Loved this! The citrus and florals worked wonderfully on me, though it did smell a little odd on my skin at first.

I liked this - smelt of citrus in the container, but warmed up on my skin and became more floral. Didn't last very long, though admittedly I was only trying a tiny amount from an imp.

Got to try this yesterday as my sister has an imp. Loved the smell in the container and it worked well on my skin, settling into a nice creamy smell.

Looking for a BPAL that Resembles a Favorite Perfume

Yes it is, isn't it? I was always complimented when I wore it and now it's gone, I really wish I still had some. -
In the bottle: The amber, sandalwood and patchouli hit you first and there is a lovely undertone of cinnamon which follows. Very warm and spicy, with a hint of both smokiness and sweetness. Wet: The cinnamon comes to the front and mingles very nicely with the amber. Dry: The cinnamon fades away eventually and leaves an intriguing mix of spicy, warm scent, with that hint of sweetness still sneaking around in the background. Someone just told me they can really smell the sandalwood. Summary: I totally love this and will definitely buy a bottle. It seems to work very well on my skin at all stages.

In the bottle: Metallic lemon. Smells like toilet bleach! It put me off applying it, but I persevered as I'm learning that BPAL scents can and do change on you. Wet: Less chemical cleaner, more clear lemon/citronella (thank goodness!) and a hint of cinnamon. Dry: Lemon calms down and a smokier note comes through - think this is vetiver - but it's not very strong on me. Summary: Not one I'd buy, but nice to have tried. Not as intense as I expected. Might make an interesting room spray though!

In the bottle: Exotic. Heady mix of woody notes (cypress?), spicy tones and floral. Yet a little too sweet smelling for me at this stage - guess that's the vanilla. Wet: Smoky, woody. The sweetness is pushed to the background, but is still noticeable. Dry: Strong, spicy and woody. No sign of the vanilla, hint of patchouli? A few hours later it was still strongly scented... a little goes a long way. The vanilla never dominated once applied, which is a good thing on me. Summary: I like this a lot and would look to buy a bottle. Might be a bit heady for work-day use. Identifying the woody note is bugging me, it's so familiar and yet I can't recall what it is.

In the bottle: Very sweet vanilla scent. A hint of lemon or something similar, just cutting through the vanilla. Something more floral in there too, which I can't work out. Wet: The vanilla disappears momentarily and floral/lemon scents control. Dry: Vanilla comes back to the foreground and I can't distinguish the other scents clearly anymore. Very sweet smelling. Summary: Didn't go hideous on me, like others have described, but not my kind of scent as it's too sweet. I put a drop on my bed linen though as I thought the vanilla smell was quite comforting; it smells much nicer on there, so I'm thinking of using some in a room spray now.

In the bottle: The individual notes are easily picked out - the lavender is particularly noticeable, but you can pick up the jasmine and honeysuckle too. Wet: Lavender fades away, honeysuckle and jasmine dominate more. Dry: Still getting a hint of the lavender, which comes across as almost a soap-like scent on my skin at times, but it eventually settled into mostly honeysuckle with the jasmine just in the background a couple of hours later. Summary: I would definitely consider buying a bottle of this. For me, this would be a good scent to wear in the office, it's not too heavy or overpowering but doesn't fade away immediately either.

I used to wear Laura Ashley No.1 and this was discontinued a few years back. It's described as follows: "Laura Ashley No. 1 is a magnificent bouquet of white florals blended with fruit. A Romantic & delicate fragrance. Top Notes of Peach, hyacinth, bergamot, gardenia, galbanum. Heart Notes: Narcissus, rose, jasmine, orchid, clove, carnation. Base Notes: Sandalwood, musk, vanilla, cyclamen" If anyone can recommend something like it in the BPAL range, I'd be very grateful.
