Deep blue aquatic in the imp. Salty and dark. Not a bright fresh aquatic but deep and foreboding. Aquatics aren't my thing, but there is something just...fascinating about this blend. Such a deep dark aquatic. Dark unfathomable waters indeed! With a sharp spray of salt on some sniffs. I never got a rotting vegetation note or even too dramatic of a seaweed note. Just a deep blue aquatic, that lost its saltiness quite a bit on drydown. This isn't something I would wear, but I think it would be a sexy aquatic on a dude. A very unisex scent. I actually quite enjoyed this more than I thought I would! A very evocative scent.

I'll be honest-this scent is SO not up my alley based on the description But I have to try em all and you never know with bpal. Aquatics/blood notes just usually ain't my thang. In the imp it's like BAM SALTY AQUATIC with a hint of something metallic. Hhrrbbll. Yes, this is quite salty. Super salty aquatic with a metallic tang.I agree with the reviewer who said there may also be lotus in this. It dries down to a less salty, but still very aquatic/metallic blend. Honestly, not terrible, but just not something I would wear.

I am excited to try this! I love all of the notes in it...EXCEPT red ginger. Red ginger is sometimes a death note on me...so I am hoping it is not too strong here, because I really like all the other notes. A lot of sugar cane in this-Yum! I do get the red ginger, but fortunately it is not overwhelming in the imp. Love the mango and mandarin notes, the buttery pumpkin helps around it out. Oh yes, I quite like this! A red ginger scent that works on me? I'm shocked! It goes perfectly in this blend-the other notes seem to keep it in check. The mango and mandarin are such win, and I love the buttery creaminess of the pumpkin. I actually think the strongest note in this may be the sugar cane though, which is fine with me! It does get a bit more red ginger-y as it dries, but not like War which almost killed me ded. Mandarin comes out a big more as it dries as well. This really might be the first red ginger scent I can wear! Yep-the red ginger never went overboard. This is an amazing fruity sugar cane scent with just the right amount of red ginger kick. I don't think I would need a full bottle of this, but I am definitely gonna be on the lookout for a partial!

This has been on my to-try list forever. I can't believe it's one of the last Illyria's I'm getting to! I love pink pepper! However, amber has the tendency to go powdery on me and honeysuckle sometimes just doesn't work on my skin. Still excited to try this though. Ooo, I do love the pink pepper in this-it really is one of my favorite notes-unfortunately, one other note is going really...funky on me. Might be the honeysuckle. I dunno, but it's a basey chloriney scent =/ As it starts to dry I lose the pink pepper and basically just get a powdery basey chlorine scent. It's too bad because in the imp it's this bright, fiery, sweet pink pepper floral. On drydown the funky-ness does fade. I get a very powdery pleasantly sweet pink pepper floral. However, I'll stick with Pothon Meter for my pink pepper fix.

Eee-I remember when this first came out I couldn't wait to try it! Oooh yeah wow, I agree with the other reviews-in the imp this is mostly LIME!!!!!!!!!! with some white musk and florals. Ok, on my skin I can definitely see comparisons to embalming fluid-sorta like embalming fluid without the aloe and with LIME!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is way way way lime-y, with a healthy dose of musk and just a pinch of florals. Maybe the tiniest dot of matcha. Hmmm...something in this goes weird on my skin-some notes do this-they go chloriney on my skin. This is starting to do it pretty intensely. Oof, yeah, this ended up just not working on me unfortunately-some note (I am not sure which) just went off on me. However, I can see it being a lovely blend on the right person. Very reminiscent of embalming fluid or maybe zephyr, bit with more lime and lots n lots of musk.

Ooo pretty-in the imp this is a deep, musky, incensey rose! Lovely! Sexy rose, not old lady rose! Yep, on my skin this is a smoky, musky, hazy rose with a touch of sweetness. Sometimes rose goes a bit *off* on my skin...like, I get an odd sourness. I am getting a little of that here, though not terribly. On full drydown though that oddness went away, and I am left with a beautiful rose scent. A little dark, a little sweet-not you grandma's rose! I don't know if I would buy a bottle of this, but I'd probably snag a partial if I saw one!

Eee-I am so excited to try this. Was frimped it-Eat Me is one of my favorite GCs and one of the first bottles of bpal I ever bought! Can't wait to try this proto! Oh wow, definitely different from the final version. No currant in this, and like the other reviewers, I get an almond note. Sort of like marzipan. Basically smells like a dry almond cake. Yep! Definitely a dry, very sweet, almond cake. I once had a gluten free almond cake made for me-this is totally what it reminds me of! Sort of dry and crumbly sweet almond cake! Yum! I don't think I can think of another bpal quite like this one! As it dries, it does get a bit of an odd platic-y note it did not have while fresh and wet. I only notice it from up close though. From far away it is a super sweet almond scent. Dries a bit less cakey, but definitely still foody. One thing that amazed me was how long this blend lasted. I went to sleep and the next day could still smell a sweet cake scent on my hand. I am thankful I do not love this as much as my beloved Eat Me, however it is a fantastic foody blend and I can't think of another bpal like it! Dry sweet almond cake? Yum!

In the imp, this is a deep, musky pine and juniper scent. Pretty much what it sounds like. Mmmm...a lovely pine/juniper musk! More juniper than pine, which is fine with me because I prefer juniper. And just a touch sweet. Very lovely! On full drydown it is a bit drier, and more piney than juniper, and I do prefer the juniper to pine. The fresh wet scent of it on my skin was definitely my favorite. This was a lovely lovely blend, but I could not see myself wearing it. I would HIGHLY recommend it to those who are a fan of pine and juniper-it is pretty perfect. Might also make a lovely room scent in an oil burner.

I still have not yet found an Ars Draconis scent that works for me. I am excited to try this one because I love apple and apple blossom scents, so maybe this is the one! In the imp this is indeed dragon's blood and sweet juicy apple and apple blossom. Very very sweet. Ah yes, this is lovely on my skin. Mostly the golden apple and apple blossom over a backdrop of Dragon's Blood behind it-the notes go really REALLY well together. There's maybe a touch of musk and floral, but just barely. This goes a little soapy as it dries, but not overwhelmingly so. Also, teh db note comes out more as this dries as well. This was a lovely blend-my favorite of the Ars Draconis line by far. It really worked well on my skin-apple/apple blossom/dragon's blood is a lovely combo. I am not sure I would need to run out and buy a bottle of this, but if I ever spot a partial, I would definitely pick it up!

I have such high hopes for this blend but I am so worried it won't work on me. I love every note in it, but sometimes I have trouble with blueberry notes-they always smell so great in the bottle but tend to go weird on my skin. This is lovely in the imp-so very warm and musky-love the orange blossom honey and velvety berry notes. Not a super sweet fruity kind of scent. Actually, on my skin, the strongest note is the orange blossom honey! Very lovely. Warm golden musk and orange blossom honey with a touch of the slightly bitter velvety skin of dark fruits. Blueberry isn't going weird from what I can tell. Oh this dries so beautifully on my skin! Rich sweet orange blossom honey and warm berries! I love lab honey and mixed with orange blossom it is just magical on my skin. Also, just the right amount of musk and fruit. On full drydown it's sort of a powdery figgy scent-doesn't last too long so will need to be reapplied a lot, but it will be worth it-zomg orange blossom honey goodness!

SOoh, I like saffron scents, though I'm not a big cedar/sandalwood fan. In the imp this is SUPER saffron-y. Like, almost straight saffron. I also get that spearminty scent that sometimes goes with saffron. I'm guessing the woods will come out on my skin? It's fine if they don't though. Yep, on my skin I definitely get the sandalwood and lotus, though don't notice the cedar. Still, this is MOSTLY saffron and definitely spearminty. Very pleasant. I can also see how people would get root beer from this. This was just an ok blend to me. It never went overly woody, and was mostly just a pleasant saffron/light woods scent. Not spicy at all.

This is mostly a slightly sweet red apple scent in the bottle-very pleasant. On my skin this is a warm, spiced cider kind of scent. O_o A bit earthy/woodsy, a touch fruity, but mostly warm apple cider. Very lovely! I know some people were overpowered by honey but I don't notice it that dramatically. Though as it dries it starts to go sweeter. This scent didn't last super long, but it was a lovely, pleasant slightly sweetened and lightly spiced apple cider scent. I'll be honest-I have had two cider scents in the past (Punkie Night and Fearful Pleasure) and even though I enjoy the scent, I found I never wear them despite how pleasant they are. I have two bottles of this-one will definitely be swapped but I'll hold onto the other and see if this time I actually wear a cider scent!

Evil incarnate indeed. These are two of my least favorite notes. Patchouli I can sometimes do mixed with other stuff, but vetivert is my doom note. Yep, in the imp it is a dark, scorched vetivert scent through and through. Guhhhh. On my skin, just burnt black vetiver. Skdjalksdjs. Just SO not my thing! Yeah, this was basically a straight vetivert scent to me. Fans of dark, black vetivert should try this, but if you are like me and vetiver is doom, steer clear!

Ugh, daylight savings is killing me so I decided it was time to bust this imp out for a testdrive. In the imp, this is a sharp lavender scent. Not surprising-most sleep blends have some lavender in them. Not getting in jasmine, like other reviewers have. Just sharp, almost crytalline lavender. Yep, a sharp lavender scent. Not unpleasant, but not something I would wear as perfume, which is fine because this blend is not meant to be perfume. We shall see how it helps me sleep, so the rest of this review will be put up in the morning...to be continued! Ok, overall this was a pretty good sleep blend. I had a restful night's sleep and no weird/uncomfortable dreams like when I used Temple of Dreams. May see if I can find a partial bottle of this.

What a weird scent in the imp. I like the review that called this evil egyptian bubblegum. I really don't know where the bubblegum note comes from, but I totally see it O_o Er, smell it. LOL, seriously, this is sort of like sweet pink bubblegum + myrrh. What a bizarre combo-I really can't think of any other way to describe it. The more it dries, the more myrrh-y it gets. It smells a bit weird on me tbh. Stayed a bubblegum incense for a while, then faded to a soft slightly sweet powdery amber incense. I think I will stick with Xanthe for my bubblegum fix, but if you like your bubblegum more foreboding and mysterious, this is quite an interesting blend.

In the imp this is a dry, light, sandalwood-y scent with a kiss of sweet white coconut. Very pleasant. Huh, I'm not usually a sandalwood fan, but the coconut is just so pleasant here on my skin. Just a touch sweet and white. It goes very well with the dry sandalwood. Not getting that much musk or incense. This stays a soft sweet coconut scent for quite a while, until it eventually fades to a light sandalwood. I know I keep using the word pleasant, but that really is the best word I can think of to describe this scent. The sandalwood never went too woody for me and I just loved that coconut note (and was sad when it eventually faded). I wouldn't need a full bottle of this, but if I ever see a partial, I'd probably jump on it. A lovely soft sweet coconut/sandalwood scent.

Haha, I've been waiting to test this one! I still remember seeing "indigo musk" and being like 'O_o baroo?'Hmm...in the imp I mostly smell the rose geranium actually-definitely musky...not sure how to describe it though. I'm hoping more plum comes out on my skin b/c I lurve the lab's plum note. Oh, this is kinda nice on my skin-definitely still mostly rose geranium to my nose but it's got this sort of musky/mintiness that is very pleasant. I just barely notice the jasmine (jasmine haters, fear not!) or the patchouli. A sort of hazy rose geranium scent. I wish I got a bit more plum though tbh. Yes, a hazy rose geranium is how this blend ends up to me. Doesn't go sour or weird. If you don't like rose geranium, I don't think you will like this, but if you are a fan, you have to try this out. And if you aren't sure, give this one a shot. It's very interesting. One last note-I found this faded a bit fast-is one that would need some reapplying.

This is my absolute go-to color for job interviews. It's a soft, slightly milky pink/nude. I think three coats looks best-it's definitely not opaque and you will see the nail line, but it is as delirium said-it hides the blemishes in your nails. I can see it being a wonderful french manicure base as well. Just a classy glossy pinkish nude that makes your nails look clean and lovely. I have had no problems with the application or dry time (unlike some of the claw polish shimmers). I can't recommend this polish enough, especially if you work in a conservative office and need a perfect color that won't stand out but will make you look polished and put together.

@_@ In the imp, this is sort of a dirty, dark cocoa scent. A very weird combination. Yeah, this is such a weird combo on me-really does smell like dirty dirty cocoa. Maybe a little booze in there. It's hard to tell O_o Ugh, as it dries, it smells...really not good on me. For whatever reason, my skin is morphing this into an almost rotten/vomit kind of smell. As it continues to dry, I get that corn tortilla scent that someone below mentioned O_o It kinda stays like that on drydown-like a mix of cocoa powder and corn tortillas. Don't know what happened to this on my skin but it just did not work!
-
In the imp, this is mostly deep dark myrrh and subdued jasmine. Not zomg heady jasmine keel me over-very understated and sort of sinister under that veil of myrrh. Not noticing the rose at all. On my skin this goes WAY more jasminey. Like, all jasmine. Well, 75% jasmine, 25% myrrh. Maybe a sliver of rose in there somewhere? The jasmine really is quite strong in this. Definitely a mature scent-I can see why Beth would call it sophisticated. Overall, dried to a soft, slightly powdery jasmine/myrhh. Never Got any rose from this. A nice, slightly naughty, adult jasmine scent, though not one I could see myself wearing.

Lovely dark oil in the imp. Sot of a sharp grape scent, definitely a green/viney scent, cloaked in opium. Yes, this is pretty much a very sharp green/lily scent-has an odd sour edge to it was well...and a sweetness that others have identified as a grape note. Definitely opium smoke in there as well. This really is not like any other bpal (or perfume for that matter) I have ever sniffed. It kind of loses its uniqueness on full drydown though-ends up being a slightly powdery opium/green scent. This was an interesting one to test-wet, it really was one of the most unique bpal scents I had tried, so I would recommend everyone at least get an imp of this to experience!

Oy vey, I rarely say this about bpal, but this bath oil didn't age well. It ends up leaving a very weird aftersmell that I only used to barely notice but has become distinctly stronger with age. When I first got this bath oil it was a nice, warm, very spicy pumpkin smell. Just a bit of graham cracker crust to make it pie. I was never a huge bpal pumpkin fan (it was always a bit too bland and buttery for me), but this was the closest I'd come to a real foody bpal pumpkin. As I said though, I still have about a half of a bottle left and I think I may have to throw it out =/ It now has a sort of woody smell when I use it in the bath and leaves sort of an odd funk aftersmell. :[ Probably the first bpal bath oil I haven't had success with!

Oof...sharper than I expected. A sharp cypress/frankincense scent. Didn't notice the hazelnut tbh (I hope I notice it on my skin!) Oof. Ack. So sharp on me for some reason. Maybe it's the cypress. I dunno, but unfortunately, this is just sort of a mess on me =/ Still no hazlenut. Maybe a little more oakmoss to mellow this out as it dries, but definitely mostly cypress, frankincense and oude. Dried down to a weird, light cypress/oude scent. This scent just totally did not work on me.
-
Eep, I've been holding onto this for a while without testing it-its such an odd combination of scents! I am very curious to try it! Oh, this is very nice! Very interesting an complex-I definitely get the base of bay rum, but I get touches of coconut, sugar cane, woods, cacao...it really is a little bit of everything. Even that lime rind! It's neat because it's so well blended-I smell all the notes but at the same time its its own cohesive scent. I'm not a huge room spray fan, but I'm not gonna lie-I am digging this a lot and feel like I won't be able to part with it so quickly. It's the perfect sexy pirate room spray!

Hmm..Ars Draconis is unfortunately a grouping that I have not yet found any scent successes. Dragon's Blood just isn't that a great a note on me. This blend sounds interesting-I am a fan of fig and currant, but black musk is usually a dud on me. In the imp this is a juicy, fruity dragon's blood. I can definitely smell the black musk in there, but it works with the blend, at least in the imp. Not sure how it will go on my skin. Hmm...almost immediately on my skin this starts to go powdery-it's like a powdery dragon's blood resin with black musk. Darn black musk just amps so much on me =/ I don't get any currant. Meh. The black musk sort of has a rubber tire scent on my skin for some reason. Oh yeah, as this dries, it is powder town USA. Almost all sweet powder :[ Same on full full drydown. Just sweet powder. Boo-urns! Never got any fig or currant from this.
