First sniff from the bottle- A faint marshmallow smell. After 10 minutes- Hmm..this is very faint on me. It smells like a cross between marshmallows and a nice clean fabric softener. The marshmallow scent is dominant, though faint. This sort of reminds me of the way the vanilla scented Hello Kitty stuff smells. After 30 minutes- The marshmallow has faded and the clean/fabric softener scent has come out more. It almost has a slight marmalade smell to it. Like soft faded creamsicles. Summery- This was not very strong on me, but I would love this as a room scent or (of coarse) to scent my laundry with ETA- I wore this again today and it was very strong and lasted all day long! It also smelled more like marshmallows than anything else. Yummy!

First sniff from the bottle- Smoky warm spices and booze After 10 minutes- This smells like a cross between Wanda and Centzon Totochtin. It has the booze, blood and myrrh smell of CT with the leather bite of Wanda. After 30 minutes- I can still smell the tobacco smoke and the myrrh but everything else has faded down on me. Summery- I really like this one because it is so much like my beloved Centzon Totochtin. I like CT much better but the imp is a keeper.

First sniff from the bottle- Vicks Vaporub. After 10 minutes- Vicks Vaporub. After 30 minutes- Vicks Vaporub and Pine O Pine floor cleaner. Summery- This would be great to rub on my chest if I were sick, other than that I don't want to smell like Vaporub and Pine floor cleaner.

First sniff from the bottle- Coconut. After 10 minutes- Wow, this really does conjure up visions of pirates! This smells exactly like the Ocean and coconuts! To me this smells just like a day at the beach wearing that coconut smelling sun block. (Coppertone I think). I can almost taste the salt at the back of my throat. After 30 minutes- Now something sweeter is coming out making this smell like a tropical drink. Summery- Black Pearl is the perfect beach scent. Seeing that I am not fond of the beach or coconut I don't think I will buy a big bottle of this. I did have fun smelling it though!

First sniff from the bottle- A smoky saloon with cedar wood floor and walls! After 10 minutes- Wow, this does smell like the old west! Tombstone smells like my Great Uncles vanilla pipe tobacco mixed with the smell of my Great Grandmothers old cedar floor house in Texas. There is a hint of cigarette and Bourbon in this too. Hee Haw! After 30 minutes- The Vanilla pipe tobacco and cedar smell is still going strong. All I can think of now is that old house filled with cowboys smoking and drinking. Summery- I like this one a lot but I don't think I will order a big bottle. The imp will be enough to last me for a while.

First sniff from the bottle- Sandlewood powder. After 10 minutes-Sandalwood is the dominate scent here for sure but there is something powdery and floral blended in it too. I am thinking maybe cocoa and violet? I think I smell a hint of amber in this too. After 30 minutes- It is still sweet sandalwood but the flowery bit is turning powdery on me. It is very soft and faint. Summery- Like the other Egyptian blends this would make a perfect meditation oil. It is very calming.

First sniff from the bottle- Warm spicy resins. After 10 minutes- This smells like Egyptian temple incense. I smell a beautiful blend of Frankincense, Myrrh, Amber, clove, nutmeg and something very herbal. Wow. This is really nice and calming. After 30 minutes- I love this! As it dries it smells very similar to how Eclipse smells as it fades. There must be heliotrope in this too. I also pick up something sweet and vanilla like. Maybe tonka? Summery- Khephra was a fantastic surprise! I bought the imp randomly, not expecting to really like it. I need a big bottle for sure!

First sniff from the bottle- Green and minty! After 10 minutes- This is making my hand all tingley! I just love the mint in this one, which is dominant. There is a sharp perfumy smell in the background that must be the moss and ambergris. For some reason this smells like a cross between mint, lime and olive juice on me. After 30 minutes- Minty olive juice. It must be the moss that makes me think 'olives'. Summery- I love the mintyness of Cathode but this is too masculine for my taste.

First sniff from the bottle- Vanilla baby powder After 10 minutes- Vanilla, vanilla, baby powder. After 30 minutes- Baby powder. Summery- Hmm..this one didn't really do anything for me. It is pretty, but too powdery for my taste.

First sniff from the bottle- This smells familiar...like a school or a doctors office. It is not a bad smell, not at all medicinal...more like cherry scented sanitizer? After 10 minutes- Ok, this does not smell at all like I thought it would. It is very sweet, like cherry cough syrup. Cinnamon and clove are my favorites but I can't smell them in this at all. I do however smell the black pepper, which is just plain weird mixed with the Dragons Blood. After 30 minutes- Ok, now I can smell the spices. That's better. It took a while for them to come out. Summery- Bummer. I though for sure I would love this one seeing that I love all the ingredients in it. It is way to cherry syrup sweet for my taste. Off to swaps it goes.

First sniff from the bottle- Deep dark cocoa and a tinge of wine After 10 minutes- The cocoa in still very strong in this. I am also detecting bitter coffee and the rum. There is something else in this I can smell...I think it is the Dragons Blood. After 30 minutes- Soft whispers of Cocoa and Dragons Blood. I just wish this phase was a lot stronger, yummy! Summery- I ordered a 5ml of this unsniffed. I am glad I did because I love this one. ETA- I have been wearing Centzon Totochtin all week and I am absolutely in love with it. This is by far one of my favorite BPAL scents of all time.

First sniff from the bottle- Spiced tea and roses After 10 minutes- I don't know what it is about milk based scents but they disappear on my skin after a few minutes. This smelled of spiced tea and roses for about 60 seconds and then- POOF, gone. Down the rabbit hole! After 30 minutes- Nada. My skin soaked Alice up and there is nothing there. Summery Alice, you and are were not meant to be friends. Off with your head!

First sniff from the bottle- Spicy tart fruit! After 10 minutes- This smells like a spiced apricot or peach cobbler. If I added a bit of Gingerbread Poppet or Three Witches into this it would smell just like a pumpkin pie! After 30 minutes- This is very similar to Jack, just without the butter. In fact, this is exactly what I thought Jack would smell like. I love it!! Summery- I am gushing with excitement that I found another BPAL I love! Yea!!

First sniff from the bottle- OMG BROWNIES!!! After 10 minutes- OMG TEH YUMMY BROWNIES!! After 30 minutes- HOT CHEWY BROWNIES FRESH FROM THE OVEN!!! Summery- How on earth did Beth bottle brownie smell?

I ordered a 5ml of this unsniffed last week. Based on the description it sounds yummy! I was able to get an imp of it to try today. Yea! First sniff from the bottle- Lemon? After 10 minutes- Hmmm. This is NOT creamy on me. So far all I smell is lemon tea. After 30 minutes- Well, rats. This one did the magic disappearing act on me. After 10 minutes, POOF- gone. Summery- Sudha Segara smells faintly of lemon tea to me. I did not pick up any cream or ginger notes at all. I really wish I had waited to sniff this before I plunged and ordered a 5ml. Oh well, I am sure I can swap it for something else when it gets here.

First sniff from the bottle- Frankincense and Myrrh. After 10 minutes- Now the florals are coming trough and over powering the resins. There must be rose in this because now that is all I can smell. After 30 minutes- I am really sad that I can't smell any of the resins in this anymore. After a few minutes this has turned to nothing but rose on me. Summery- Rose and I are not friends. Off to swaps!

First sniff from the bottle- Rose After 10 minutes- This is a softer rose blend. It is a lot less harsh on me than most florals. This actually smells like a big fresh pink rose. After 30 minutes- The jasmine has come now and this is turning into that horrible 'perfume department at Macys' smell that I can't stand. Summery- No go. Florals just don't work on me.

First sniff from the bottle- Orange! I love orange, this is fantastic wet. It smells like creamsicles with honey. After 10 minutes- The orange has faded a bit and now it just smells like honey. After 30 minutes- The sandalwood has come out now which is nice. But there is a sharp pungent scent mixed in with it.. like sandalwood, play doh and baby powder mixed together. My skin always does that to honey blends. Summery- I liked the wet orange stage of this one but the dry down smell was yuck on my skin. Not for me. Off to swaps!

First sniff from the bottle- Green and clean. After 10 minutes- This smells very similar to Macchu Piccu. Like awaphui shampoo....and kiwi...and green tea. After 30 minutes- I smell like I just took a shower. Kiwi is dominate in the one. Summery- Too fruity and green for me. Off to swaps!

First sniff from the bottle- Lavender After 10 minutes- Yuck. This smells like lavender and Old Spice mixed together. After 30 minutes- This is too sharp and sour for me. It does get better as it fades. The spice comes out more, and is quite nice, but I can’t get past the nose offending wet stage with this. Summery- This one gets swapped asap!

First sniff from the bottle- Dirty vanilla? After 10 minutes- This smells like Dana O' Shee minus the almond. It also has an, erm...'sex' smell to it if you know what I mean. After 30 minutes- Play Doh and sex. This has to be one of the strangest blends I have tried. I can't say that it is for me, but it is interesting to say the least. Summery- Well, O is sexy seeing that it smells like vanilla coated sex. I'm not sure I want to smell like that all day though. I think in the 'sexy' BPAL scent department I am more of a 'Wanda' kinda girl!

First sniff from the bottle- Bitter almonds. This smells just like Black Phoenix to me. After 10 minutes- Now the cinnamon, heliotrope and frankincense are coming through. Aahh, much better! Very bright and sunny indeed! After 30 minutes- At first I didn't like this, but now I love it! Once the almond phase dies down this is gorgeous! Heliotrope and cinnamon are so fantastic together. Summery- Eclipse is a pleasant surprise! I might need a big bottle of this one. Edited to say that I am absolutely in LOVE with Eclipse!! I have heard others say that a scent was 'second skin' on them. I never could relate to that but now I can! Once past the wet stage Eclipse smells like 'me'. I am so thrilled!

First sniff from the bottle- Powdery almonds After 10 minutes- This reminds me of the vanilla lotion my Mom wears. Dana is very soft and delicate. Creamy vanilla and honey with almonds. After 30 minutes- The cream is gone now. My skin amps up honey so all I am smelling now is honey almond. I would like this more if it were creamier on me. Once this is dry it smells like play doh to me. Not a problem because I like the play doh smell! Summery- Dana O' Shee is light, powdery and honey almond. I think this will be a great summer time scent for me.

First sniff from the bottle- This smells like berries! After 10 minutes- Yep, as the others have said this smells just like blackberry sage tea! It is really sweet and fruity. After 30 minutes- Once it dries down it smells just like a Strawberry Shortcake doll just as someone else mentioned! Summery This one is fun, but a bit too fruity for me. Off to swaps it goes.

First sniff from the bottle- Wood polish and fingernail polish remover. After 10 minutes- Huh. I smell mahogany but I just can't get over it smelling like acetone. This smell like a beauty salon to me. After 30 minutes- This is much better dry. Now it smells like cherry pipe tobacco. It still has a weird wood polish tinge to it, but the cherry tobacco scent is dominant. Summery- Not for me. Off to swaps!
