I can't believe I never reviewed this one. How is this possible?? I received a decant of this scent around a year and a half ago when I was just starting to get really involved in BPAL. When I first smelled it, I didn't really think anything of it. It was spicy, but sort of meh. Well, that all changed when I swiped some on the SO. On him it is pure sexy goodness. A deep spice with a hint of sweetness. I have no idea what it is about this scent, but it is truely amazing. I didn't start wearing this myself until last Christmas. The SO and I go visit our separate families for Christmas, so I put a bit of Wild Men on my skin to comfort me and remind me of him. On me, this scent doesn't turn quite as sweet as it does on him. I definitely get more of the spice which isn't a bad thing. In all, this will probably always be one of my top favorites. I will always have to keep two bottles around. One for the SO and one for me! :love!:

A pleasant blueberry scent. A sweeter blueberry. Not too tart. Perfect for someone who likes blueberries. Not for me though.

A golden, nice rose. One of the best BPAL roses I have smelled! No hint of green and this isn't overpoweringly strong. Very pleasant!

Huh. Slight aquatic with a little spice. The aquatic is a bit... clean. It is quite golden and not too bad.

Rose. A lovely rose. Maybe with something else a bit soapy. Not for me.

A spiced apple and almond. Eeep. I really can't stand the smell of almonds....

A powdery honey with a hint of herbs. Weird on me.... It is a strange sharp powder.

Definite vanilla. It is threatening to go plastic on me, but it doesn't completely. It definitely reminds me of Midway, but Midway never does this slight plastic on my skin. Huh, not for me.

Whoa! Lemon and grapefruit. Not bad! It doesn't really change much. It is a slightly sweet lemon and grapefruit that is kinda good, but I don't see myself wearing it too often.

… His ofrenda is the scent of the lightless deep: the glorious, unknowable gloom of the ocean floor. A sweet aquatic that makes me feel kinda sick....

Whoa! Loads of earthy patchouli! This is all patchouli and nothing else...

Hmmm, the mint is quite understated. A grassy mint. I like this mint blend better than others I have tried, but it is not for me.

Loads of musk with some metal. Could be good on the right man.

Geranium and leaves? I think? A very green scent.

Ozone and white florals. Not bad, but not my thing at all.

Whoa! This smells like the Golden Delicious apples! Very sweet! Eep, after a bit I can smell something sour. Noooo! This blend was so pleasant!

Whoa! That is honey! And some apple? Quite sweet with a bit of tart as well. After just a little bit, it quite reminds me of sweet tarts. Quite strange.

Huh, well I can't actually smell any vetiver in this one. It is actually mostly rose... Huh, after a bit on my skin I can smell some vetiver. It actually isn't bad. Just a slightly earthy musky rose. Not one of my favorites though.

I believe Dance of Death has the same strong black musk as Black Temple Burlesque Troupe. Just need to add a bit of cocoa from another scent...

I get orange and something herbally.... Is the mango going strange on me? It is very green.... Huh.

Quite strong on the florals and aquatic. It isn't too bad, but for some odd reason there is something in this scent that makes me feel kinda nauseous. *sigh*

Reminds me a bit of Plastic Pink Flamingo. A very pink and creamy scent. The pink part of the scent gets a bit stronger as the scent dries. Not bad, but not my thing...

Nice incense!! Sweet and not too strong! Maybe with a hint of sassafras? Maybe a hint of vanilla sweetness? Quite nice!! I am thinking that this one is a keeper!! -ETA- I have decided to give this one a new home. It is nice, but I don't see myself wearing it often. It should go to someone who will love and cherish it and name it George!! -ETA2- I somehow ended up with a bottle of this again. Sadly I think I need to retract my first review and instead insert this one: Soapy vanilla sandalwood. This starts out as a light incensey type scent, but morphs to a sweet soapy sandalwood. I don't usually like things I would describe as soapy, but this is actually pretty awesome. I would love to smell this good stepping out of the shower! I think I am going to actually end up keeping this one!

Woodsy with a hint of leather. Not bad! Maybe a bit of a dust note as well? Definitely a nice manly blend. Quite understated. I think I am going to try slathering this on the SO and see how it is on him...

I love this thread!! I have read through it a few times now, but always felt a little silly posting here. I have been with the SO for more than 4 years now and I am certain that someday we will get married.... We just don't have any plans set in stone for the future. *sigh* Someday. I have been considering what I would wear and unless my skin chemistry changes, I have narrowed the list down to: Antique Lace Black Orchid Love's Philosophy Hod XCDL13-Sadly, the SO doesn't like this one too much... Unveiled added Glowing Vulva-this one starts off kinda weird on my skin, but after a bit it really begins to waft wonderfully. The SO and I both love it.... I have always envisioned an outdoor wedding with a nice white dress, so I am not sure if one scent would just lend itself to the mood/moment better than another. I love all the scents listed above, but the SO doesn't really like Black Orchid.... might influence the decision? And for the reception/wedding night: Womb Furie (Hee hee!) Snake Oil Cthulhu in Love Glowing Vulva (Hee hee!!) Hod The SO is definitely going to wear The Wild Men of Jezirat al Tennyn. It just smells amazingly swoon worthy on him! Also, I love the idea of using imps as favors. If I ever set down a theme, I am so purchasing bunches of imps following the theme for bridesmaids at least... Not sure if having imps on the tables though would be a good idea. I have too many younger cousins that might get into trouble with those kinds of things. I always kinda wanted to get those personalized M&M's for the tables at the reception. Hee hee!!
