wow, this smells like it should be purple, or "creeping death" as my boy called it. "creeping death" was a purple drink he tasted from an SCA party... yes, i'm well aware there aren't any purple fruits except maybe the plum. wet and in the imp: fruity! purple! dry: still purple (especially when you put a small amount in your hair to go out to the bar) and fruity and a little pepper comes out. hours later: still purple & fruity. i get small amounts of patchouli, gardenia, and rose. i was happy to get a bottle and can't wait to see how this ages. i absolutely love this scent and i'm not one for fruity things.

i sniffed this in the imp, and decided i couldn't try it out on the skin. i didn't smell any dragon's blood and mostly it was herbal and ambergris. no florals just herbal ambergris.

this reminded me of almonds, but then it morphed and it was sandalwood and coconut and something powdery. after it was on for a few hours the scent started to fade and by the end of the work day, it wasn't even there. i was quite sure what to expect, so brown jenkins didn't really impress me.

i can really smell the lavendar in this. i've been using baku for the last week and have noticed i've been dreaming a lot more. they've just been really strange dreams and i've had to wake up to get out of them. i might have to switch back to somnus for a bit to get some deeper sleep.

wet: honey and almonds...very sweet. dry: interesting, the fig, myrrh and lily of the valley are popping out. hours later, hrm, not sure this scent is for me.it's ok, but nothing is grabbing me and by the end of my 8 hour work day, the scent is gone and all thats left is a baby powder residue.

at first all i smell is lemon verbena, then once that fades about a few hours later, this scent turns into something light, sweet and almost innocent. the boy really liked it. through out the day i would get wiffs of orange blossom and honeysuckle. i fought to keep this from turning into band-aid smell as i do most lemon verbena and orange blossom scents. i honestly felt really happy when i first applied this scent and i do have to admit i need a bottle.

Love an Aveda scent or shampoo, looking for a BPAL that's similar?

i think scherezade smells a lot like aveda shampoos and conditiones and even some of the sylting products. when i wore scherezade for the first time, i put some in my hair because i was going out to the club and it gets super smokey! the only way i can smell anything other than ciggerette smoke is by putting bpal in my locket or hair and if you put it in your hair it really gets amped up! anyways, the comment from that night of scherezade was that i smelled like aveda. -
in the bottle: roses and soft florals and a touch of plum. wet: very much rose and nothing else. dry: still rose, but vanilla and rose. 30 minutes later, the rose has faded quite a bit and now i'm getting the plum, iris, and peony and it's a bit smokey.

in the imp: creamy cocoa and vanilla. wet: more cocoa and sweet cherries and vanilla. dry: cocoa and cardamom vanilla and sticky sweet carmel. i think this is just too sweet for me and it's giving me a slight headache

in the imp, i can smell the jasmine, and something sweet, then i can smell the jasmine turning into this weird smell that doesn't agree with me. i don't think i like this enough to try it - i keep smelling it and it smells more and more like candied jasmine.
-
it smells ok in the imp, however when i put it on it changes into something i just can't describe. i'm not sure what's creting the smell i don't like, but i had to wash it off right away...i wish i couldfigure out what in anubis i don't like.

crisp and clean. a bit musky when first applied. after dry down, i can smell tea and it's slightly sweet from the vanilla. i might have to try this one again since i'm not sure what's giving me the cleaning supply smell. over all i really love this when it's wet..and it's light enough that it would be perfect for summer
-
delicious! i loved this one upon first application. its not overly sweet and wow, i'm in love. dragon's blood and vanilla - who would have thought these would go together.
-
i 'm not sure what i was expecting, i guess i thought the dragon's blood would stay around a bit longer and the musks would take a back seat. after dry down, all i get is musk...dragon's blood has disappeared. it does get a slight baby powder smell to it. maybe i'll try this one again after it sits for a bit.

vanilla and amber...it's certainly sweet, but not quite as sweet as O, i think i prefer lyonesse more than O because it doesn't get sickly sweet. i can smell the florals very lightly and the ambergris isn't over powering. sea moss is bearly there. it's a very delicate scent perfect for summer.
-
the patchouli and myrrh pop out first and the florals come out only slightly. the musk makes itself known and its such a glorious smell - everything is balanced. its going to go on my next bottle order.
-
omg! this scent is to die for! i put it on, went to the club and got lots of compliments! its such a complex scent and it reminds me of aveda...i loved this in the imp so much i ordered two bottles right away.

wow this is certainly a man's scent. it really smells like men's cologne, but i don't think i want to sniff it on my man, it reminds me too much of something store bought.
-
i love this scent, i kept smelling small batches of cinnamon throughout the day, when it fades, it's myrrh and smoke. the cinnamon completely disappears after a while and thankfully it doesn't turn my skin red and blotchy like inferno.
-
i only sniffed this in the imp because the scent didn't catch me. it smelled very herbal and dusty, it also had a faint scent of band-aids...
-
in the imp: choco & vanilla! wet : sweet sandalwoody choco! dry: still mostly chocolate and hey, i think some sandalwood is popping out and maybe the myrrh. later; still chocolate with some spice to it. i think i kinda like it, might have to give it another spin
-
in the imp: spicey and sweet wet: interesting, it's sweet, slightly floral, spicey and hmm...want to lick my wrist dry: wow, i really like this scent, it's different enough and its delicious. i think i'm mostly smelling the olive blossom and then i get some of the spice notes and yum...

in the imp: roses clove patchouli and a small dash of cedar wet: this is just lovely, a nice light rose scent with cloves, patchouli and sandalwood. i'm glad the cedar isn't getting amped up. dry: can't stop smelling wrist. it's delicious...everything is balanced. i'm certainly curious how this will age. still pondering if i should get one more bottle?
-
in the imp, sweet and minty. i get lots of violet and mint, a little eucalyptus pops out... not worth trying on the skin as it's not working for me in the imp.

in the imp: this reminded me of jelly! it's a super sweet scent that i just can't bring myself to try wearing. it's almost too sickly sweet. i don't think i ever got any inkling there was neroli in this, all i could smell were red currant & huckleberry.
