I really like this in the imp-it's sort of a fizzy pom scent. I'm thinking this is supposed to be a gin martini, and I don't usually like gin, but the herbalness works well with the pomegranate. I am really enjoying this a lot on my skin! I don't usually do well with pomegranate blends no matter how much I like the idea, but this is just yummy, sweet fizzy pomegranate! Not sugar candy sweet though-muted-almost like herbal pomegranate soda water (if that makes any sense....) Yep, I can totally see myself grabbing a bottle of this-don't have anything like it and it just works so well on my skin!

In the bottle it really reminds me of Beaver'versary with just a subtle touch of SO/Dorian-Don't notice Doc so much. VERY similar to Beaver'versary on my skin. The Dorian comes out quite a bit more as well and a bit of the So spices. There's also a sort of dry/dusty feeling to this-maybe from the Doc Constantine... Honestly, this is just too similar to Beaver'versary for me to feel like I need a bottle. For a while on my skin I got more of the non cupcake/cream cheese note (as well as a dust note), but on drydown it really is just sooo similar to Beaver'versary on my skin. I feel like I can probably recreate this by layering (which is a good idea actually, heheh) to get a better balance for my skin!

Beth frikkin nailed this one-I don't know what else to say-to me it's a straight up scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, with the little bean flecks in it-like the kind you get with apple pie al la mode-that's starting to melt from being next to the warm pie...omgomomnom. Foody vanilla bliss!

Hopefully I will love the perfume as much as I love the claw polish :x In the imp this is a sharp, slightly tangy floral-definitely a little bitter, a little musky. As a scent, it doesn't make me think of bright fuschia pink like the claw polish...more like a pale smoky grey or silver... Oh yes, very musky on my skin. A smoky/musky floral-smells kind of like expensive department store perfume worn by classy older women in Beverly Hills on a night out. A bit dark and sophisticated. I enjoyed this blend quite a bit-it wasn't for me (and ended up fading rather fast into a sweet powdery floral scent), but very sophisticated and sexy in the imp and first applied!

This is sort of a sharp, tangy floral in the imp. I would say the poppy is the strongest, and the opium is definitely present lending a smoky haze to the blend. Yep, pretty similar on my skin-poppy and other tangy florals under a haze of black/grey opium. Not really my thing, but actually better than I thought it would be on my skin-kind of lank and sexy. Unfortunately, that loveliness doesn't last and on full drydown, it went super powdery on my skin for some reason-not sure what note did it, but I just end up with sweet powder ]:

Huh, I was sure I had tested this before, but apparently note...got this as a lab frimp-mad tea party is my favorite gc group so I am looking forward to trying this one! Whoa, this is a sharp pepperminty blast on first sniff from the imp-definitely get the black musk and pennyroyal, a hint of lavender, but not much cologne-that will probably come out more on my skin... Ah, this is much better on my skin, just as I expected! A gorgeous cool, sweet minty scent, darkened by a bit of black musk overlying a refreshing lavender cologne! Not quite as wacky as I would have expected, but that is just fine because this is really lovely-totally a unisex blend-this would be lovely on a gal or a guy. Overall a really great blend-I probably wouldn't pick up a bottle because I have other minty blends I like more (Lick It/Lines Written) but if I could get my boyfriend to wear bpal omg, this would be amazing on him!

Ok-full disclosure here-I can't stannnnd vetiver. It is my least favorite scent ever and I have yet to find a blend with that note in it that I can take. BUT, my goal is to test every GC ever and I got this one as a lab frimp, so in the name of science, I am going to give it a shot! As expected, in the imp this is omg vetiver. That's all I can smell. Ok, maybe a little bit of a colongney scent under that but 95% vetiver. Ok, on my skin it's still pretty much vetiver-rama. I still get a hint of an ozoney/cologne note under the vetiver, but yeah...vetiver!!!! Not much else to say without sounding like a broken record! Like vetiver? Definitely get yourself an imp of this!

Oooof-in the imp this is STRONG heady jasmine. If you are a jasmine hater, I would beware-I like jasmine in certain blends and in certain amounts, but this just might be too much for me! Ohhh, yes, this is a very strong heady floral-the jasmine is the strongest to me, with undertones of the other flowers. It's a bit overwhelming at first-strong scent and throw, but it starts to calm down pretty quickly and mellow out from ZOMGFLOWERS. On my skin the blend didn't last very long and faded rather fast-within a few hours it is almost completely gone actually. Overall, this is a very floral kind of floral blend-I mean really-if you hate florals, this is not one to switch you over to the flower-side. But if you want a rich, heavy, heady floral scent and you really like jasmine, you have to check this out!

Omnomnomnom. If you are a fan of Beth's holiday foody blends (Gingerbread Poppet, Sugar Cookie, etc), then you HAVE to at least get a sniffie of this. It's an amazing mix of traditional and unique-from far away it's mostly soft cinnamon sugar cookies and then up close it's rich clove and cardamom, and you can really smell the pepper nuts. There's also almost like...a fizzy cola-y note. It's hard to describe, but I just love it. The throw on this is not as strong as some of the other foody holiday blends I mentioned above and it also tends to fade a bit faster than other bpals. I probably wouldn't wear this one out, but I absolutely love it on a cold yucky day

This is a darker scent than I would have imagined-almost like ashy patchouli, softened by the orange blossom and sweetened by vanilla. Not really a "me" scent, but sort of interesting. Gah-this is really strong-the narcissus is really intense, and it's not a scent I am particularly fond of. I like the sweet creamy vanilla in this, and I adore orange blossom, but they are hidden under the black narcissus. The drydown of this is actually better than the wet forms-I saw a review comparing this to Snake Charmer, I can see where they'd get that. It's sort of a creamy incensey blend-dries a bit powdery on my skin. Not really something I would wear because the narcissus just doesn't do it for me, but it really goes well with the orange blossom and vanilla. If you are a Snake Charmer fan, definitely give this a sniff!

This is such a unique, gorgeous, unexpected addition to the Yule offerings this year-in a weird way this sort of reminds me of Snow Angel's sexy tropical sister, pink and fruity, but instead of being candy and sugar, this has a tropical flower vibe and the maturity of the frankincense. The yuzu and grapefruit are very noticeable here, so if you don't like either of those notes, steer clear! I am generally not a fan of frankincense (I like how it smells in an atmospheric way but not as perfume), but its in just the right amount here to keep the blend grounded and add depth and maturity. I think this is a perfect February scent-pink but still wintery, sweet and sexy-perfect for Valentine's day!

This was a lab frimp-I probably hadn't yet tried to get a hold of this one because sandalwood (and most woods really) tend to amp on me. But I like the florals listed in this, especially violet and lavender, so I am curious as to how this will be on me. In the imp it's a misty, sweet floral with an undertone of sandalwood. Pretty and subdued. I would say on my skin the gardenia is the strongest-the sandalwood is behaving quite well so far, laying low under the surface of the florals. For lavender haters, don't worry, it's barely noticeable here. As it sits, the sweet violet comes out a lot more. This is a soft, sweet, misty pastel scent. As I mentioned before, I usually overamp woods, but the sandalwood is just perfect here, grounding the blend from being zomg too floral. This dried down less sweet-more of a muted sandalwood blend with a touch of flowers-and it is super rare for me to like a sandalwood blend so much, but this really quite gorgeous. I'm not sure I'm going to run out for a bottle right now, but it just may get added to my list of one days...

Interesting in the imp-a hazy golden scent, the most prominent of the fruits being the pineapple, but this isn't super sugary sweet-the tobacco and amber add that haze to it, and the seltzer gives it a bit of fizz. Whoa, the seltzer and tobacco come out quite a bit more on my skin. Probably a bit too much tobacco for my tastes. Definitely also getting the amber and sun-baked flowers, the golden fruits really kind of get swallowed up-pineapple is barely there and I don't really notice the apricot or tangerine at all. This one seems to morph a lot-now it's more tangeriney and warm earthy flowers...I like this phase more than that fresh on the skin phase...this has a moderate throw and lasts really really long-it's a morpher, and I imagine it's one that really smells different on different people, so if it sounds up your alley, I'd recommend getting an imp to see how it works on you!

Oof, in the imp this is really intense-a sickly sweet heady floral. Super heady and super sweet. Gah. I don't even like patchouli, but I'm hoping the patchouli comes out a bit when this is on my skin to even it out. Oh yeah, this is wayy too heady floral for me-the gardenia is just overpowering. And it's STRONG. Like a grandma wearing far too much floral perfume. Not for me!

In the imp, this is a sweet, sugary pink bubblegum scent to my nose. Very sugary. Cavity inducing sugary. Almost like that bubblegum that came in the tape dispenser thingy that was popular when I was a kid... Yes, on my skin still very very pink and bubblegummy, with an undertone of richer carnation. Mostly super pink and sugary though. Bubble tape! That's what the gum was called... This has a moderate throw and good wear length-it mellows out after some time on the skin but if you don't like sugary blends, stay away from this one! High-strung is a good descriptor-it's like a little girl in a poofy pink dress running around squealing after a sugar binge. Cute and girly and fun.

Wow, this smells AMAZING in the imp-the blackcurrant tart scent is sooo delicious-rich berry and pastry deliciousness, and just the right amount of rose (yes, it's there, but not IN YO FACE). Definitely on the foody side. Omg. This is amazing. It's mostly delicious foody blackcurrant tart, with this overlay of soft roses. Hrmm...but as it dries, the rose REALLY starts amping. ]: Rose is hit or miss with me, and it looks like it may be too intense here-it's taking over the lovely tart scent!!! Overall, this went a bit too rosy on my skin. I like rose, but only in certain ways-here I really REALLY loved that wet smell of 75% tart and 25% wafty rose goodness, but on my skin it went the greedy rose ate up my yummy tart!! On the right person I really think this blend could be magical, but not for me ]:

This scent is so gorgeous...it isn't something I thought I would love based on the description, but I fell in love sniffing it at will call. Lavender haters, beware, I definitely notice the lavender in this-it's not sharp though-it's a soft, pale lavender that along with the vanilla reminds me a bit of Lilith Victoria There's just the right amount of musk, and normally I don't do well with roses and leaves DEFINITELY aren't my bag, but they are just hinted at here in just the right amounts! Amber is also another problem note for me-it usually goes powdery, but it is SO perfect here-not super powdery at all. This is seriously just the perfect blend of all of these notes into a gorgeous, delicate creamy lavender/vanilla musk, with a touch of rose and the teeeniest hint of leaves. Exquisite!

I like Mme. Moriarty, but it was a bit too patchouli heavy for me-Mlle. doesn't have that patchouli note, so I have high hopes! From the bottle though, it is a bit heavy on the incense for my tastes...I'm hoping the incense will calm down on my skin, because when I sniff it from the bottle, it overpowers the lovely coconut, pomegranate and pink musk I can smell in there! Hrmm...yeah, on my skin, I think the incense is a bit too strong for me-I LOVE the coconut, the sugar, the pom, the pink musk, and the orange blossom, but it's all stuck under a haze of incense that just isn't me... Ok, the incense DOES seem to be calming down a bit...I love all of those other notes so much...now the incense is less of the front runner, and seems to be stepping aside to let the sweet coconut, pom, musk and orange blossom be the star! Yep, I just sniffed the bottle versus the scent of the blend on my skin, and they are completely different-for once, my skin is working in my favor. The touch of incense ties the blend together and keeps it from being too pink or cute...it gives it just the right amount of edge. I do really enjoy the scent on drydown-the wet scent doesn't work for me, but this really takes well to my skin. I think I shall hold onto it and see how it ages-if it mellow out. This is such a great take on the Mme. scent! A perfect fun, youthful version!

This is really gorgeous in the imp-kind of hard to describe-heady carnation, cider, a rich wine note, and a touch of spices. When I read the description and saw wooly wine, I had no idea what that was supposed to mean, but sniffing it...that's what it smells like! Really interesting and unique! On my skin it's a LOT more cidery-the wine kind of falls into the background-rich spiced cider and flowers. Yanno, I thought with Fearful Pleasure and Punkie Night, I didn't need more cider-y scents, but this one is just so different...it's not a typical fall cider... As it dries down, the flowers come out a bit more, maybe a bit too strongly, though I do love carnation...this blend just seems to keep morphing with my skin chemistry. I like this, but I don't loove it. It's definitely unique-though on full drydown it kind of turns back into meh cider again, and it's just not as unique as that fresh wet imp scent was-if I did get this, it would probably be a locket only scent, and I find that I just don't end up using scents that I need to locket. Such a great concept though! The wet scent is amazing!

This is lovely in the bottle-I love the tangerine cream note-wow. So gorgeous! I mostly get the tangerine cream and the sandalwood (which I am a bit worried about since I tend to overamp woods), and something maybe like a slightly salty, aquatic note. Hmm...this tangerine cream and the sandalwood are fighting for the front...I looooove the tangerine cream note-seriously, it is gorgeous and amazing and omg...but I'm just not digging the sandalwood, and they really seem to be 50/50 in this! Honestly, I am so on the fence with this one-the mixture is lovely, but I just don't dig sandalwood...but that tangerine cream note is sooo nice. I will probably hold onto this for a while, and I think it is an amazing blend, I'm just not sure it's for me!

In the imp this is like WHOAJASMINE for me. 90% deep, heady jasmine, with a touch of lemon and currant. But the jasmine drowns out most of the other notes. Yeah. Wow, Seriously, this is SO strong on the jasmine for me. I like jasmine, but only in certain contexts and almost never as the main character. The lemon helps temper this, and I like the whiffs of currant and violet plum, but seriously, this is superheadyomgjasmine. This calms down on full drydown, but then it becomes sort of a tame, floral soap scent. O_o Kind of like nice, fancy, hotel jasminey-floral soap, one of those circular ones wrapped in pretty paper. It's ok, but this is definitely a blend I can live without.

This is so simple and gorgeous. If you liked the perfume oil, you will like this. If you like Beth's red currant and honey notes, you will love this. Not the most exciting or unique scent, but just beautiful, sweet, red, juicy goodness. I am a huge fan of the bath oils-I use them as in shower moisturizers-rub them in and then rinse them off, leaving me super soft and lightly scented. I will absolutely enjoy the heck out of this one!

In the bottle this is a fresh, slightly salty aquatic with an earth-y note underneath. On my skin it has a total aquatic cologne vibe, with an undertone of warm earth. This is very unisex-I could imagine it on a guy or a girl. On drydown I lose a lot of that fresh cologney feel, and get more of a weird salty aquatic scent, which isn't surprising because I don't really do very well with aquatics. I think this would be an amazing blend on a gal or a guy who gravitates towards unique aquatic scents, but it just doesn't work for me. -
Whoa...very intense in the imp. Musky leather, frankincense, and sage. I don't tend to go for masculine scents, but I can see this being super sexy. A little goes a long way with this-very rich and deep and masculine. I get a lot more of the sage and basil when this is on my skin. Very resinous. This pretty much fits Beth's description of the scent accurately. On my skin this is REALLY sagey. Sage isn't really a scent I like to smell like, but it works in this blend. On drydown, this goes quite powdery. I'm not sure what note is doing that, but it's sweet sagey powder. No more musk or leather O_o Very odd. I blame the ambergris. It smells NOTHING like the imp on my skin! This could be a very sexy, masculine, musky leather/resin/sage scent on the right person, but my skin made it straight powder!

Hmm..this is very cedar-y in the imp to my nose. To me, cedar smells like hamster bedding, so I'm not too hopeful...it does have a sort of "golden" feel to it, so I am wondering how it goes on my skin. Hmm...it's better on my skin, though-definitely not hamster bedding at all...a golden, musky cedar...the saffron is very nice in this...it's going a bit off on me, sort of chloriney, but I am going to blame a certain *ahem* time of the month for that. This is honestly probably one of the best cedar bpals I have tried...a really pretty golden cedar/saffron blend, with just the right amount of musk and amber (which doesn't go powdery on me! woo!) The drydown was lovely. Not for me, but I would recommend it to others!
