    Undertow

In the bottle: Very minty... and a strange piney and dusty scent that reminds me of laundry soap. Really often, when smelling BPAL perfumes, certain scents trigger memories of places and their distinctive scents. When I smelled Undertow straight from the bottle, I had a vivid memory of a basement or a cold chamber in a old building, dark and filled with cans, wood, laundry soap and spiders. Wet on skin: The source of that piney and soapy scent that is so strange to me definitely is the lotus and juniper. Dry down: Gets more minty than "creepy basement-y". Final: I love minty scent, but this combination is way to strange to me!... I won't keep that one.

    Spooky Building Scents

Ouija : Lush parlor rooms draped in thick velvets and gilded in gold, unearthly whispering in the distance, fleeting flashes of wraithlike figures rushing just outside your vision, the chill of a phantom presence brushing by your cheek, the inscrutable knowledge that disembodied eyes are peering at you from darkened corners… this is the essence of Victorian-era spiritualism: rosewood, oak and teak notes with wispy blue lilac, tea rose, dried white rose and ethereal osmanthus. A definitely creepy atmosphere here!

    Vixen

This is the patchouli I get from Snake Oil! Just imagine Snake Oil without the cocoa or vanilla notes, and just yummy patchouli. That’s exactly what it smells like to me.

    Event Horizon

I haven’t been very lucky with any of the opium notes I’ve tried so far. But, let's give it a try! I got this as a frimp from the lab, and being a major science geek, I loved the name! In the bottle: Smoky amber (benzoin I guess) and... cherry?! Wet on skin: Homemade spicy cherry alcohol. Yummy! (It might be my imagination but, that’s really what it smells like to me!) Dry down: Sophisticated patchouli and musk (which might be the opium note I smell here). With incense smoke, a hint of spices, dark florals notes in the background. And my imaginary cherry is still there! It’s truly dark and seductive scent. I can't stop smelling my wrist! I get inevitably attracted to it, like a black hole. I cannot escape its gravitation! I will definitely order a big bottle of this! A big thank you to Lab to make me discover this one. Just by the scent description, it's not a scent I would have tried on my own.

    [Review: the RPG series] Half-Elf

This is a green, sweet and slightly earthy scent (probably from the sandalwood?). It's indeed, a sophisticated scent and it's definitely sexy. I love scent that reminds me of forests and earth (yeah, my username, I know). With this sexy, sweet, forest combination, I totally adore this scent! Oh yes, I will be wearing this while playing my chaotic neutral half-elf beguiler! Source: Half-Elf

    Snow Moon 2012

In the bottle, it immediately remind be of Nocnitsa (now discontinued). I went to look up at the description of that scent to find the culprit: fir! It’s a positive thing as I was a fan of that scent! I also get sweet notes and flowers (I can’t really identify them). Wet on skin, the flowers comes out more, followed by a crisp, icy scent! It’s beautiful! Once dry, I get a very sweet and white floral scent. The fir is still present, somewhere in the background, far away into that icy forest. I’m really unable to discern specific notes here, but it’s a very nice scent!

    [Review: the RPG series] Paladin

In the bottle, it’s clean, sharp and green. Wet on skin, it’s still clean and green. Maybe it's my imagination but at that stage, I get a tart green apple note, similar to what I remember from Sleeping Beauty. Once dry, it's all vanilla and the scent of church incenses. I personally love incense notes but, often, they tend to be very strong and have lot of throw. Paladin doesn't have this problem; it's a discreet incense note. One that won't make your D&D partners loose their concentration! Overall, it's a lovely vanilla, incense and clean scent. It has just enough throw for me. I love it! Source: Paladin

    Blizzard (WoW, RPG) Scent Suggestions

I'm planning to do a Sarah Kerrigan cosplay, based on her character design in the first game and before she becomes infected. As a BPAL addict, I first though: "Oh! What Kerrigan would smell like?" I though of Ultraviolet (Bewitching Brews):

    Slippery Poppy Tincture

To me, it smells like poppy flowers, ferns and pollen. I love it! It reminds me of a summer in a field of wild flowers! (I know, I have too much imagination...)

    Queen of Sheba

Honey covered almonds and spices! It's a very lovely scent. Unluckily for me, once it dried, it became baby power and spices. I've go to be incompatible with that delicious almond scent...

    L'Heure Verte

Once dry, it's very sweet rose water, lilac and opium smoke on me. There is a very light herbal note in the background. The rose water note is not to strong on me, normaly my skin amps roses and make them turn into babypowder. I'm happy that I've finally found a rose scent that works for me. I really love this one, it's part of my favorites now.

    Boomslang

Snake oil and very rich cocoa. After and hour or two, the cocoa disappears completely leaving a sweeter version of snake oil (rice milk?). I am already sold to Snake Oil but I think I am starting to like Boomslang even more!

    Nanshe

The comforting warmth of cinnamon with lemongrass and a hint of lavender. Once dry, something new appears, wood or a resin? I tried this oil before I went to sleep, and as I passed by the living room, everyone exclaimed that I smelled like and evergreen tree (and that's not positive). Nanshe has a very powerful throw, I find it way to strong for sleeping and unfortunately I didn't slept very well that night... Too bad I ordered the 5 ml before testing it out with an imp.
