Added Carnval Diabolique Act I, II, and IV. Some various other additions: Black Opal, Dragon's Milk, Pink Phoenix, Dyan Moon, Ecstasy of True Love, and the labels and progress for my Carnaval decant circle that I'm doing right now.

Sugar Cookie 2004 -- well aged! Very yummy cinnamon sugar cookies. More cinnamon than 2005, so I'm going to go ahead and swap this for something else. Don't get me wrong, it's very scrumptious and lovely. I just don't see myself wearing it a lot.

Is anyone having any problems with CCNOW right now? I placed an order the second that the shirts were up on BPTP and it was declined. I re-placed this morning with my debit card (which has plenty of money in the account) and CCNOW claims it was declined again. wtf?? I even just checked the balance online and it's totally fine. I reordered with only one shirt, so the total is $26. My account has four figures in it. I loathe PayPal. Sigh. But I'll have to use it if I can't get CCNOW working. Must make my lunacy order from the lab next!!

Added my BPTP Mystery Room Spray and three Bath Oils to the BPAL Fiends Flickr Group. And the Steamworks imps. And some of the Pharm. imps. And a few more postcards.

I just added my latest order to the bpal fiends group on flickr. Mostly Tikis but also Dragon Moon, some Steamworks, a Pratchett/Gaiman, the new Stardust bottles and more. (see link in sig.)

I only have the first one (Phoenix Steamworks) but it has the same picture on the label as shown by the scent description. I'm getting a couple more in my next order (TODAY according to the CNS from the post office, woo hoo! still waiting on my package. boo hoo.) so once I get home (ANOTHER funeral today -- third one in two months - this seriously needs to stop) and get my package, Once they arrive, I'll take photos and stick them up on the bpal flickr group and my bpal flickr page. everyone is welcome to post their photos to the bpal flickr group!!

I just got this as a frottle from the lab. In the bottle: Tea rose In the scent locket: Tea rose I'm not wearing things on my skin right now -- going through an itchy skin flare up phase where I break into a rash if I put any fragrance on my wrists. *pout* So can't say what it would be like on my skin. But I'm loving it in the scent locket -- today is the second day in a row I've worn it in the locket. I'm at the end of my cycle and wanted something soft and feminine. It's quite a lovely rose scent and I'm getting pure pure rose. Not sure if this is a product of it aging alone and untouched or what. I'm assuming the lab stores their extra unused bottles in a dark, cool place.

My first tiki orders were Tiki King and Opuhi, the first two that caught my eye and ordered before any reviews came out. I am so not disappointed!! In the bottle I can really smell a lot of the wood, lemon, and a teeny bit of coconut. On my skin it's all wood and musk. But since I wear everything in a scent locket lately (my skin is starting to react to the oils and getting itchy, ick.) I'm really only concerned with how it smells in the locket. And in the locket it is fab!! I'm getting a lot of dark musk with some lemon to brighten it and a coconut wood bottom note. I keep sniffing the locket directly and sighing. Mmm.

I haven't had a chance to formally sit and test this, but I did sample it a few times right after receiving it. After one of those samplings, my friend said it smelled very much like fir or pine on me. I was hoping for a little more musk and smoke... but I will try again. Lately I've been wearing everything in my scent locket(s) so I'll do this one day on wrists and in locked both and see what happens.

You're welcome!! No worries, I'll keep adding to the gallery as I have time (and money to get bottles.....)

Frimped by the lab! In the imp this is bright and sweet green. I keep thinking of sweet grass. Wet on my skin it is very light and bright, still sweet, almost a floral. As it dries the musk and amber are coming out. Not getting any doeskin or woods. Still getting a sweet floral top with the amber musk bottom.

Frimped by the lab! in the imp it's all HELLO, I'M VETIVER! On my skin it's earthy dark patchouli and vetiver holding hands and skipping around, taunting the rest of the oils with their strength. Once it dries down a bit, I can smell (in different whiffs) the pine, the almond, and the lime. But not all at the same time. They are poking their heads out from behind their individual trees after the strong patchouli and vetiver combo go past. A little vanilla and myrrh are hiding in the background too. Interesting scent -- I habe a code righbt now so I am not sure I am smelling it to it's fullest potential. While try again when my nose doesn't feel so filled with sharp prickly porcupine quills each time I smell something.

In the bottle this is spicy clove and vanilla/cinnamon that is "Balsam of Peru". I can smell a bit of the sandalwood from the "motia attar" but none of the jasmine. Definitely musky. A tiny bit of fruit -- maybe from the grapes and the tagetes? On my skin the clove comes out in full force (YAY!! CLOVE!!) Dry down is back to to clove, cinnamon, vanilla, sandalwood, a bit of fruit deep within but mostly dark spices. Very lovely. Glad I grabbed a couple of bottles.

In the bottle it's a delicate cherry blossom floral. Doesn't morph much on my skin -- still very delicate and feminine. Well blended. Beautiful and floaty.

In the bottle this is strawberry, black currant, black orchid and teak, very sweet and a bit musky. I'm beginning to realize that I like most of the scents with black orchid in them. The violet and I *think* the blackberry leaf are helping to darken this up. I smell this and think of a dark blue/black/purple twilight during the late spring when the days are nights are pleasantly warm. On my skin I'm still getting the sugar musk with a woody dark fruit. Violet doesn't usually work on me, so that note was scaring me a bit in the description, but it seems to blend in to the darkness. A little reminescent of La Bef.ana.
-
In the bottle it's lovely lovely soft creamy glowing amber with a teeny teak bottom. On my skin it remains lovely and creamy. The teak and amber blend together as the bottom and the lotus comes out as part of the top creamy note. Yum. This will be a multiple bottle order.

In the bottle it's a little bit of citrus and some dark amber. On my skin the violet immediately comes out. Eek. Violet seems to hate me lately. As it dries I am smelling mostly amber with some violet and a teeny bit of ylang. The patchouli just adds an earthy background. This is a violet that might actually work on me!! As it sits even longer on my skin, the citrus comes back out. Now I'm getting citrus top notes with a violet bottom. Stays close to my skin and not a very long wear time.

Frimped with this from the lab yesterday!! Schrodinger's Cat has been a favorite theory for me since reading the Illuminati series in my teens. I'm one of those geeks that wears shirts that say things like "Schrodinger's Cat is Dead" on one side and "Schrodinger's Cat is not Dead" on the other. The most interesting thing about this model is that it changes if observed!! You wouldn't think observation would have any effect on particles. But anyway, one to the perfume. In the imp, I'm getting the fruits -- lime, grapefruit, maybe some tangerine. On my skin, the lavender immediately comes out for some fruity lavender. As it dries, I'm still getting mostly lavender and fruit with a little bit of mint. This smells almost exactly like my Chaos Theory III bottle! Innnteresting. Lovely and unusual.

I've been wanting to try this one for a while and yesterday I was frimped with it from the lab!! In the imp I'm getting a minty herbal smell, but it doesn't remind me of catnip (which I grow and dry, then grind in my mortar/pestle and make muslin balls for my friends with kittehs.) I put some on my skin before lunch but I must have washed my hands because I can no longer smell it. Put some on again. It's not *cool* like mint. It's lovely and warm. A bit grassy like alfalfa hay. Sweet. Now it is starting to smell more like catnip as it dries. I'm not getting any of the rose, jasmine, or lemon like other people. It's all warm grassy herbal. It's very nice - going to use it a few more times and see if I need a bottle. *edit* Got another frimp of this from the lab in my last order. Used it in my scent locket today. I'm getting tons and tons of ROSE this time!!! That is the dominating scent. And guess what else? Catnip. How odd!! I'm going to have to compare this imp to my other -- or maybe it's the difference of having it in a scent locket as opposed to my skin chemistry changing it. Either way, it's still lovely.
-
In the bottle I'm getting jasmine and dark rosy amber. On my skin, it's still a rose and amber scent with a bottom note of jasmine. As it dries I can get some pops of grapefruit and the bottom expands to include the musk scent. Lovely and well blended, but I think the one bottle will do me.
-
In the bottle I'm getting sweet sweet pomegranate and it remains true to scent on my skin. Mouthwatering and lovely! I wish pomegranate juice tasted as lovely as this smells! (It's a lot more tart without a ton of sugar added!) I am talking myself out of purchasing another bottle.
-
This was one that I was really looking forward to. I love sandalwood, patchouli, clove, cedar, rose... so HOW COULD IT GO WRONG?? But when it's on my skin I get mostly cedar. Then I start to get some whiffs of rose. I wish the clove would come out more, I love clove. Can't really smell the sandalwood or patchouli. I put this on right before lunch and after lunch I can't smell it at all.

In the bottle this is honey and vanilla with a teeny hint of amber and floral in the bottom notes. On my skin it's all warm glowing amber honey and vanilla. Darn it, now I want another bottle or two. There are too many lupercalias that work on me!! And the ones I thought I'd love, I didn't. Still learning I guess!
-
In the bottle I am getting a dark sweetness. Maybe the tonka and amber/myrrh. On my skin comes a bitter note that fades into amber. It's a dark ambery scent now, not powdery or dusty. A little sweet. I'm going to have to try this again later -- I've been testing a bit too long I think and perhaps my nose is starting to be overloaded, even with coffee bean sniffs in between.

I can't really smell this in the bottle. On my skin, it's a little spicy but a bright spicy instead of being dark. I think the bay and the musk are keeping the frankincense and the cinnamon down. It has a men's cologne feel to it (probably the bay rum.) Will have to try again later.
