  1. Bottle: first blast: sugar and cream. Deeper inhale: APPLE!

Wet on Me: sugar vanilla cream over apples.

Drying Down: less sugar and cream now…mostly tart apple.

Dry: apple has mellowed a bit and now I smell the passionfruit(YUM) and the tonka and the taunting tease of carnation. Such a happy scent…for a happy forum!

  2.

Bottle: grapefruit, ginger, jasmine and the green tea

Wet on Me: ginger, grapefruit, honeysuckle, tea and fabulous

Drying Down: the ginger and wisteria are really trying to take everything over and the grapefruit and jasmine and green tea seem to be cowering in fear of them.

Dry: aaahhhh the takeover was averted and now I get jasmine, and neroli and honeysuckle but the grapefruit went away. But this is a haunted scent. It’s haunted by something un-nameable but no less lovely.

  3.

Bottle: Smut 08 is sweet boozy musk

Wet on Me: The color is dark..the color of a booze..a sweet booze. A Man’s booze.

Drying Down: This is strong but not overpowering. But it sure let’s you know its there. I get more musk now. Why do I get a total speakeasy vibe out of this. Or a slightly tipsy nooner vibe?

Dry: This is still a boozy nooner and it is total love. It’s sex in the backseat after a drunken party…it’s fabulous!

  4.

Bottle: ozone. Totally get the crisp wind

Wet on Me: Wind and the wood is rising beneath it.

Drying Down: Wind and ozone and wood..but not a piney wood..a drier wood and the smoke.

Dry: ‘almost’ masculine. This is a dry crisp windy fall evening with a bonfire ritual in the woods. This is just calling to the autumn witch in me.

  5.

    Bottle: astringent herbs. Sharp

Wet on Me: still astringent herbs and sharp with a faint spiciness and whispers of green

Drying Down: less astringent, less sharp still faint green and spiciness/dragon’s blood and now incense joins the circle.

Dry: the sharp has all mellowed…everything blended nicely, a little of this and a little of that and all playing together in harmony on the playground of musk. So glad I got this!

  6.

    Decant: mmmmberry and cognac

Wet on Me: now I get cream added to the berry and cognac

Drying Down: creamy berry leather. And heck I even smell brown paper bag!

Dry: wow..thisis a sweet creamy berry scent that I just LOVE. The leather and cognac keep it from being a total foodie over sweet thing for me. This is Hef in a smoking jacket whilst surrounded by Playmates. Suave, Debonaire, but a total gentleman and playboy with the cute of the playmates thrown in. Man, am I glad I got to try this!

  7. Imp: Fruity, green and wet!
Wet on Me: now more green then fruity..and wet!
    Getting some banana!
Drying down: this is fruit and flowers and green
    and wet and oooooo lovely
Dry: Less green now, but still wet fruit and flowers.
    Total summery scent.

  8.

Imp: Flowers and something…dark and not flowers.

    Civet maybe?

Wet on Me: mmm miris and orris…with faint sage traces….

Drying Down: the floral all blends and it’s soft with

    a powdery base note

Dry: This gets very faint, very quick. Then it’s just a ghost

of light floral powder that haunts your nose if it gets too close. Not bad.

  9.

    Decant: I get the flowers.

Wet on Me: I get the flowers and light berries and

    leather…mmmmmm

Drying Down: Mostly still the flowers with leather under it.

So far no amber or honey overpowering anything.

Dry: flowers and leather…hot dayum this is nose to

    wrist worthy! Keeper!

  10.

Imp: mostly the nutmeg and poppy with slight

    underhaunts of sassafras

Wet on Me: the nutmeg and sassafras are strong now.

Drying Down: Woody. Very woody mostly now.

Dry: the nutmeg and sassafras have disappeared into

the shadows and it is mostly woody vibe with the black

    poppy underneath. Not bad.

  11.

    Decant: Violet! And Orchid!

Wet on me: Still violet and Orchid, but also the iris is wanting to say Oh Hai!

Drying Down: this thing throws HARD from the get go. If I move my arm it wafts EVERYWHERE!

Dry: Mostly Violet and Orchid with some of the Iris and YlangYlang all doing a dosey-do hoedown on my arm…to the strains of a faint amber baby powder fiddle in the background. I guess Frankincense never got the invite to this party. I am glad I got to try it but I might re-home it. Serious heavy purple floral

  12.

    Imp: TEA! Tea squee!

Wet on Me: Loving the tea scents. No leather yet

Drying Down: Lovely tea with faint leather undertones.

Refined and understated but quietly waiting

Dry: This makes me feel like I’m having tea with

Saetan Daemon SaDiablo from the Blood Jewels series of books. T

his is a comfort scent. I could curl up with this, a soft blanket, a good book,

some Ocean Machine and tea on a rainy day. TO KEEP!

  13.

Imp: very heavy. Neroli and Oleander which I have not

    smelled since the Miami Years.

Wet on Me: Mostly the flowers and not the patchouli so far.

Just the Oleander and Neroli with the YlangYlang wanting to play along

Drying Down: Still heavy flowers. It smells like old heavy flowers.

Dry: flowery powder. Or powdery flowers…to re-home

  14. The Dark Side of Earth: deep, brooding forest scents, including juniper and patchouli. The scent of upturned cemetery loam mingling with floral offerings to the dead.

    Imp: Soil and pine-sol
Wet on Me: Total soil and pine..but stale soil that has
turned and heavy heavy pine sap
Drying Down: now the patchouli begins to join the group,
taking some of the piney sap notes down to a dull whisper
and pushing the sour/stale soil smell away but bringing up
a wood note in the mix.
Dry: Wood mostly now. Pale whiffs of patchouli and the juniper.
The soil took a hike and that is a good thing in this case. I like.

  15.

    Imp: Mint over grapefruit

Wet on Me: Mint over aquatic green

Drying Down: aquatic mint over lotus. Very faint.

Dry: less mint now. Pale whispers of the white champagne

dancing around the lotus and aquatic blooms all blending

    together. Very delicate and ethereal.

  16.

Imp: aquatic lilies with wood haunting the background

Wet on me: More wet lilies and now that slight off note

    of the dried leaves

Drying Down: wow…this fades out SUPER fast. Just this

light ghostly blend teasing my nose.

Dry: very faint. Your nose has to wrok at it to catch the

scent. Pale while lilies floating on the water is what I get.

No woods at all and the crushed leaves are gone. Quite nice. Keeping

  17.

Imp: wow..the pine hits the nose first..and the

    clove smoke as well.

Wet on Me: Pine, basil, clove and the cumin

believe it or not. Crossing fingers that

    “note-which-must-not-be-named” does not join

the party and ruin it for me.

Drying Down: So far so good….the musk is

faint..and despite the name and description this

    is not unpleasant so far.

Dry: I think this so far is the only scent with

vetiver in it that does not hate me. Altho now that

it has dried down..it has a medicinal band-aid

    scent to it. Weird-o-rama!

  18.

Imp: soft – yes, vanilla - yes, powdery – yes

Wet on Me: sweet and soft but not too sugar sweet.

Drying Down: definitely getting flashes of something

other than a sweet powder scent.

Dry: sweet powder. Nice but I think that re-homing it

    might be better

  19.

Decant: Peach wine and blood orange for sure.

Wet on me: Still lovely peach wine with that blood orange back up. I’m getting something under all that. Is it the Osmanthus or the Woodviolet or the tuberose…only time will tell

Drying Down: Seriously…Peach wine. It does not get better than this. I’m even getting a tad of the carnation in the background. I’m sooo loving this.

Dry: Wow. I still get the peach wine, wee shots of the blood orange, but now carnation has joined the hallelujah chorus along with the tuberose and theosmanthus. HALLELUJAH indeed!

  20. Bergamot and French lavender.

Decant: Lavender love. I might swoon
Wet on Me: Still Lavender Love. I am swooning.
Drying Down: Still in a lavender swoon. Bare hints and suggestions of bergamot below in an undercurrent. Loving this!
Dry: Oh me Oh MY! I’ve gotten the vapors. The lovely lavender vapors of Pontia. THIS is serious lavender love and a bottle MUST be obtained!

  21.

Imp: at first sniff…vetiver and dirt

Wet on me: more dirt and less of the evil vetiver

Drying Down; dirt, woody but that initial vetiver

vibe has gone away. Almost …ALMOST get a trace whiff

    of patchouli in this.

Dry: This seems to have dried out with a nice patchouli

vibe to it. None of that stale vetiver any more.

  22.

Imp: green and wood! So far so good!

Wet on Me: On me I love this Sam I am. I like it better than green eggs and ham!

Drying Down: I love wood. If I could I would live in the woods.

This smells like the woods. Like the trees on a late summer day.

There is even some green in there that wants to share!

Dry: this is the perfect scent for a forest loving earth mama like me.

It’s not any one tree or green scent..but the scent of standing in the middle

of a clearing in a forest all lush and pretty, just waiting for magick to happen.

Magick happened on my wrist with this one.

  23.

Imp: definitely a flower. Pretty but not overly sweet or powering

Wet on Me: still flower…but with a kind of powdery vibe to it.

Drying Down: this fades out very fast…like a hazy memory

Dry: went with the wind this did. Like a high you vaguely remember.

  24.

    Imp: woah….vetiver first.

Wet on Me: less vetiver and more…chrysanthemum? This is a first

Drying Down: the rose and veitiver overpowered the mum and

morphed into something I can’t quite relate to.

Dry: This one is just there. It’s not getting me excited but I am not

hating it. It’s just there. To re-home
