This is what a babies room should smell like. This is so soft and sweet and innocent. Like French violet candies and vanilla with just a soft hint of clean fresh laundry right out of the dryer. It's not as vanilla as Hope and Faith, it's more the violet candy smell I am getting. This is not a strong smelling floral at all, it is very soft and faint. It fades out lavender talcum powder with a hint of faded tea rose. Yep, a babies room all the way (minus the poopy diapers thank goodness ).

Whoa, this smells a lot like Embalming Fluid. But with a lime instead of lemon. No wait, I think it is bergamot. I do detect that chloraphil/aloe plant smell but this is mosly citrusy to me. After it sits on my skin for a while a very soft white flowers comes out. I want to say this smells like Mums or lilies. It's very similar to the flowers in House of Night. So to me this is Embalming Fluid + House of Night. Very soft and pretty!

When I was little my Grandmother used to use this shampoo that was called 'Mountain Fresh Forrest' or something like that. I swear this smells just like it! It doesn't smell as much like trees, but more so like 'spring fresh' scented things. There is something sort of aquatic about it as well so I agree with the wet TP comment above, lol. As this fades this smells JUST LIKE Mr. Bubble bubble bath on me, the powder kind in the box, hehehhe.

Wooo this is super dooper apple-y! I agree this is a lot like Creepy but without the coconut. On my skin it warms up and becomes sweet caramel apples. This one has great staying power and wafts caramel for hours. Another Halloween winner!

Wow! Vanilla cake frosting? There is something else though I can't put my finger on, something sort of ozoney like in Antique Lace? As it fades it becomes vanilla sugar like in Sugar Skull. Yummy!

This is such a unique smell. At first sniff I get the sweet egg sushi smell. Then it is a rush of a childhood memory of Halloween. Like candy and Halloween make up and carved pumpkins all rolled up into one. As it sits on my skin I am getting the smell of a freshly carved pumpkin with a waxy candle inside. It stays waxy pumpkin til it fades on me. I love it!

Omg. Omg, omg, omg! This is the Bpal I have been dreaming of since I discovered Bpal. A dream come true. True pumpkin pie smell without any fruit and not too buttery. For any of you who read my reviews, pumpkin is my favorite note (I call myself the 'Pumpkin Queen' and for good reason. I am obsessed with pumpkins. The taste, the smell, everything. I have jack o' lanterns tattood all over me and pumpkins all over my house. My hair is dyed 'pumpkin' orange and I have a pumpkin orange PT Cruiser I call the 'Pumpkin-mobile'. Obsessed? You betcha) and a true pumpkin pie scent minus any fruit or too much butter is my dream scent. Well kids, this it it. Jack was good but too peachy and too much butter. Pumpkin Queen was nice but too fruity. As was Pumpkin Patch #5 2007. (Too much orange/neroli). THIS on the other hand is true Pumpkin pie. Not too much butter, NO extra fruit. Just the pie, crust and all. I have died and gone to heaven and require at least 5 more bottles of this, lol. This is my new holy grail of all holy grails. I put this on around 6pm and it was wafting strong on me well until 3pm the next day. Talk about staying power! The cheesecake note in this is the same as Beaver Moon. In fact this is just like Beaver Moon, just with pumpkin spice instead of what ever fruit was in BM. This is pumpkin perfection!

Right out of the bottle this has the same exact crisp and bitter dead leaf smell as Death of Autumn but stronger. I admit at first it was a sharp shock of something that also reminded me of the mens cologne department at Macys as others have mentioned. Once on my skin it warms up and mellows out after 10 minutes or so. Now I am getting smoke with a whisper of the bitter dead leaf smell. Smoke always tends to go powdery on me so now it is 'dead leaves with smoke and baby powder and mens cologne' smell to me as it fades.

Ooh la la. At first sniff this is all warm and cozy pumpkin. There is maybe a weee baby hint of butter in there but it is well behaved. The pumpkin note sticks around for a long time but after about 20 minutes I am getting a hint of the carnation. It's very sweet and almost candy smelling, almost like sweet tarts. I'm not getting any of the tobacco which I am happy about because tobacco blends usually set off headaches on me. To me this is mostly warm pumpkin + carnation that smells like sweet tarts. After an hours it fades out and I am getting a vanillaish hint of the tonka left on my skin. Gorgeous and super girly!

Right out of the bottle this is pure pumpkin. It's not a buttery pumpkin, it's more like I just opened a can of Libbys pumpkin puree, the raw kind with no spices. Once on my skin I am getting a green wet scent coming out that smells like a wet aloe vera plant, or sorta like cucumber. I bet this is the cactus talking. After 15 minutes or so the pumpkin and the cactus have mixed together and mellowed and the sage is peeking through. It's not a musty sage, it's very sweet and it blends perfectly with the raw pumpkin and cactus. Conclusion? Pumpkin 4 smells like a refreshing wet veggie garden to me. Almost like a salad. It is a very unique Bpal scent and unlike anything else I have sniffed. It's very clean and refreshing.

First sniff out of the bottle this is cherry and plum candy. On my skin the cherry candy quicky fades away and it becomes all rose and warm honey. Because of the honey it is not that sharp and soapy single note rose would be and there for more tolerable to my rose-a-phobic nose. As it dries down I can smell a bit of the carnation coming out, but it is mixed with the rose note which is dominate. Conclusion? If you like Alice you will like this. I'm not a fan of rose so this is not for me, but it is a lovely blend.

Right out of the bottle this smells like neapolitan ice cream. I smell a mish mash of chocolate, vanilla and the cherry. The cherry in this is really mild though and fades almost right away. After about 15 minutes I am getting a little bit of a warm tingle on my wrist and a warm spicy sent comes through. This would be the cardamom which many others were confusing for cinnamon, and wooo baby, it is FABULOUS. It is such a lovely spicy scent. It is a lot sweeter than cinnamon. To me cardamon smells like if you mixed cinnamon in some hot caramel. So imagine that smell mixed with the chocolate/vanilla base this is fading into a wonderful spice cake a la mode scent. Yummy!

Wow! Aries is like no other Bpal I have smelled before. And what a morpher! Out of the bottle it is like POW A very strong musty black pepper. As I slather it on my hand it is a strong slap in the face of gritty strong black pepper just like if you grind up black pepper corns, but also a slight tang of sweet honeysuckle. I get no ginger from this at all, but probably because it is blended so well with the pepper. (And that ginger smell all you ginger haters hate so much? It's my favorite note. I had my hopes up that this would be Saw Scaled Vipery, but it wasn't to my nose at all.) The honeysuckle goes away on me almost as soon as I notice it, and becomes something like the smell of rubber or latex clothing. (Erm...which I really like the smell of ) The pepper/rubber smell sticks for a long time. (Muhahahaha!) After about an hour all of a sudden I realized I could smell something very incensey, so sniffed my Aries hand again and low and behold, it had morphed into a gorgeous true dragons blood resin scent. Yummy! Aries, I like you a lot. In fact I think I need another bottle of you because once you are gone I will miss your rubber and black pepperness muchly. ETA- I wore this again today and for some reason it smelled totally different than it did when I reviewed it last night. Today it was all honeysuckle and a little dragons blood but with no pepper or ginger. Very strange indee ETA again- Wore it again two days later and it is still all honeysuckle. I think I must have used up all the yummy black pepper/ginger spicyness on the first day I wore this because now it is just a floral on me.

Right out of the bottle- Mmmmmmminty! Green Tree Viper is Minty McMinypants. On my skin- Strong spearmint. It smells just like a fresh spearmint plant on a rainy day as opposed to say, minty gum. As it fades the spearmint fades and the Bergamot and spices of the Snake Oil slither out. Bergamot = lime to my nose so this scent is bright green indeed! As it fades it becomes a cup of mint spice tea. With a twist of lime and a tiny bit of cream. Delish!

Straight out of the bottle this smells like nail polish remover/acetone to me. Once on my skin I smell something bitter/citrus like orange rinds soaked in nail polish remover. I adore carnation but the orange rind scent I am getting is overpowering this blend on me and I'm not smelling anything carnation like. As it dries down the Iris comes out and smells a lot like a perfume one of my Grandmothers used to wear...which is lovely but not for me.

Out of the bottle this is all sweet myrrh. On my skin the smoke comes out and mingles with the myrrh and then 10 seconds later my skin chemistry takes over and turns it into pure baby powder. I didn't get any cinnamon out of it at all- just the sweet myrrh, (which is gorgeous) smoke and baby powder. Boooo for my skin chemistry ruining it for me.

OMG EVIL GINGERSNAPS. *This* is exactly what I thought Shub Niggurth was going to smell like. Shub ended up being mostly lemon on me, much to my disappointment. I never got the ginger snappy cookies out of it that everyone else did. But THIS yummy serpentine concoction smells just like teh eeeevil spicy gingersnaps. Just like them, but spicier if you can imagine it. I think I need at least 5456342 more bottles. *huffs spicy goodness on my arm*

First sniff out of the bottle and this is a very sharp rosey incense. Once on my skin the resins come out, as well as something really musky. After a few minutes I smell the current which sweetens it up a bit, but it is still mostly incense to my nose. Being a foody scent lover I'm hoping the 'soul cakes' part of this makes its way out soon because that is what attracted me to getting this. After 20 minutes I'm still not detecting anything buttery or foody in this at all, just currents and a musky rose incense. 30 minutes later it is fading into powdery soap on me as does anything with rose in it. Sorry All Souls, you and I were just not meant to be.

Oh yummy! This is really foody! The first thing I get from this is gingered honeydew melon. I know there is no melon listed as being in it, maybe it is the aloe I smell? After a few minutes this morphs into something I can only describe as 'Shub Light'. It's like the perfume Shub Niggurth's cute little sister wears that smells like ginger candy melon pie. Omg, I am in love!

My skin chemistry is doing a number on this one. I'm not getting any of the amber, vanilla, honeycomb, ylang ylang or carnation. On me this is all daisy, sunflower and heliotrope. It's a bitter floral. I'm really baffled because amber and carnation are some of my favorite notes, which usually are dominate on me. I'm sad. I really wanted to like this but it just was not meant to be.

Wow! Baghdad is nothing like what I was expecting. I was thinking this was going to be a more musty/musky floral but surprise, surprise, it is a dead ringer for my beloved Gypsy Queen! This first thing I smell is the yummy blend of the amber and bergamot. After a few minutes I smell the nutmeg. This is much spicier than GQ, but it is not a in your face spicy like cinnamon (I'm not smelling cinnamon at all) but a softer more mild powdery spicy. I never detected the rose in this. The notes all blend so beautifully that no single note jumps out at you. As it dries the fruit notes fade and the sandalwood comes out to make it fade out gracefully. Summery- Baghdad is now one of my all time favorites. It's a spicier Gypsy Queen minus the carnation. Absolutely gorgeous.

First sniff from the bottle- OMG...Holy sweet vanilla, Batman!! This smells just like Cotton Candy! After 20 minutes- At first sniff this is pure cotton candy. Then it settles into a soft sweet sugar. It's not at all buttery, it's more like the smell of a candy shop....and vanilla cake...and a big pink fluffy cotton candy! I keep thinking that Willie Wonka's candy factory would smell just like this! Summery- Midway seriously makes me want to sing and dance. Like little kids do in the grocery store when they know they are getting their favorite cereal, cake or cookies. I want to dump it on my head and roll around in it. It's that good. Being a vanilla/spicy foody scent lover, I'd say this and Gingerbread Poppet are the holy grail of foody scents. Midway = vanilla cake and cotton candy, Gingerbread Poppet = hot gingerbread and cinnamon buns fresh out of the over. I am soooooo glad I got two bottles of this. They will be horded like mad!

First sniff from the bottle- Oh my goodness! This is divine! It smells just like sweet banana laffy taffy candy! After 20 minutes- OMGWTFBBQ!!?! What took me so long to try this out? This is absolutely freakin' fantastic! It smells like banana candy and some other tropical fruit like star fruit or mango. It reminds me of what tropical trail mix smells like right out of the bag. There is a distinct 'green' smell in the background as well as a faint coconut scent. Summery- I *must* get a 10ml pronto. This is now going on my top 10 all time favorite BPAL scents!

First sniff from the bottle- Amber and patchouli maybe? After 20 minutes- Warm spiced amber with an earthy patchouli undertone (the Arabian musk maybe?). I can actually feel this warm up where it is on my skin. This has the same vanilla in it as Snake Oil which didn't agree with me, but this is so well blended with all the other fabulous ingredients that this is distinctively different and much more exotic. I am not getting any plum in this, but I do detect a slight hint of black coconut. This is not the same coconut as in Spooky, this is a deep dark black toasted coconut. All in all this is fantastic! Summery- On me, Snake Charmer is dominantly a dark spiced amber with a deep earthy-musky undertone and slight black coconut note at dry down. Definitely a winner.

First sniff from the bottle- Woh! A floral explosion. After 20 minutes- At first this smelled like a department store floral perfume on me. It was a mish mash of strong flowers and smelled similar to Mata Hari to me. Then the vanilla started to come through and turned it all into baby powder. Summery- I had hoped I would get the 'Antique Lace' effect from this that other people said they got from it but alas...florals do not agree with my chemistry. This was all department store floral that faded to baby powder on me.
