initially: wine , chocolate and tobbaco slowly I smell honey and rose comming into play... OH nooo. I get that odd berry note that i have yet to identify and then kali becomes a berry wine floral and does nothing for me so sad

I was afraid of the lotus, that it would go bubble gum on me like it has in the past. I needen't have feared, there is just a touch noticable here and it simply sweetens a dry crisp floral blend. I'm not crazy about the rose, this is persephone or lucy's rose not london or wanton's, it is brighter and leans citrus a bit. Then the freesia comes out to play and it is really pretty It IS a nice floral, but it has a very mainstream feel to it. I'll sniff it some more and then will likely send it to the swap block unless it changes a bunch. Another great oil to initiate a newbie to bpal, cause it smells more like perfume to me than the ones I adore. Come to think of it, my mother would have adored this scent But then, my mom was a pretty cool gal!

CC XIV Chaos theory II Out of the bottle this is milky and buttery, almost like milk moon. Against my skin I definitely smell some of the same milky tones and then up comes a deep dark floral! Dark like narcissus and maybe some stargazer lily? and then some opium mixed in. as it dries I get a tiny whiff of vetivert but not an offputting amount. I can best describe it like this: dab on a tiny bit of darkness, then add anathema and then a bit of milk moon... now sniff Finally add a touch of love me, just a touch and you have my chaos theory as best as i can smell.... It's gentle and sweet and dark and sultry all at once! edit: strangely it morphs at the very end to something like snake oil! I'm assuming since it throws vanilla at the END that there is benzoin in it? Is that a logical conclusion? This morphs liike nothing I have ever tried and I really enjoy the stages of it... category: resin/floral (?) BRAVO Beth! sdit to add: I'm game for swapping

This one starts out bright and clean ( lilly and geranium for sure) with slight cedar woody bits. But as it dries an unsettling scent arrives, almost animalistic although no notes as such are listed, must be the black orchid?. As a first try? meh~ I'll give it a second go though

This one is a clean MAN smell. Hubby has complained about an oily undercurrent to many of the BPAL oils. Not so with Wilde! He loves it as much as I do!! SWOON!!! I think I see this and severin in a hubby order....
-
This is darkness meets New Orleans! I was at a miniswap with a few friends and swiped this on one hand. about 20 minutes later I had to dive through the pile trying to find what it was that smelled SOOO good! If vetiver scares you, don't let it! This one is only grounded by it and is a fabulous wicked lush floral!!

This one is the ultimate clean fresh scent for me!! After trying Alice, kumiho, white rabbit, embalming fluid, empyreal mist and quite a few others in search of a fresh clean scent I got an imp of severin and almost fainted dead away. Swoon!! It's clean without being laundry, it's bright without being sour. it has a childhood pull that I can't pin down but that makes me feel really good I know the story behind this scent, but to me it is sunshine and lemonhead candy folllowed by a good book and a snuggly nap

Bright, clean florals without a touch of powderiness! This is another one to use to introduce ( seduce!?)a bpal virgin! I think I would swoon over this one even more if it had not arrived with milk moon which I LOVE. I have two bottles of beltane which is my to die for floral, so this one will get another test and may make it on the swapping block. Nothing wrong here, a very well blended lovely floral, but I'm not sure I NEED it so It might just move on to one who does.

yummy! This one smells like the best possible ever drink. Milky buttery sweet with coconut and YUM! kind of like a hot rum toddy met a pina colada! I LOVE IT! Sadly my bottle spilled quite a bit in transit anyone who wants something else who has milk moon to swap? I'm on a hunt! I have corazon LE and quite a few other catalog scents too.

green and cheerful! I smell the same note in many of the voodoo blends that makes me think of celery or coriander but in this blend it is perfect. It's a huge mood lifter, I was amazed at how bright I felt getting wisps of this. I'm glad it has throw cause the throw is what I really love, if I get too close to my wrist I don't like it quite as much. I do get the reference to tuberose and gardenia and maybe magnolia. This is great! Thanks again kmadsen for the chance at this one, it will be a real power scent for me! I can think of no better scent for days when I need an extra dose of confidence or well, luck!

Beltane is a serious morpher on me! From the bottle I get drifts of Nuit and I was scared cause Nuit went yucky on me, but no fear wet on: flowers I cannot identify and a wisp of smoke. drying Fruit! but just a flash of a fruity smell, the same note in queen Mab, but then it's gone and I'm pretty sure it's not realy a fruit at all, just a berry smelling floral. dry: a hint of spiciness in a creamy floral. Carnation?I can't tell you a thing about what is in it but it is just wonderful The drydown is pretty much the same and I just love it and would like to have a nother bottle pretty please? I have a few LE and non LE to swap if anyone just hated it

I never thought I'd like this, but when I opened it I was just in heaven! It's soft and gentle without a hint of powderiness or soapiness. The flowers are tropical, warm and drenched with sunshine and moisture. I can literally feel the flowers in my palms as I sniff, and everyone I have forced to sniff my wrist has LOVED it!! This is the ultimate scent to share with a non bpal customer/fan because there is nothing sinister holding it, just wonderful sweet light freshness. I'm not a light and fresh flowery gal, but I will wear this and share this and order more!

jasmine, lotus, cinamon, rose and pepper? in that order! Much softer than say harlot, but very seductive with a similar feel. I don't get dragon's blood so it must be a minor component. I LIKE this alot!!
-
another vote for blood amber and I'm gonna have to try the lion
-
On, I get a blast of cedar and a slow rising of olive leaf. Both are dry and lovely and underscored by a tiny bit of sweetness. This blend truly reminds me of a cedar chest full of old clothing that still have their own faint sweet perfume. Stellar blend!

I smell berries again! Just like i did with wolf moon! I can't figure it out I wish I could identify what note does that on me!!! after the berries go, it fades to a soft, but in no way powdery, floral. It IS nice. but for beth's blends, this one is just too tame for me. I like her more complex dark or sultry scents. I do understand why this is popular though. It is tame enough for general wear but still quite different from the mainstream scents.

juniper and citrus? a touch of tea? This one screamed at me in the same way that kumiho and shanghai did although the notes are different. It is much softer citrus on the drydown though. It smells very bright and sunny. I'm not bright and sunny, so off it goes.
-
cool and peaceful This one makes an amazing shift from wet ( NOT white)floral to herbal to dry woods over a two hour period and each stage is more soothing and alive than the last. I am awed by the skill of this one. WELL DONE!
-
Ginger and tea galore, for 20 minutes. Then sadly it becomes grapefruits and I hate when that happens. It's me and my skin I give up. I busted badly on this order
-
Darn, this one is all juicy berries on me with wispy herbs trying to come out I bought this one just KNOWING I'd love it. Well, it smells great in the bottle but does not like me It has the same odd fruit I smell in wolf moon. 5 ml anyone?
-
Gods this is fabulous! It' is mango goodness with a touch of gentle florals. Something in it reminds me of white rabbit with mangos added. I REALLY love it, Like way more than any LE I have tried to date, and I will be sad when this one is all gone.
-
LOL I'm not sure we have the same bottles! Wet: citrus! bright sweet mandarin dry: cedar and vetiver with a touch of saffron wonderfully warm and dry and woody. cedar is the longest note for me, just yummy and would be AMAZING on a man.
-
dragons's blood and eucaluptus or cyprus? reminds me of dragon tears but tamer. I like this one very much. I wonder if the afinity for a scent indicates an affinity for the card? ( I know nothing about tarot)
-
This one screams anis seed to me , like a smoky black annis, not my cup of tea but ALL of the tarot blends are softer to me than the other bpal oils and thus infinitely more wearable and more personal.

peaceful and aromatic. There are so many scents inhere that I can sniff it 100 times and smell something different each time, but not in chaos, but leisure. I really love this! ADDED Aug. 25: I got an imp of this many months ago and was astounded then by the comforting smell. I also knew that an imp was no where near enough and I passed it on and made a note to myself. Well, my ten ml got here today and it's still the same fabulous scent I recall and I am in deep bliss! I wish I could even begin to describe it! I know there are many spices in it, and something like myrtle or eucalyptus and deep woods and a growl of amber maybe? There is something resinous that keeps it from being too metallic or spicy. This is the smells of my childhood all rolled into one bottle. I smell metal ( I too was a metal licker, go figure) I smell my grandfather's workshop, I smell spices, that are familiar to me, but a jumble of them like pepper, curry, cinamon, I smell the heat of the dryer in the basement on cold laundry days ( NO dryer sheet!). I smelll the backyard full of pine needles and laurel shrubs with the aviary down below me. The drydown is all resin and spice and suprisingly green. It stays with me quite a while. Hubby does not really care for this one, but then there are no associations with it for him. And btw I may sneak some on him as I think it would be lovely on a man, totally unisex I'm not sure I would call this a perfume smell at all, it is a scent journey and a blanket of love to wrap myself in. This is the smell of the best of my childhood world and all I hope to offer my children. Milk Moon is my children's baby days, somnus is their sweet sleeping time, bloodlust ( or blood amber) is the adult me, New Orleans is my teen years in the southern summers.... and this is my childhood. Way more than anyone prolly wanted to read, but this is so evocative for me that I could write a book about what it brings forth.
