Very earthy with a bit of green! Smells like the earth of a garden. The vetiver is a bit too much for me...
-
Wow this is spicy! Cinnamon and incense? A very dusty spice with a hint of sweet. I can't really smell any of the fruit. This reminds me of something, but for the life of me I can't think of what it is. Not really for me.
-
At first this reminds me of a tart bell pepper. Maybe a hint of green grass? Strange. Not for me.
-
Hmmmm, this smells quite medicinal with a hint of mint. Herbal and bitter green. Definitely not for me. Ouch! -ETA- Wow, this becomes total licorice. Eep.
-
On the skin: Mint. I can definitely smell lavender as well. Not sure if I can smell any of the other notes.
-
On the skin: Hmmmm, I was hoping for more spice, but instead this is quite herbal. A very green herbal. Definitely not for me.
-
On the skin: Patchouli. Hmmmm, not sure if I can smell anything else. Maybe a bit of leather. Not bad. I don't normally like such earthy scents, but this one is already kind of growing on me. Might be a keeper.... Will definitely have to try again.

Definitely smell the sherry wine as well as the pineapple. Quite syrupy. Very sweet with a good helping of booze. After a bit, the booze fades a bit and I can mostly just smell the pineapple syrup. I don't think I can ever smell any of the other notes. Not bad, but not for me.

On the skin: Golden amber and a hint of green that must be the sage. I feel like I have smelled this before.... Not bad, but not for me.
-
On the skin: Nice honey, something slightly sharp, and a little bit of powder. Honey is a hit or miss note on me, but this honey seems to be playing quite nicely. There is something here that is kind of effervescent and makes me feel like I need to sneeze. This is a nice honey scent, but there is something here that doesn't agree with me.

On the skin: Wow. This does not smell like the black musk I am used to. Very dark and slightly earthy? I feel like there is some vetiver here... Very earthy. Definitely not for me. Quite a dark blend.

On the skin: plum, slight floral, and a slight herbal scent that might be bergamot? I agree that this smells very traditional. Interesting, but definitely not for me.

Stimulating Sassafras Strengthener
ami226 replied to flyingpizza's topic in Doc Constantine's Pharmacopoeia
So, I had to test this one after having tried the Anti-saloon League. Compared to the Anti-saloon League, the sassafras in this blend does not fade like the Anti-saloon league. It is quite similar though! Just less of the vanilla and this sassafras is a bit smoother in my opinion. Pretty good. This one is actually quite good and I almost can't decide which I like better. -
The notes for this blend look pretty good... The only thing is amber can be kinda hit or miss... On the skin: Coconut? Smells very... tropical. After a bit, it smells more like a tropical floral with a powderiness that I suspect is the amber. This kind of reminds me of The Girl. They just both have a similar feel to me. This smells quite better on the dry-down than it did in the bottle. Might be a keeper....

On the skin: Oooh! Spicy with a sweetness that must be plum. Sadly the plum reminds me slightly of children's chewable medicine (grape flavor?) with a spiciness. Very interesting. I was hoping for a little less plum since it normally turns a bit wrong on me and sadly this scent is no exception. Ah, well. I will just keep going to Hod for my carnations!

On the skin: an amber floral with a hint of fruit? Not bad! This is very much a summer blend and it is quite difficult to pick out separate notes. Everything blends together so well! It is very interesting, but not my kind of thing.

Hey, Wwindy! Here are pictures of the different oil colors of the imps I described. Haven't changed at all since I posted... -ETA- Forgot to mention that both are imps of Hermia...

Oooh! A beautiful sweet floral! I believe I can definitely smell the plum blossom which I think turns bubblegum-ish on me. This scent smells slightly like bubblegum with hints of a creamy sandalwood amber base. Very oriental. Not really my thing, but it smells quite good!! -ETA- Wow! This has an amazing throw and has lasted quite a bit. Still slightly bubblegum-ish. Sadly the SO doesn't like this one.

On the skin: A slightly sweet scent with a bit of an aquatic note. Is there a slight hint of vetiver in here? Huh, I don't like this one as much as I was hoping to. After a bit, it loses the aquatic edge and it starts to smell pretty good! A bit more musky and slightly powdery which must be the amber. I am liking the dry down a lot more than when it was applied wet, but I am not sure if this one is a keeper. I will have to try this layered with Sara Pezzini.

Oh, Marquis! You can come visit me anytime! This blend is amazing!! In feel/mood, this reminds me of Osiris v4, but when sniffing them together, they don't smell too alike. The Marquis is an amazingly sweet/deep blend. It is so heavenly! This doesn't smell like a boozy scent to me, and all the notes blend together so well that I am not sure if I can actually pick any one out. I think of the Neverwhere scents, the Marquis is definitely one of my favorites.

On the skin: Oooh! A Root Beer Float! Smells tasty!! This one smells so yummy! Doesn't really change much as time goes on. It just keeps on smelling like a yummy root beer float! I want one now. -ETA- Okay, I am not sure how it is possible, but this scent has become even yummier! The cream just keeps sticking around making this scent so yummy! The sarsaparilla gets a bit... spicier, but the cream complements it perfectly! It really is quite amazing! This is also amazing because with the exception of Glowing Vulva, cream and milk notes go quite sour on me. -ETA2- This scent is still going strong! It has gotten even creamier and doesn't really remind me of a Root beer float anymore. It is just an indescribable, creamy, sweet, lovely, and yummy scent! *swoon* -ETA3- Okay, I got the SO to sniff this one and he rated it at a 10. He NEVER rates anything above an 8!! This one is a keeper!

Huh, this smells kinda like... old cigarettes with a sickly sweet cherry booze. Eeep! It doesn't smell so good on me and is actually making me feel a bit sick. -ETA- I had to go try and wash it off. There is something in this scent that just made me feel really nauseous. *sigh* Haven't had that reaction from a scent in awhile.

Definitely some effervescent gin in here! And juniper!! Doesn't have too much throw on me, but it isn't bad! Okay, after a bit the juniper takes over. I love the juniper taste/smell of gin, but instead this is becoming full on juniper bush! I think I can also smell a tiny bit of clove, but this is mostly just a smooth juniper. Not much of a bite. I think I would definitely love to have this one as a drink, but as a scent it isn't for me!

This was the scent I was most looking forward to! On my skin: This makes me think that red amber is the amazing note that I love in Wild Men of Jezirat al Tennyn. It is there under what I am guessing is the jasmine that is turning into a very nice soap scent. I hate to say it, but this reminds me of nice hotel soap. This isn't a bad thing though, I actually really like that smell. Reminds me of vacation. This scent is interesting though. With my nose close to the skin, I get only the nice soap note. If I hold my hand further away and let the scent waft to me, I get more of the amazing red amber with some sweetness. I wonder how this one will age....

In the bottle: A green scent. Very green with a slight hint of earth? Kinda reminds me of walking through a wet forest (no evergreen trees though). I think this leans towards the masculine. Not bad, but not my favorite kind of scent.
