The Lab's description WINGS of AZRAEL Azrael is the Angel of Death, marked as the last being to die in the Apocalypse. Though a harbinger of doom, his duties are an act of mercy: he curtails human life before world-weariness and despair destroys our spirits. Warm myrrh swirled with a bittersweet blend of violet, Lily of the Valley, juniper, cypess and cajeput. In the imp: Wow, Juniper with a side of Juniper and a Juniper kicker.... And it's got this slightly medicinal edge.... methinks it's the combination of Cypress and Cajeput... This is worriesome Dabbed on fingers wet: medicinal Juniper, but only for about fifteen seconds Drydown: Almost immediate with this one and WOW NOW THAT'S MORE LIKE IT!!!! A harmonious subtle mix of Lily of The Valley and Violet gently warmed by Myrrh. The Cypress and Juniper combine to give this one a tangy green basenote... LOVELY 10 minutes-and onward: The Lily of the Valley and Violet are becoming softer and feathery but not fading.... I love this scent it's staying basically true to the initial drydown which is lovely!!! Not fading but becoming a quiet dignified yet breezy presence, Thanks to the Juniper and Cypress Final thoughts: A complex yet soft floral that makes it's presence felt by saying the right things at the right time... Nothing more nothing less... Methinks having washed dishes before applying is to blame for the worriesome wet stage, but it faded almost immediately, and I'm decidedly in love!!!! -Miriam

In the Imp: Lavender, lots of it, and it's acting like Eucalyptus. Wet, swiped on my wrist: Whoa not much morphing here... The Lavender is still acting like Eucalyptus but I smell the Honeysuckle as a modest midground. No Jasmine yet. Plenty of Throw on the Lavender, none on the Honeysuckle... 10 minutes-drydown: Honeysuckle asserts itself, Lavender retreating to the backgroud to serve as an interesting herbacious base note, but, where's the Jasmine? 20 minutes- I had to stay with this one, it's interesting... And it's clearing my sinuses... There's the Jasmine it's joined up with the Honeysuckle to make this seductively sweet floral top note, but, the Lavender, still not acting like itself, refuses to sit down and shut up.... I like that, it lends the scent an herbal coolness and complexity, when it might have otherwise ended up cloyingly sweet. 35 minutes- The Lavender is finally beginning to act like it normally does on me, and turning soft and talcy with just a little bit of kick. The Honeysuckle and Jasmine aren't throwing on me like they usually do (this is a very good thing). This fragrance is subtle... Pleasantly so, I'm very glad that I won't be invading anyone's space with a cloud of floral scent. There's just enough throw in this blend to envelope my immediate personal space, but it's interesting and herbal enough to get noticed if someone happens to get close enough to smell it... Final thoughts: I really like this blend, it's complex enough for me to need to get to know it better... It's a very clean floral scent, very much like a windy early spring twilight... The scent of newly blooming flowers carried by a strong wind prickly with the last chills of winter... A lovely scent, and dead on.... Another hit for Elizabeth and company. ETA: A word to the wise, apply this fragrance sparingly, for those whose skin loves to grab on to honeysuckle with a deathgrip, you won't be disappointed in this one, it will last for days, you will not be able to wash it off. Activity (even light activity) amps up the throw on this one, so if your going to clean, wash dishes, run errands be prepared for people to smell you coming. I still like the complexity of it though, and I will wear it again when I'm perhaps slightly less pissed, and therefore have a lower blood pressure and skin temp.

I love this scent ... In the imp: incence! Strong incense with miles of throw (myrrh?) Cinnamon, Cardamom, Nutmeg, woods.... Swiped on my wrist wet: This was unexpected, but a very cool slightly wet, pine... With a midground of something floral..... Carnation? that's not possible in an ancient Middle Eastern blend....And the incense again Myrrh? Cinnamon, nutmeg 10 minutes- drydown... The carnation comes to the foreground, I love this stage, but it's already fading to pure spiced pine.... Doesn't matter though because I love the coolness of pine with the underpinning of warm spices.... Perfect for a freezing day like today.... I smell some woods too... I'm so in love with this blend I can't stop sniffing myself........ This isn't fading in the least, but the throw has calmed down just enough to keep my nose glued to my wrist.... -Miriam ETA: I finally figured out what that slightly marine piney note was! It's Sage and Thyme playing together... With a little Rosemary thrown in perhaps.... ETA2:(9:01 PM) I am indeed an idiot! I just re-applied this luxurious scent and then it hit me..... GARDENIA!!!!! But I say again Beth is a genius, because the spices and herbs are still there, and I still get that minty cool "Pine" feeling... Damn this is fabulous!
