a chocolate liquor and a bloody lip. Smells exactly like the description, but I din't really care for it. The wine blends just smell TOO much like alcohol for me and I feel like I'm walking around smelling of booze... Oh well The cocoa in it is divine btw, just have to get rid of the alcohol... edit: Okay it is growing on me. I WILL be keeping this imp amd I may just calll it my weekend night scent, chocolates, wine, rough sex ,oh, shudder.... Not a *nice* scent at all, not not at all

first open? vinegar and roses! The vinegar goes away quickly and the rose comes forward, reminding me of the rose in Lucy's kiss. No fruit ever comes forward. for rose I like Harlot or old london MUCH better.

Bold, bright mandarin paired with the sweet, sensual earthiness of fig. Juicy, sweet and lighter than I expected. Honestly? This reminds me of clair burke air freshener kind of like the applejack variety. It's a very nice smell, but more like a candle or room scent for me that a personal one. On me, I like fig leaf more than fig fruit

To me this is Sophia without the musk. It is vaguely like somnus as well, but softer and more girlie. It is such a light soft elusive scent but the dry down lasts for quite a while. The start of it, beware! It is sharp and very biting with shrill lavender and asmine. But relax because the bite dissapears as the scent dries and becomes soft and whispery. I don't get powder thank goodness, just fresh clean air with the soft drift of lavender and flowers. I got a shortie of this and I plan to use every drop I also plan to test it wrist to wrist with somnus to see which one I like better

I remember loving to put my mouth on cold metal as a child. Standing outside on a clear fall day grossing my mother out as I mouthed the metal handrail. I must have been 2 or three, but this is what that cold metal taste would smell like! It is indeed a cold smell, but not emotionally cold. It has two of my favorite smells in it, eucalyptus and violet, so it was a hit from the first thought of it for me!

This is what I wish all my laundry smelled like! It's fresh and clean and sunshine without a hint of soap or powder! I can smell the teas most strongly but they are green and white teas, not black tea or even earl grey.The peony is exactly right as a whisper to warm them. I have a bit of kiehls conditioner that is VERY slightly fragranced. I think i might have to empty this inp into the container as it dries the peony becomes more prominent and the tea softens but does not fade. Sadly this scent fades on me, all the more reason to put it in my hair!!

I smell pear, and then pear and then.. slight florals... and then nothing! I thought I would love this, but there is nothing there after the pear to my nose I'll stick with bolder non fruity florals if I want floral.

ack! this was a frimp and i smelled the dreaded almonds upon application which became spicy almonds which means i washed it off. Rats and drats, passed this one on...

in the bottle it's a soft glorious aquatic floral. On wet, ack there's that celery note, I can't figure out what it is, but it smells like celery seed, but it also smells wet and green. I like this much better from the bottle I wish it had stayed true to the bottle, while it dries better than the celery, that note pops up again at intervals and makes this harsh in a way it needed't be. some of the voodoo blends do this to me too, paticularly has no hanna. I KNOW this is a skin chemistry issue, and from a distance the throw is awesome, but when you get close to my wrist? celery seed. slaw anyone?? edit to add: after half an hour the celery( herbal scent) goes soft and I'm left with a cleanly blended soft aquatic floral that is just lovely

for your loe of magnolia and night blooming jasmine I can reccommend New Orleans for sure. I find that I too am drawn to beth's simpler scents.

There is that darned berry scent again! This is a bayberry scented candle on me and nothing else, had to wash it off

I really love wolf's heart! I have no idea what I smell, but I *think* I smell is dragon's blood, clove, and jasmine. It's warm, very warm, fierce and gentle at the same time. It has a scent that reminds me of a spiced up blood amber on application. I have no idea what it will do as it morphs, but the DB scent is dying down as it dries and the spice ( clove?) is coming forward more. Now the clove is receeding and I'm getting herbs that remind me of van van, but none of the baby powder like note. I REALLY love this and could see a bigger bottle in my future!!

Oh this is a fun one! Smells like fruity bubble gum, not heavy or overly sweet, just bubble gum that dries down to a softly sweet slightly lemony scent. Fresh and sweet and happy. LOL! This scent is NOT me at all, but I DO like it. It vaguely reminds me of some scent i wore in the 80's but I can't name it at present. Is it heliotrope or lotus that smells like bubble gum? anyone? It softens even more and I smell the eine, very much a light white though and maybe the pear peaks around but is not at all dominant. This is a playful scent and yes, it reminds me of candy and silly girls who all line up to dance at the disco

Blood amber and desire's child This one is just a delightful blend in which the vanilla notes do NOT go playdoh! The wine makes it damned near edible in smell and it is tempting to lick the spot where it is applied. The dragon's blood is very aparent but is strongly supported rather than being a floaty scent like dragon tears. I still like blood amber best because it is a skin scent for me, but this one is quite close, it's a spiced skin scent I never get any of the powder scen at all.

Imp becomes blueberries on me! I think the combination of peach and patchouli is what does this to me, but it really smells like I smeared fresh bluberries over my skin. I mean I even expect my skin to look stained! From wet to dry it goes slightly from very sweet berries to dried berries, but the notes all still register the same. It's a fine scent, but the combination's end result makes me laugh as I expected it to be drier and darker than it is. I feel like a willie wonka character! ( Violet?)

...Black Annis' perfume is a mixture of damp cave lichen and oak leaf with a hint of vetiver, civet and anise. dark dank earth, not dirt, but earth, followed by the annis. The licorish smell is amazing and so much more than licorish candy though, so don't let it put you off in the description. While I find this pleasant on me, I would likely DEVOUR a man wearing it! It quickly becomes dry and earthy and smokey with a peppery bite. This is the first civet blend I have tried that didn't smell like cat pee! Mysterious and dark and DRY!

bitter sharp wet, like grapefruit and fresh granny smith apples. Sadly the grapefruit never leaves It's an oriental grapefruit, and a strong bitter one. I can tell there are other soft green notes that want to come out to play, but... Back to the swap pile with you!! Edit to add, this would be a great uplifting room scent....

Wet, fruit and some sort of green aromatic, eucalyptus or cyprus or something. The fruity note in this is much like that of wolf moon! deep and berrylike. I don't know what this smell is but I find it in alot of the moon blends and it gets stronger and stronger on me. The green sharpness prevents the fruit from doing this in this one though, and I feel it is a tad more balanced. It stays pretty true to the original scent as it dries. I would reccommend this one to those who love wolf moon and are sad that it is gone as an LE

fresh out of the bottle, baby powder, lemon verbena and sweetgrass. This is brighter than any of the other voodoo blends I have tried. The baby powder smell is like that of love me or all night long, but the grass and verbena scents lift it considerably. It also has a warm creamy base, I think it is the palmarosa? So far, like the other voodoo scents, this is NOT the smell I would seek for perfume but if it fits it's intent i could quite comfortably wear it on days that I need an extra push I still wish I could identify the baby powder note.... I would now hazard a guess that some voodoo proiestess somewhere is laughing and saying, why do you think we scent baby powder with voodoo oils??? To protect the bebe!! Funny spin for me on commercial smells and their possible origin.... I will likely swap this one.

This is the first of the voodoo blends that I did not have the urge to wash off. Before this I found them to all have an odd off putting herbal note. Dove's heart was all watery softness and floral comfort, not smothering or cloying but soft and gentle. It starts of a bit herbal clean and floral and finished with a lavender base. As a perfume it's okay and would be appropriate for church or visiting new babies . As for it's intent? I found it very calming and soothing. I will keep this blend for harsh days ahead. I might even order a larger bottle as a room scent . I have some really hard days ahead....

Soft, sweet clean green and juicy! I'm not sure of the ingredients but I swear i smell a bit of coriander under the juicy sweetness. This one is nice, and if it's intent is realized in it's use, it is awesome!. If not? It smells like I just washed with expensive botique soap and i am very clean

I wish I had enjoyed this blend as it's purpose would have served me well. WoND out of the bottle just smelled wet, a slight floral scent hovered in the background, but mainly it smelled of sweet water. OIn I could smell what I think was violet, but then behind it came that same odd herbal decay kind of scent that I have gotten from many other of the voodoo blends. I could tolerate it, but it was NOT a plesant smell to me and thus it was not soothing or uplifting. As opposed to Black broom blends which ARE, I understand, blended to have magikal properties, are these voodoo oils imbued with the same if used with the proper intent? Hopefully this one will find a new love in it's new home. On a positive note, Doves heart did NOT go odd on me, That is my next review

Totally different than I expected but liking this one is a no brainer! It is warm and a tiny bit fruity firts on, but it is a light fruit not a heavy sweet one( prickly pear?) On, again warm and sweet with a touch of a herb smell, quite green and soft but warm which I don't usually associate with the herbal blends. Dry it morphs just enough to settle into the skin It no longer screams out anything but soft sweet skin : ah this is really nice! I think of it as a warm weather scent, it has goos lasting power but almost no throw. Beautiful, just beautiful!!
