Two things: --I love foody scents. Annick Goutal's Eau de Charlotte is one of my all-time faves, and it's reminiscent of Eat Me. --I'm always looking out for scents my daughters (7 and 10) can wear. This is one. Starts out cake, goes to vanilla, ends up currants, then the cake comes back. Delicious. Must get bottle.

Wow, this is one of the weirdest BPAL experiences yet. In the bottle, very minty. Wet on my skin, mint and bourbon. And then my body chemistry starts doing the jitterbug with it and it comes out this intoxicating warm patchouli/amber/bourbon smell that's just...wow. No mint on dry down. When I first smelled it I thought, oh no, I'm going to have to wash it off, the hubby hates patchouli, but he looked and me and said, oh no, don't wash it off. It's very, very hot. So. May have to get a bottle.

This is my least favorite of the Stardust scents I have gotten so far, and if that sounds like a bad review let's just say that so far I have adored all of them and Lady Una is my top-of-the-list squee-inducing perfume. (I still haven't tried Witch Queen, Yvaine and Victoria.) In the bottle I smell the candy first, followed by the incense and lavender. On my skin it dries sweeter, which I didn't expect, and then the grassy note pops up with the incense curling behind it. Love it.

In the bottle: It smelled very sweet, almost too sweet. I really got the blackberry. Wet: Blackberry and honey musk. Dry: Honey musk, vanilla and spice. The blackberry is almost gone. It's intoxicating on me and has vaulted up into the "favorites." Must buy bottle NOW. Wear time: On me, quite good. Several hours later I can still smell it on my wrists.

Be very careful with this stuff. I put some on (love the scent) and went to therapy. boom. big revelation. still shaking.

I cannot review fruitcake as I cannot get it away from my young daughters (10 and 6). They immediately confiscated both it and the Miskatonic University imp (oh, dear). But the whiff I got was ambrosial, and it actually makes a good scent for young girls if you have any in the house and don't want them wearing, oh, I don't know, a perfume with a name like Whip or Vixen.
