I got this as a freebie in my last order, and I love it! Rich, comforting cinnamon. Reminds me of cinnamon almonds. But the resinous myrrh, which becomes more noticeable over time, adds an interesting layer of depth keeps it from being a completely “foody” scent. The honeysuckle and copal add warmth and sweetness.

the rich, buttery vanilla (sometimes I think it actually smells more like honey or --this is weird-- peanut butter) is tempered by the sharpness of the root beer/sassafras, and the warm, woodsy cedar brings it all together. i want to wear this while relaxing by a cozy campfire. it smells good on me and even better on my man, so we are going to have to get a bottle to share.

Fresh, juicy oranges, blended with the sweetness of mango. As it dries, the citrus becomes less noticeable. It transforms into a soft, powdery, slightly floral scent. At first it seems like it would smell good on either sex, since it’s so bright and fresh, but once the citrus fades, it’s definitely a girly scent.

soft and floral. it might be nice to wear when you need help falling asleep. i prefer the stronger, more biting violet scent of bluebeard; this one is a little too delicate for me.

I definitely notice the cedar in this one. And yeah, it does kind of smell like root beer, the way that Tombstone does. Also very resinous, like Cathedral, but not as sharp thanks to the saffron and other spices, which add sweetness. It makes me feel calm.

At first there is a really noticeable, sickly sweet tobacco odor. This goes away once it’s dry. Then it smells mostly like nag champa, with hints of lavender and warm musky labdanum. At this point it is nice, but not very strong, and I don’t know I can wait out the tobacco. I’ve really enjoyed other smoky scents like Hellfire and Brimstone, but I'm not as into this one.

Luscious, juicy plum and other dark, decadent fruits - currant and grape. Just sweet enough, not cloying. Reminds me of the ripe fruity scent of Hollywood Babylon, only with plums rather than strawberries. There’s a hint of amaretto too, but it smells rich and almond-y, not boozy, and really complements the fruit.

i wanted something to wear that would make me happy on hot, humid summer days, and manila is perfect - lush, tropical, sweet, slightly aquatic. i smell banana, but it's not the standard, synthetic, in-your-face "banana" scent (like in scratch n' sniff stickers). it's like a green, underripe banana. there's also coconut and fresh flowers. this will be perfect for relaxing in the sun, sipping a cool drink, after a refreshing dip in the pool.

i like the way frankincense smells on me and it's very strong here. dry and incense-y, this is like a more spicy, sweet version of cathedral. it smells like a church, but at the same time it smells like a treasure chest full of spices from some exotic location. one of the sexiest bpal scents i've tried.

the first time i wore this it smelled like chocolate covered cherries. but about a week later i wore it again and it smelled completely different. the cherry was almost unnoticeable and it smelled very strongly of honey and a little bit of vanilla. after half an hour i was smelling only honey and then nothing -- it faded pretty fast.

this is a more everyday, wearable church scent than cathedral. it has that dry, incense smell of a church, thanks to the frankincense i guess. but there's also a very clean, green, slightly soapy smell. it's like a church that's just undergone spring cleaning, full of flowers and plants, with all its doors thrown open to let in the fresh air.

at first this smelled kind of like...root beer? i was not expecting that! but then, as it dried, it was definitely very soapy, with a hint of baby oil. clean and comforting.

Bast, Ubasti, Ailuros, Ba-en-Aset. Represented as both a domestic cat and a fierce lioness, she truly evidences traits of both. She is the Mother of All Cats, Goddess of Sensuality, Fertility, and a guardian and protector of women. She is also one of the Eyes of Ra, and in that aspect is an Avenging Goddess, seeking retribution and punishing enemies of her people. Luxuriant amber, warm Egyptian musk, fierce saffron and soft myrrh, almond, cardamom and golden lotus. i love amber so this scent is perfect for me. when i first applied it, it smelled like almonds. but soon the amber came out, along with lotus and saffron. i wish it were a little stronger on me -- i have to apply more than usual. warm, sweet, feminine, refined.

i wish i could drink this. it's buttery and warm. i can smell the slight spiciness of the rum, but the coconut is what really shines here. very strong raw coconut scent at first, becomes more sweet and delicate as it dries.

Named after the primordial ocean of milk where Lord Vishnu reclines upon the thousand-headed Naga. Sweet milk and warm, healing ginger with a touch of golden honey and our blend of Ambrosia. wow. love this. milky, sugary, ginger-y. just the right combination of creamy, sweet, spicy at first, and then it fades to slightly sweet, slightly soapy, very clean. not getting any of the lemon mentioned in other reviews (which is good, cause i don't do well with citrus scents).

i got this along with brimstone and they are similar, but djinn has a much more sharp, acrid tinge to it. it never really mellows out, but stays kind of bitter until i wash it off, on me anyhow. it's not burning wood, but burning metal, maybe. too sharp and masculine for me.

what an odd scent but i think i like it! in the bottle it is so strong and reminds me of a campfire. there's a sweet, wood smell mixed in with the smokiness. on my skin it smells more like the campfire's aftermath or the ashes left in a fireplace. i think there's also a hint of medicinal smell, kind of like the way band-aids smell? my husband chimes in that it's what a haunted house would smell like. it's like something eerie dangerous has been in the room and left its scent but is now gone.
-
in the bottle i get dark cherries, black licorice, tobacco smoke, lemons, and some kind of sweet candy smell. the overall impression i get is sweetly alluring but with something unknowable and sinister going on underneath. unfortunately, on me it goes all lemon. citrusy scents and me don't mix. i'd almost keep this just so i could keep sniffing it in the bottle.

this is really interesting. i love amber, and it's strong here. there's pine, spices that remind me of incense, and full, fruity but not overly sweet berries. all of these different things swirl over each other. on first sniff the spices are strongest. then i get a whiff of amber. next, the pine reveals itself. then i get a mixture of berries and amber. what a great, complex mixture.

this is aquatic and warm and heavily floral. like walking through a flower garden on a really hot day. it's also really strong. too overpowering and too floral for me.
-
this smelled a lot like strawberries when i first put it on. as it dried, it smelled exactly like cherry chapstick. maybe slightly more astringent. it makes me feel happy.
-
on me this was all lavender, which was fine by me! it's very soothing and i think it's fine for a guy or a girl.
-
this wasn't very strong on me. i had to re-apply it to get a good idea of what it smelled like. it's like a mixture of nag champa and roses. powdery and smoky, very subtle and understated.
-
at first it smells very strongly of lime, but you can tell that it's not pure lime, there's also something else in the background that makes it seem kind of dark and mysterious. then the citrus fades and what's left is a very delicate lilac. i do like it, but citrus is always so overpowering on my skin, so i don't know if i'll wear it that much.

sandalwood and florals definitely. but i'm also smelling stuff that i don't think is really there, like coconut at first, and lemon later on. i think this is perfect for a really sophisticated, classy, elegant kind of woman. that's not me, but it's still a nice scent.
