in the bottle: a sandalwood note that must be the ironwood bark, and some lemon. wet on skin: sweet lemon, like lemonade. dry down: i'm getting the wood, the lemon and a bit of musk. sadly, i can't pick up on any coconut in this mix. in all: glad i have a bottle for sure, and i guess i can always mix in a little upa upa if i want to amp up the coconut!

in the bottle: oh. my. GODDESS. this is pina-colada fantasy come true! pineapple! coconut! creamy yumminess! YES!!! wet on skin: the pineapple pulls back, but the coconut is front and center. the spice rum is coming out to play. this is SO totally delicious. dry down: the pineapple is back, but more subtle than before. the notes are more mixed, giving it a uniform 'tropical' feel. in all: perfect. totally in my top 10 starting right now! :D

in the bottle: heavy cream and caramel-drenched citrus. this is Cheshire Moon's sexy cousin all grown up! wet on skin: the ginger is gorgeous, turning this blend into a ginger ice cream milkshake dry down: the ginger has emerged more and more, but it's also got a citrus tang to it. not much, but enough. in all: i stick by my original assessment: if you like Cheshire Moon for daytime use, Opuhi is PERFECT for late that same night!

in the imp: dragon's blood with a floral mix and something that is making me gag under it wet on skin: dragon's blood and coconut! it's like DB goes to the beach dry down: dragon's blood with daffodils. in all: i'm picky about my DB mixes. Dragon's Milk is still the one for me. however, if you like floral notes, you'll likely love this blend.

in the imp: spicy sunshine! i really can't describe it any better than that! wet on skin: spicy and floral at the same time. like daffodils and cinnamon. dry down: the above, but more mellow and with a bit of carnation thrown in. in all: not much for florals, but this blend is unusual and will likely excite many a floral and spice fan alike!

in the imp: chocolate covered cherries! wet on skin: chocolate, patchouli, and red fruit in the distance. wow. dry down: it remains the same. in all: unusual, sweet but not *too* foodie, i may need a bottle of this!

in the imp: wet, lightly floral, lightly fruity. a slight melon aroma, and some green foliage. wet on skin: there's that 'bitter' undernote some folks mentioned. it doesn't smell like tea to me, it smells like bitter plants. the type eaten for digestion. dandelion leaf, maybe. dry down: the bitter aspect is mostly gone. now it smells predominantly like ferns, and light, sweet herbs. in all: a lovely spring time 'green' scent for those who sway toward those notes. not much for me, however.

in the imp: vetiver and cedar. wet on skin: same. dry down: mostly woodsey now, with an undercurrent of something citrus. reminds me of being in a forest with sunlight coming through. in all: while not the 'enlightening' blend i was hoping for, fans of wood-based scents should really like this one.

in the imp: industrial cleaner or de-greaser wet on skin: heavy-handed lavender and something that is giving me a headache. very unpleasant. dry down: well, it calmed down a bit, but the combination of the heavy lavender and the cloying carnation make this still less-than-good in all: i don't usually say this but: pass on this. seriously.

in the imp: the sassafras is so strong it becomes medicinal. wet on skin: it's become more like root beer. interesting! i'm not picking out any other notes at this time though. dry down: wow. it's really just like root beer. in all: i don't get anything other than the sassafras from this blend, and that's too bad. it sounded like it had the potential to be a very heady, sexy blend. ah well.

in the imp: spicy, orangey candy. candy for an adult pallet. wet on skin: citrus and caramel and lots of clove. dry down: mostly clove and orange, with a hint of sugar cane tossed in. in all: i could see this being popular around the holidays, or with younger goths. i'm not into so much citrus personally, though. :shrug:

The scent of the salty seas, bittersweet wine, palm and tropical ferns. in the imp: very 'green', very fresh: like new-mown grass and cucumbers. wet on skin: grass has faded a bit. now it's more like a cucumber salad. dry down: the grass has returned. in all: this is similar to many mainstream 'grass' scents i've encountered, so it might be good for enabling purposes. for me, it's nothing special, however.

Nobility and haughtiness befitting the Antichrist: sage, carnation and cedar with lavender, vanilla, white musk and leather. in the imp: a light, citrus-driven men's 'cologne' sort of smell. reminds me faintly of Black Lace in it's men-association. wet on skin: the citrus sweetens up just a pinch. dry down: the leather and vanilla and carnation have all taken over making this blend smell *exactly* like the original formulation of the Body Shop's sandalwood oil :swoon: in all: a beautiful all-gender fragrance, date-worthy in all the best ways!

in the bottle: mostly smoky vetiver, a hint of some green plant matter under it. wet on skin: much the same, with a tiny bit more green leaf thrown in dry down: total, TOTAL shift. the vetiver is gone, the green is gone and it's become sulphurous wet rock. really, it smells like being in a natural hot spring. in all: i bought this for my boyfriend and my kid, but now i'm rather sorry i got none for myself

in the bottle: Dragon's Blood, with a slight dark edge. wet on skin: same. dry down: interesting. the leather doesn't seem to be coming out on me at ALL. in all: on me, the leather was just eaten up. on my boyfriend, the leather is very strong. so, maybe it's something having to do with hormones? whatever it is, i've got plenty of DB blends that are superior on me to this one. if you're lucky enough to like leather, and if it mps on you, then give this a try. as for me, i'm content to sniff it on my BF.

in the bottle: i get what people are saying about the medicinal aspect. strange. it's totally like liniment or something. wet on skin: wow. this is unsettling. it reminds me of Tiger Balm, actually. is it the red musk? it's strong, but it's not unpleasant. just...strange. dry down: holy MOLY has this changed! that red musk is sensual, the fruit is rich like a piece so ripe it's about to go bad and there's a vanilla note that is so dark and sexy it makes my mind boggle. in all: yes, i WILL be getting a few more bottles before this carnival leaves town.

in the bottle: sweet and lemony, and something that reminds me of melon! wet on skin: sweet lemonade, cotton candy, and soft sweet flowers. dry down: ok, the vanilla is peeking out just a tiny bit and something sweet is mixing in, i think it might be the coconut, but not the rich coconut of Eden. this is much more subtle. in all: a breezy, sweet summer scent, this would have gone well in the Tiki Lounge! luckily, it's around a while longer than those were, so get it while you can!

in the bottle: sweet holiday spice, like mulled cider or mulled wine, without the liquid components. wet on skin: the sweet spiciness is going up a notch. there's also a vague nuttiness, a touch of hazelnut that seems to be coming through. it's yummy for sure. dry down: pretty consistent. it reminds me also of mincemeat, that holiday pie filling of goodness. nom nom nom in all: this is so indicative of holiday time, i don't think i could wear it now, in the late spring. but i will certainly break it out the first chilly day we have this fall!

in the imp: like grape candy. wet on skin: same! dry down: average throw, sweet and dark, this is goth candy in a nutshell. it's playful but has a serious element too. in all: for the goth in your life, this is a good one.

in the imp: fresh tilled earth in a garden. wet on skin: there's something edible in here, though i can't put my finger on it. but overall, it's a fabulous, rich evocative scent. dry down: there's a touch of leather in here, but for a change, it's not bothering me. the rose is not really rose. it *is* rosewood- this is a woodsie, earthy scent, full of mystery and grounding. in all: a good one for those of you looking for a more unusual wood scent.

in the imp: like sweet rich fruits: dates, figs, all slathered in honey wet on skin: the wine is coming out now, and this has shifted into a mead scent as a result. delicious! dry down: oh YUM! it's become deep red wine, honey and raisins all fermented together for weeks and served on a fanciful first harvest holiday. in all: a must have. it's as simple as that.

in the imp: violet, eucalyptus, mint. in that order. wet on skin: the violet and eucalyptus are battling for first place, the mint takes a back seat and the neroli-thankfully-is nowhere to be found. dry down: oh YEAH! this reminds me of my favorite violet gum (C.Howard's. Get Some!) it's all soft violet and sweet mint. the eucalyptus is still there, but it's calmed down a LOT. in all: a fabulous violet scent. i love violet, it's one of my favorites. when it goes wrong, it becomes soapy and horrible. this doesn't. this is more like a bouquet of violets and mint. sweet, but not sugared like Faith. beautiful. i'll be getting 5ml a.s.a.p.!

in the imp: all the rich smokiness of vetiver. wet on skin: still heavy on the vetiver. it takes a LOT for vetiver to get calm on my skin. dry down: all vetiver, possibly a hint of leather, but nothing more. in all: if you adore vetiver as a note, this is a winner for you. if, like me, it just amps impossibly on your skin, you will likely wanna skip this one.

in the imp: heady, like sweet rose incense wet on skin: it's changing into rose candy. this is the gardenia interacting with my skin chemistry. dry down: weird. it changed *back* to the rose incense thing. :shrug: in all: a beautiful, rich rose, like dried roses in a small room where the windows don't open: heady, powerful, and not what you expect. nicely done.

in the imp: yep. green grass. wet on skin: green grass that has been watered with sea water. dry down: same. in all: well, as far as a vampiric scent goes, i'm afraid it falls short but! if you like green grassy scents, this is a total keeper.
