The Dark Side of Fire: cinnamon, bitter almond, and neroli. Heavily spiced, torrid, and possibly conflagrant. yummmm in the imp: cinnamon and almonds wet: cinnamon and almonds dry : cinnamon this turned my neck red red red...i have a feeling wearing cinnamon there isn't a good idea, but it did smell quite lovely and i did get quite a few compliments while out at the club (which is called inferno as well - it was my joke for the night, wearing inferno to go dancing at inferno ha! ok i'm lame sometimes) i had to wash the scent off my neck and leave cold towels to help the red blotching go down. thankfully i caught it in time and it didn 't stay red the whole night. i think this scent is more for a scent locket.

in the imp : almonds and a slight touch of cinnamon wet: smells like almonds, sour almonds... slightly dry, it's reminding me black phoenix i really loved this scent in the imp. i wish the bitter almond scent wouldn't turn sour on me
-
in the imp: it smells really sweet and i can really smell the carnations. i'm not sure if the sweet scent is from the sweet peaor water lily. unfortunately, i'm not the biggest fan of carnations and it's not screaming test me!
-
in the imp: this smells very wet and is a very masculine scent, not sure i would even want to venture into testing it as it's really not grabbing me while it's in the imp. it reminds me of ocean water and men's cologne
-
i really liked this scent in the imp...when i put it on it instantly turned into a plastic band-aid smell. i did try it again a couple months later, and it's still smelling like band-aids.
-
wet: wow, very strong and goes on a bit too perfumey for my taste. dry: the scent mellows out a bit and now i feel like i'm smelling the color red. i can definitely smell the wine and dragon's blood i'm just not sure i could wear this all the time...it starts to get a woody scent after an hour or so and then completely fades away.

i think the first time i tried this, i was a bit under the weather. all i could smell were the cherries and nothing else. i wonder why i amp up fruity scents when i'm sick...i eventually decided i really didn't like it. i'm glad i retried this imp before just giving up. 2nd time around: i can smell dragon's blood and a small bit of cherry and a wee amount of clove. wet: mostly cherry & dragon's blood. dry: OMG! beautiful i did try it a 3rd time a month later and wow, once this scent has a chance to age, it's beautiful. the cherry note is more tame and the clove pops out a bit more and the dragon's blood is the main star in the scent. i decided i had to have a bottle...it's great once it ages.

hmm... in the imp : very very woodsy, pine and woods. i don't think i can try this. usually woodsy scents turn into mr. clean on me. i'm picking up a couple of floral notes.. still not wanting to attempt to try. too woodsy.

i'm not a real huge mint fan...but i'll give it a whirl. in the imp: sugary mint wet : WOW HOLY MINT!!!! dry : lots and lots of mint. not the fake mint either... it's starting to give me a headache and remind me a bit of plastic band aids
-
in the imp, floral and sweet. i can definitely smell the grapefruit and the plum is making it too sweet. unfortunately it started giving me a headache, so i won't be trying this as it seems to be a sweet floral to me.
-
wow, i opened this and it does smell crisp and ocean misty and reminds me of men's cologne, and maybe a glade air freshner. this isn't going to work for me.
-
it goes on powdery, then i can smell some cinnamon, its very light and i was hoping it would pack more of a punch. it's giving me a sweet smell that i can't place and i'm not sure i actually like it - mostly it's a little boring.
-
more coconut than i would like. the patchouli is amping and reminding me of umbra which has that dirty hippie stench. i was hoping the coconut would be more if a back drop, at least its not like the sun tan oil.

in the imp : dragon's blood wet: dragon's blood and a smidge of sandal wood 20-30 minutes later : where'd the dragon's blood go? now its just sandalwood 50-60 mionutes later : oh dear. i appear to be turning this into baby powder...still no dragon's blood and the entire scent is already fading away. *sigh* i was hoping to like this one a lot and i'm a bit disappointed by it.

in the imp: ewwww banana..there's no green scent there are florals in here and ba-na-na (sorry, katamari reference) um, not really a fan of fruity florals, and i don't think i want to smell like a sweet, floral banana...so off to the frimp pile with this. ETA: it also kinda smells like this medicine i'm giving my cat right now...that sickly sweet artificial banana scent...

wet & in imp : patchouli dry : patchouli & cedarwood, small bit of what i think vetiver smells like 20-30 minutes later : still patchouli & cedarwood 40 minutes later : patchouli, cedarwood and body odor? ugg. this is the scent of smelly hippies. there is no cinnamon popping out at all and i really loved this scent wet & upon first dry down and the cedarwood is popping out more making me think of gerbil bedding. *sigh* i love patchouli scents and i wish it were more patchouli & cinnamon. oh well...i can't like every patchouli scent..

Golden amber, hyssop, North African patchouli, and embalming spices. in the bottle: amber and spice wet: strong spices and amber dry: amber and cinnamon are popping out hours later: still cinnamon and spice, small bits of amber and light breezes of patchouli. i absolutely love this scent. it has great staying power, i put it on around 7 am and it's now 3pm and it's still there. i have a feeling its mostly in my shirt at this point, but even my wrist still smells lightly of amber and spices. i wonder if this ages if the patchouli comes out to play more. i have to pick up a bottle, plus it benefits a great cause and i love neil gaiman

i just got my 2008 bottle and decided to test it... smells pretty and musky in the bottle wet and 20 minutes into dry down: musk and grapes? co-worker: "it smells like fruit over here" another 5 minutes, it appears the grape smell is dying down a bit and i'm getting the sweet musky scent everyone else is mentioning. i'm certainly curious to hold on to this and see how it ages.

the description for this scent is spot on. i honestly thought i would like it more than rose red, but sadly, i don't. it still has that powerful rose scent that i love, but rose red wins hands down fo rthe best rose scent. ETA: wet: lovely lovely roses. dry: roses after 30 minutes: roses 60 minutes later: faint small of roses 2 hours later: WHERE DID IT GO???? ouch that's sharp smelling whatever is left... i slathered this - slathered every where...the scent pad in my locket was soaked. very soaked...the parts on my wrists, between the bewbies, and on my neck is GONE... this has terrible staying power and i had to reapply 3 times during the day. i guess my skin eats this. i could barely smell the scent locket even though it was soaked....*sigh* rose red seems to be vastly superior in staying power and throw.

i have fallen in love. i adore this rose scent much more than the peacock queen. it reminds me walking into a garden or a store that has just cut a bunch of roses. will need more than one bottle for sure!
-
this one went terribly wrong from first application. i think jasmine and ylang ylang together on my skin don't agree. it becomes very floral and stinky. the cardamom added some spice which reminded me of cinnamon. sadly i will have to pass this up.

... Her ofrenda is thick with honey and herbs of love, passion and desire. another one that smelled great not on me. wet it was sweet and honey and herb like, then dry down the honey just got too sweet and it started to smell more woodsy.
-
it smelled lovely in the imp... the white pine and juniper were amped up on my skin and i couldn't smell any of the more delicate notes
-
this smelled ok in the imp... put it on and it was very woodsy. dry down and we had pine cleaner with musk.
-
i was hoping i would like this. i imagined it would be like finding an old floral perfumed fabric from ages ago... on me, i started sneezing and turned it to a floral mess as usual.
