I'm probably not the only person who ordered an imp's ear of this scent just because I loved the name and the concept. When I applied Bastet to my skin, I smelled an initial blast of cherry that reminded me of cough drops. I was already mentally listing this imp for swap, when the cherry note dissipated and Bastet revealed her true nature as a warm, sultry blend of amber and sandalwood, with some additional spices in the background. (I didn't notice any musk, which is fine with me.) I'm usually more of a floral type, but I've been enjoying my sample of Bastet so far. If I decide to continue worshipping her, I'll purchase a 5 ml bottle.

O is a rich, nearly pure honey scent on me, with a note of amber in the drydown. It reminds me a lot of LUSH's B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful shower gel, which is now (sadly) discontinued! I've been wearing it to bed, as a sensual comfort scent. That might seem like an oxymoron... maybe that's what "O" should mean, in this case!

What an unusual scent! It's truly a winter fragrance. I think I can detect notes of mint... vanilla... just a bit of almond... pine? More than anything else, it reminds me of bayberry candles, only cooler. Maybe real bayberries, in fact... I don't think I've ever seen actual bayberries, but this is what they *should* smell like, with frost on them.

On me, this is almost a single-note tea rose scent. I love tea rose, and although I'm not sure how to describe its difference from "regular" roses, it *is* a very distinctive floral note. This is a refined and old-fashioned fragrance, with medium lasting power, and I may purchase a full bottle someday when I've used up my supply of Creed's Fleur de The Rose Bulgare. London would definitely be a more affordable alternative! As for the name, this scent doesn't remind me of the city of London itself, but maybe it does evoke an Edwardian rose garden, in spring or summer, behind a house in a London suburb.

I'm glad that I ordered an Imp's Ear of this fragrance; I was attracted by the name and the description, and I'm happy to find that it has some of my favorite notes! Antique Lace is a powdery vanilla scent with a soft musk base. It reminds me of L'Occitane's new Rue des Vanilliers line, which was inspired by vanilla orchids, and of The Body Shop's old White Musk fragrance. I applied Antique Lace before bed, and enjoyed its calming quality; it's sweet, but not candylike. I could still smell it when I woke up eight hours later. I may purchase a bottle of this when I finish the sample!
