this was extremely masculine smelling on me as well. i'm going to set it aside and have my husband try it and see if he likes it. i didn't get any patchouli scent, which disappointed me, 'cause i'm a patchouli lover. i'm getting mostly oakmoss and copal...which isn't bad...it's a nice smell. i just smell liek i'm wearing cologne or have been snuggled under a guy's bedsheets all night (which again, isn't a bad thing!)

i wanted to love this one. it smelled great in the bottle. smelled realy good when i first put it on...smokey and i loved the frankinscence scent. but when it dried on me, it was an overwhelming powerdy smell that ending up giving me a headache=/ no more faustus for me=(

i got this one as a free sample and yesterday figured, what the hell, i'll give this a shot and wear it. when i opened the imp i was a little scared 'cause all i smelled was the woodsyness, the absinthe and the whiskey and i thought i'd smell likei had a rough night all day. but once i put it on and it dried...oh my! i'm loving this one. all the florals came out with the woodsy, absinthey backdrop and it was just a delicious concoction that had be sniffing myself all day long! this is definitely on my list of scents i want a big bottle of!

Looking at the notes I found for it (narcissus, vanilla, rose, jasmine, and orange blossom), depending on if the orange blossom is more prominent or the rose, I would try Hunger (Black narcissus, orange blossoms, and vanilla) or Pride (Moroccan rose and narcissus), or possibly layer the two together. those both sound yummy. thanks!

woodsy and patchouli in the imp. once it's on and dry it's a wonderful, non-overpowering patchouli blended nicely with warm spices. this one smelled great on me and lasted pretty long as well. one of my favorites so far!

this did smell minty in the bottle, but got no trace of that once i put it on my skin. at first it was a crazy concoction of spices i couldn't decipher and then the vanilla and patchouli came out and everything balanced out nicely. loved the way this one smelled on me dry, and a tiny bit lasted all day long.

in the bottle this smelled very sweet to me so i thought i wouldn't like it at all as sweetness was all i could smell. once i put it on my skin there was still an overpowering sweetness to it, but i got some nice earthiness and dirtiness as well. as it dried, a bit of spice of some sort. unfortunately, this one didn't last long on me at all and three hours later i can smell just the slightest sugary sweet trace on my skin.
