I get a vetiver note from this and something boozy, with hints of baked goods and wood. I sprayed it lightly in my bathroom because that's the smallest room in my place, and it smelled like that space had absolutely hosted travelers and they had gotten into quite a bit of fun.

This was a big surprise to me and not in a good way.... I was secretly hoping a Come to Me oil from BPAL might smell of red musk or honey or coconut, or something hypnotic and sexy. There's virtually NO way a man would Come to Me wearing this unless (like a member mentioned earlier) he had a secret fetish for the smell of laundry soap and plug-ins. On the effective front, my crush actually called me by my first name today and walked away quickly (usually he smiles like he might stumble over his own feet, looks longer than he needs to, and asks me how my day is going) I guess he was NOT smitten by the smell of clean cotton

This is a beautiful oil that works AMAZINGLY well. I've been going through a lot of changes in my personal life and am feeling rather fragile and not protected. I apply to my chakra points with special attention to my root chakra (basically the base of my spine) and then drive in to work. It usually takes about 40 minutes for the oil to fully sink in but it's pretty great when it does, I can tell immediately. It's not as if I have more courage or feel extra strength, it's as if all the extra chatter in my head, the nervous chatter, is silenced and although it doesn't take anything away, it numbs the parts of my life that seem extra painful and I don't focus as much of my attention to them. I wonder if there is valerian root in this blend mainly because of the calming influence. The scent, by the way, is AMAZING! It's the prettiest oil I have ever smelled... Like warm bundled hay bordering on a field of honeyed flowers that scent the air with enchanted fairy dust. The floral smell is less flowers and more softness, like vanilla orchids that dry down to a vanilla powder. Enchanting, really. I agree that this is a FANTASTIC oil for anxiety / depression and although I don't notice it giving me any more strength (Lionheart was a complete bust for me and I noticed nothing when I used it) Crucible of Courage helps me feel less exposed, less fragile, and less emotionally responsive.

I actually like a good white blossom perfume but not this one. This is BIG fat ORCHID stomping ALL over everything else. Don't even sniff this if you can't stand flowers. Just sayin'.

I totally agree with the old-fashioned vibe! I am actually really surprised by this, I thought I would dislike it because of the association of the "lead" note and the honey--which honestly never smells sexy on me. This perfume though... WOW! Makes me think of putting on special pink lace lingerie and special stockings that I usually never wear to work because they are too expensive. The powder note is most noticeable to me but that's okay because I actually love a good powder note. This is so pretty! I'll probably pick up two bottles

I was really surprised by this because I thought it might be more watery or more floral but it was a combination of really strong lemon eucalyptus and bug spray. Not my thing at all.
-
I agree! The lilac lingers around here for a long time! There's a stage to the perfume that actually smelled like freshly- cut spring lilacs. So pretty. The other notes balance everything.

This is practically a pear single note on me. It smells like really, really expensive pears, the ones that come in a special box because they're like $35 for six. Expensive pears and a hint of "perfume". I like this!

Yep, me too! Rosewater and honey with a hint of almond. Patchouli made no appearence This isn't very interesting or memorable. Off to the swaps pile.

I wore Coxcomb on my first date with my now boyfriend and the night ended in kissing! I think the balance of some musk is sexy without being too much. Dia would be a really good choice since you already have it! Most lighter or musk-heavy scents are appealing to most people. Rather than say, pine, or something too smoky. Have a great date :-) Hi, my first thought was Flowering Chrysanthemums. Then I thought maybe I should take a look at what you iso or already own before suggesting it. And what do I see on your old sales page? Your request for Flowering Chrysanthemums! So, maybe you should wear it if you have some. Good luck, relax and enjoy

An aristocratic cologne of titanic passions, moody and brooding. This scent is dark with disillusionment and cynicism: a Victorian fougère and a dashing carnation boutonnière tainted by a cloud of khus, yew, and patchouli. Beautiful fresh and clean carnation at first application. Love this part and then a little wood emerges, I totally agree about the "cloudy" sensation of this blend. Then something happens to remind me why I didn't snag a full bottle of this blend. There is something bitter (yew?) that mingles with the other notes and I get spicy (clove or cinnamon but not carnation) and bitter. Not my thing. Where did that lovely carnation go?

Dryer sheets. Expensive ones but still dryer sheets.

This is one of my favorite Autumn perfumes. There is a nice balance between the apple and nuts and the blend probably lends itself to being just a touch too sweet on dry down but I still love it.

Dark and dirty coconut, basically single note coconut on me. I wanted more amber, vetiver, and floral. Oh, well. If you like coconut don't pass this one up.

Honeyed cherry throat drops with a touch of sweet golden amber.
