When I opened the imp, I thought it was unremarkable; just a standard perfume or cologne, but woah did that change! For awhile it turned all lavender, quite nice, but not what I was expecting. But THEN it turned into this soft delicious leather-wood scent that is exactly the scent of the character I bought this to inspire. It is sensuous in the extreme, like making love in a library, or with a man who works closely with books. I agree that it is masculine, but not unwearably so. I like it on me, but I think it's turning me on too much! ETA: Just a drop or two on a coat sleve is heavenly for days. My #1 favorite! May it never be dicontinued!

When I first opened the imp my inital impression was strong vanilla ice cream with cherry syrup. A little too sweet and overpowering. Now it's gotten so much nicer! Whatever that cherry thing was, it's gone now. It's turning into a soft candlelit honey vanilla good enough to eat. It's sexy for sure, but more innocent than I thought it would be- reminiscent of a virgin bride's wedding night, rather than a practiced courtesan's seduction. It's quite inspiring!

Breezy white flowers. Quite pure and innocent. It's one of those floaty white summer dresses in a bottle. It lasted well, but it isn't strong to begin with, so I had to concentrate to smell it. A very pretty summer scent.

This one smells exactly like a metaphysical or magic shop. It's a warm and dry scent, very nice for this time of year. I didn't smell rose, just sandalwood and amber. It gave me a slight headache when I put it on, but it went away quickly. When I wore it yesterday it didn't bother me at all. The most amazing thing about it is how it lasts! I swiped it once across my wrists and neck and it literally lasted all day. I'd definitely get another imp of this one.

In the bottle Psyche smelled like pure, fresh lavender. Lavender's one of my favorite florals, and I've never smelled a nicer one. On it was a lovely blend of lavender and rose, with a undertone of something deeper. I got this to invoke a specific muse of mine, and it's suits her perfectly. Serious and strong, but very feminine and romantic. It didn't last as long as the others I've tried. I know I'll have to get more of this one for sure!

When I put this on it seemed very familiar. Then I realized what it was- black Necco wafers! They smell exactly like this. Now that it's been on a bit it smells like black Necco wafers with a soft minty undertone. It's actually quite pleasant, and nothing at all like any perfume I smelled before. I'm not in lust with it, but it'll be nice when I want something different.

It is definitely like Yankee Candle's Storm Watch! I was just thinking that would make a great perfume, and here it is. It's reminiscent of a summer evening beach and perhaps white flowers on me. Very clean and pure; it lacks the 'danger' of Jolly Roger. I haven't had it on very long, but it seems to be lasting well for the amount I put on. It's very pretty and light. It would make a super summer perfume.

This is my first review, so hopefully I can do this correctly! I just got my ebay lot of Imps today. (Along with my first C 'N S.) And the two I was most anxious to try were Jolly Roger and Tempest, as I just love ocean and water scents. I like this a whole lot. It smells like Cape Cod on a windy day, with a bit of a bite. It's definitely unisex, I like the way it smells on me, but I imagine it would be lucious on a man. It's like Escape, only darker and more 'adventurous', if that makes any sense. It's got a definite rougish quality. A perfect adventurer's scent!(or adventuress!) I'll definitely consider a full size bottle! ETA. It's also very strong on me! I only used a tiny drop on my wrist, and I can still smell it without effort hours later.
