I updated the BPAL Fiends group on Flickr with the C2E2 exclusives including the Room Sprays. I also uploaded my lone bottle from the Black Helicopter update (the Illuminati one.) And Egg Moon.

I wish I wasn't so busy at night now -- I sat for many nights and put things into ScentBase (and entered all of the Black Helicopters and C2EC, Neverwhere, Irredemables, Witchblade, etc. today) and I wouldn't mind doing it for Perfoom too. But we're going to be superbusy at work until the beginning of August at least. O_o

Not sure how I ended up with a bottle of this. I don't recall purchasing it.. It's an older label so maybe I got it as part of a lot. (My desktop computer at home is dead so I don't have access to my spreadsheet right now.) In the bottle: Jasmine! On my skin: Jasmine! There might be a hint of vanilla but to me this smells EXACTLY like the "Purple Jasmine" perfume that I still have a 5ml roller bottle of from The Body Scent which was a perfume/incense indie store in Seattle that used to be my favorite thing ever but has since closed down. I love this Jasmine. Love love love.

I bought this bottle in January 2008 right before they were discontinued. I can't believe I haven't reviewed it yet! In the bottle and wet, this is a subtle wintergreen. As it drys down, the wintergreen recedes and I'm getting a beautiful woody floral with a bit of tang and a hint of snow note, yet it seems fuzzy and comforting. Very close to the skin.

I have a bunch of chaos theory v in my flickr bpal gallery (under "other le's") and starting here.

Put up the SakuraCon exclusives on flickr in the BPAL Fiends Group... (the Bards of Ireland are there too.)

Hmmph. Double post.

I finally got my photos of Banshee Beat, Sweet Life, the Clockwork Couture scents, etc. posted on my flickr page!

CCNOW preauthorizes immediately but that drops off after a few days. Once your item is actually "harvested", you get the real charge. Unless you're using PayPal through CCNOW which would take the money immediately AND which BPAL asks us not to do on the Shiny & New page (http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com/new.html, right at the top.) If they spent all of their time contacting their HUGE customer base individually to let them know that their product is still being made, wouldn't that just make *everything* go more slowly? Or they'd have to hire someone SPECIFICALLY to do that one job.. and raise prices more. That's why we have the update threads on the forum... They usually are good about updating the "packed through" and "backordered" threads. If that doesn't work, you can always watch the CNS thread to see which dates are shipping and what the people ordered. BUT -- the reason I came in here -- I am VERY unhappy with CCNOW right now. Last lunacy I got one "your security code is incorrect" e-mail and had to place my order again. This month I've had TWO. Same card that I always use. I always check very carefully to make sure all of my information is correct. So as it stands right now, CCNOW has preauthorized my account THREE TIMES for one order (the two that "failed" and the subsequent order which hasn't failed yet) so I'm missing 3x the money out of my account until the preauthorizations drop off. Which does take a few days. And I'm VERY poor until Friday. GRRRRRRR.

Sorry, been very busy decanting -- got the rest of my bottles on Saturday. Had to work today. Ugh. Anyway, they are up on my flickr but I haven't sorted them into the BPAL set/collection yet.

There are at least three labels for Womb Furie. I forgot to post in here that I took photos of my first set of Valentine's day stuff. Just got the second CNS today so hopefully I'll have the next set of photos up by Saturday or Sunday. My BPAL Flickr Collection & Sets are here -> http://www.flickr.com/photos/miss_twilight...57606846994887/

You could try hosting on flickr. Flickr is free. (of course you can only host 200 photos at a time...)

I looked at the Museum's web site and could never find it (they do have Shrunken Heads!) and since I didn't CALL them to get any perfume.... no, I didn't get any. *weep* My original Black Lace label is a different color, darker blue. The new Black Lace label is the same design but more of a teal blue.

beachbabealways: yay! I'm glad it doesn't detract too much. Black Heart and Black Death:

I know how to do transparent/digital watermarks but neither of those are going to stop people from downloading the photo to add to their ebay auction; I would still have to jump through the same hoops as now to get it removed and by the time eBay gets around to it, the auction is over. The point of making it visible across the photo is a deterrent for that kind of theft. It's hard to go, "this is my photo of XXXXX" when it has *my* username across it. I guess they could always crop my name off (but in order to do that, they'll lose the neck and lid of the bottle too) but if they wanted to spend that much time on a photo why not just take their own? If they just ASKED ME if they could use it, I would give them permission as long as they credited me in the auction and admitted that it was not an actual photo of their perfume. I use Gimp for photo editing.

And Werepuppy too. I hate that I have to start watermarking stuff but I'm sick of people stealing my photos to use on their ebay auctions or whatnot. I'm going to have to play with the watermark size but it probably means more background and less label. I would guess when the rest of the GC labels changed? Are the Ars Draconis labels the same as regular GC labels now too? Anyone know?

Let's see... leather, vanilla, spice, burning. And musk for fun. And maybe some tea. Brom Bones (LE) The butchest, manliest of musks covered in well-worn leather. Western Diamondback Snake Oil with leather, tonka bean, red sandalwood, and sage. (Leather and Spicy Vanilla to my nose.) Dead Man's Hand (LE) Our Dead Man's Hand is the quintessential western scent: dusty rawhide and oiled leather. Mutant Hot Rodders from Hell High (LE) Shiny black leather jackets, gleaming silver studs, black pepper, pungent lime, and hellfire. Severin Dry black teas, Earl Gray, and leather. A Bachelor's Dog (LE) Soft musk, leather, and Brazilian cigar tobacco. Loviatar The slap of slick, hot leather punctuates the warm, sensual embrace of black amber, red musk and dark, lascivious myrrh. Hellfire A swirl of pipe tobacco, hot leather, ambergris, dark musk and the lingering incense smoke from their Black Mass. Herr Drosselmeyer (LE) Pipe smoke, sweet leather, woods and linen. I think my Liz needs to age. It's not really "vanilla" -- it's "vanilla floral perfume" and a little too on the floral side and not enough on the heavy vanilla side to my nose. I have more I could tease you with but most are DC or really really hard to find LE.

Aw, thanks guys!! I haven't been as quick to take photos lately because it really hurts my back (car accident in July effects are still lingering) so a lot of the photos are crooked or not quite in focus because I'm just trying to hurry and get through them so my back won't hurt anymore. bleah. I added the Anniversary/Resurrecteds, a couple more GC's, Whirling Wind Moon, and Blue Moon 2009: Beth's Creation.

I'm sure everyone has already seen them but I finally updated my flickr with everything since the Halloweenies. And then I updated the bpal fiends pool on flickr... so unfortunately those are out of order because I started with the yules/inquisitions and then went backwards through my photos adding things that I had forgotten (which appeared to be a lot!) The District Yule 2009 Inquisition Krampusumzuge, Atmospheric Linen and Room Spray I also added a ton of GC's and some Arcana, those are in "General Catalog" and "Other Perfumes" or you can just browse my photostream. (warning, photostream includes photos of yarn and dogs. and various other things depending on the time of year.)

I've been using ScentBase to keep track of my perfume. I'll have to take a look at perfoom too! (I have way too much fun keeping track of things. I use spreadsheets too. And google docs. I think I have way too much free time on my hands at night.)

I believe mine is 2007. http://www.flickr.com/photos/miss_twilight/2780182998/

Did you ever figure out what it was? How spicy did it smell? My guess would have been Saw Scaled Viper. (cinnamon, cassia, and ginger.) I'll have to go home and see what I have that is red.
