper!!

    Honey and Beeswax scents

I've had Hand of Glory in my scent locket for a while now -- and it's totally beeswax there. Hanerot Halalu is also glorious and is be a back up bottle worthy scent for me.

    L'Autunno Bath Oil

Mmmm. This is all heavy syrupy molasses and earthy sage, sweetgrass, cedar, and patchouli. I am not getting any cinnamon leaping out at me which is ok -- it is SO beautiful. I had to get a back up bottle of the bath oil!

Down the Rabbit Hole Atmosphere Spray

I was blessed with a goblin squirt of this! Floral and wet dirt with a teeny hint of sweet sticky orange!! I love my squirt but I'm not really into the dirt scents. I love the idea and the images that it evokes, however.

    L'Autunno Atmospheric Spray

Autumn is usually my favorite. I really wanted to love this spray to death but it is a leetle too smoky. Samhain remains my true love!
