In the imp all I'm getting is lush roses. Too bad I don't care for the scent of rose or else this would be great. Once it hits my skin it turns to almost pure cinnamon, I really have to sniff to find the rose in this blend. Dry this immediately goes to rose and stays there. Not for me. Overall Rating 1 to 5 (5 being the best) - 1.3

This smells like strawberry milk to my nose. It's a very pink, very sweet, very creamy scent. I'm not getting any white chocolate from this blend, it's more of a smooth, cream or milk smell. I'm pleased that this hasn't morphed into something fake or plasticy smelling. A bottle purchase for sure, I can see myself wearing this quite a bit in the summer time.

This is a very dry, herbal scent. The dominant note is the wood followed closely by the embalming herbs. I'm not getting any floral elements out of this at all. Very light throw and medium staying power Overall Score 1-5 (5 being the best) 1.7

This is a masculine scent on my skin. It's an aquatic blend with the smell of rotting wood and sea spray. I keep catching whiffs of cedar (at least it smells like cedar to my nose) which is ruining this blend for me. I think I'll pass on this scent. Rating 1-5 (5 being the best) 1.7

A city of mystery, wonder and majesty, said to have been built by order of Gilgamesh. Thick bitter almond and heady night-blooming jasmine with saffron, cinnamon leaf, red patchouli, river lilies, bergamot, fig leaf and the sacred incense of Inanna. At first this starts off beautifully. The almond, jasmine, lily and fig are the predominant notes and go together really well. After about ten minutes something terrible happens and this begins to smell like sour plastic. I'll pass on this blend. Score 1-5 (5 being the best) 1.5

In the Imp Lots of mint, so far I'm not a fan. On My Skin Mint, mint, and more mint. This mint is really strong and there’s no hint of snake oil. After a Bit After the first hour our so this mint burns off and I’m left with Snake Oil. Lovely Snake oil but nothing else. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 4 Throw - 2 Longevity - 2 Overall (not an average) - 2.3 Final Thoughts I think I’ll pass on a bottle of this, I like what this blend becomes after the first hour, but I can just use Snake Oil.

In the Imp Candied violets. On My Skin Yum! This is still sweet violets, but it has a very fresh scent, like real violets. Maybe there’s a bit of tonka in this blend, it smells very smooth. After a Bit This is a beautiful blend! It’s very smooth and has lost that a bit of the sugary scent. Now I’m left with a sweeter version of real violets. Great! Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 3.7 Throw - 3 Longevity -3 Overall (not an average) - 3.5 Final Thoughts This is one of the blends that I’ll spring for a bottle.

In the Imp This is a creamy lemon blends with some flowers in the background. It smells wonderful in the imp. On My Skin This is a light, sweet lemon with some florals in the background the vanilla is just barely there making this a smooth scent. I’m not getting any black musk or opium smoke. So far I really like this blend. After a Bit The lemon is a light, sweet, smooth lemon rather than a tart, sour smell. The vanilla and coconut are barely detectable and seem to add a creamy element to the blend making a lemon custard type of scent. The florals in this blend are light and add complexity to the scent without becoming cloying or overpowering. I'm not getting any opium smoke or black musk from this. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 3.8 Throw - 3 Longevity - 2.5 Overall (not an average) - 3.4 Final Thoughts In the end I'm left with a sweet, creamy lemon custard scent with a touch of light florals. This is a very fresh scent that I think I'd wear frequently in the spring or summer time. I think I need to get a bottle.

In the Imp I can smell the ginger and cinnamon, but not the snake oil. There’s also something that smells a bit dusty in this blend. It sounds strange but I’m not sure what it is or how else to describe it. On My Skin The cinnamon in this blend is strong in a ‘Big Red’ gum sort of way. I’m getting hints of the snake oil, when I put my nose up to my wrist and sniff I can smell just a bit but it’s lovely. Hopefully this develops and comes out more. After a Bit For the first little while this isn’t very good at all. I really think the cassia ruins it. Then about an hour in it gets much better. The scent evolves into a smooth, spicy version of snake oil and looses that dust smell. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 2.5 Throw - 3.5 Longevity - 3 Overall (not an average) - 2.8 Final Thoughts This went through a weird stage at first, so I’m going to have to retest it. I really like what it morphs into though.

In the Imp Sandalwood, herbs and resins. On My Skin The sandalwood, myrrh and jasmine are lovely in this blend. They are combine to make this blend smell very light. I’m not getting any dust, thank god. I really dislike dirt and soil scents and this one hasn’t come out at all yet. After a Bit The longer this is on my skin the more ‘sour’ smelling it turns. The jasmine and sandalwood retreat to the background and the herbs and a bit of dirt come out more and more. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 1.9 Throw - 3 Longevity - 3 Overall (not an average) - 2.3 Final Thoughts This one isn’t for me, I’ll be passing it on for somebody else to try.

In the Imp I have no idea what these notes are this should be fun. Passion fruit and Sprite. LOL...wut? On My Skin Passion fruit with a bit of zip on it. The ‘zip’ is a sharp scent almost like a touch of citrus. After a Bit It hasn’t really changed much, it’s still a fresh passion fruit/citrus scent. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 3 Throw - 2 Longevity - 3 Overall (not an average) - 2.9 Final Thoughts This is an interesting blend, I’ll keep wearing the imp to see if I’ll need a bottle or if the imp will be enough.

In the Imp Spicy, herbal smelling wood, with a touch of bright pink bubble gum for good measure. I know it sounds strange, but that’s the best I’ve got. On My Skin Double Bubble bubble gum (that really sweet gum that comes individually wrapped - it even captures the dusting of powder on the outside of it). Now that it’s on my skin the herbal element has deffinetly died down, it’s now been relegated to the background where it just pops up every now and again. After a Bit What an interesting scent, I’m still getting something pretty sweet. The herbal, spice and wood elements have died down and I’m left with double bubble on my wrist. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 3.3 Throw - 2 Longevity - 2.5 Overall (not an average) - 2.9 Final Thoughts I’ll keep the imp but won’t go searching a bottle out. I’d really like to re-test it since some of the previous reviews have mentioned notes like mint and I didn’t get anything like that.

In the Imp Nom nom nom. Milk, almond, honey and coconut make this a great scent in the imp. On My Skin This is a decadent scent! The almond is sweet rather than bitter, it reminds me of marzipan cake. The honey, coconut and milk work to make this a very creamy blend. The fig and sandalwood are begining to come out adding just another layer of complexity. I’m super impressed, this is wonderful. After a Bit Some of the initial complexity of this scent has died down. Now it’s primarily coconut and almond, but not much else. It’s still really good but not the OMG WTF good that it was when I first applied it. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 4.5 Throw - 3 Longevity - 3 Overall (not an average) - 4.3 Final Thoughts I’ve got to try this out in a scent locket. It was one of my favorite BPAL smells straight out of the imp and I’d love to recapture that scent and make it last. Even if I can’t do that I still think this is bottle worthy. I’ll just have to reapply often.

In the Imp The notes of this blend mix in a really smooth way. Each time I sniff it I get something different. First time, creamy passion flower. Second time, floral pink pepper. Third time honeysuckle and amber...... I can’t wait to see what this does on my skin. On My Skin I really like what the florals are doing in this mix. They are light, not too sweet with just enough pink pepper to keep the blend from being a generic, nondescript floral. It’s also got this smooth, creamy element that smells quite familair, but I just can’t seem to put my finger on. After a Bit This dries down to a beautiful spicy floral blend that commands attention in a subtle way. The pepper isn’t a hot spicy, it’s more warm which combines well with the honeysuckle and passion flower. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 4.5 Throw - 2.5 Longevity - 3.5 4 hours later still going strong. Overall (not an average) - 3.8 Final Thoughts I’ve got to get a bottle of this soon, I can see myself wearing this blend often.

In the Imp Patchouli, vetiver and the mosses are the readily apparent notes so far. This blend is heavy, smooth and complex. On My Skin So this is what people are talking about when they say patchouli smells like BO (at least I’m assuming it’s the patchouli). Gross. It smells dirtry, like nasty body odor with a pinch of mold for good measure. I’m giving this one hour to work, if not I’m scrubbing it off. After a Bit Some of the epic stink has died down but this still isn’t pleasant smelling. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 1 Throw - 4 Longevity - 3 lasted about six hours Overall (not an average) - 1.1 Final Thoughts After reading the review I thought this blend would be wonderful. I had no idea that it would be wonderfully bad. Off to swaps! Edited to add scent description, this blend is still the epic stink of the world.

In the Imp This smells very floral to my nose. I’m not getting much fruit except for the plum. On My Skin The dominant dote is the gardenia, it’s a light and sweet smell rather than heavy and cloying. I think the other notes must be keeping this from going over the top floral, but I’m not able to pick them out. After a Bit The pear has come out a bit but otherwise this is pretty much the same as when I first applied it. It’s a floral blend with some fruit in the background. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 3 Throw - 2.5 Longevity - 3 lasted about 6 hours faintly Overall (not an average) - 3 Final Thoughts This is a nice scent, but not something that I think I’d reach for often. I’ll wear the imp but don’t think I’ll get a bottle. Okay so I’m coming back to this review 5 hours after the initial application to say that it’s really starting to grow on me. Not one of my favorites, but really good.

In the Imp They aren’t messing around with the spicy mulled wine in this blend, it’s really strong. It’s so strong that I’m having a hard time picking out any other notes. On My Skin This is pretty spicy. I’m getting a heavy and rich wine note with cinnamon and a tiny bit of juniper. Those are the only notes that have developed. After a Bit The spices calm down a bit (but are still quite strong) and allow the other notes to come out and play. The leather is similar to the one I smell in Perversion but there’s also berry included as well. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 3 Throw - 4 Longevity - 4 Overall (not an average) - 3.2 Final Thoughts This is a pretty cool smell. The spicy mulled wine mixed with leather definetly give this blend a masculine touch, but it isn’t so masculine that a woman couldn’t wear it. It’s a very warm comforting scent that I think would work well in the fall when things start to cool down a bit. I don’t think I’ll be getting a bottle, but I’ll keep my imp.

In the Imp This is pretty light in the imp, I almost had a hard time smelling anything at all. What I am getting is very ‘green’. On My Skin Once again, very light. This smells like grass after it rains there’s a tiny hint of a floral element, but I really have to have my wrist next to my nose in order to catch it. After a Bit Two and a half hours later and this is gone. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 3.4 Throw - 1.5 Longevity - 1 Overall (not an average) - 2.2 Final Thoughts I really liked this scent but it just disappeared. I’ve gotta try this in a scent locket.

In the Imp This smells like banana snowcones I used to get when I was a little kid mixed with light breezy tropical florals. Very cool. On My Skin This is a really lovely mix of florals with a bit of banana in the background. It’s not sickingly sweet, or cloying, it’s more of a light whispy scent. It smells like laying on the beach with a mixed drink flavored with bananas. After a Bit I like this blend quite a bit. An hour and a half later it’s mostly florals (jasmine?) with just a hint of banana giving the blend a juicy feel to it. Two thumbs up! Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 4.3 Throw - 2 Longevity - 3 Overall (not an average) - 4 Final Thoughts I can see myself reaching for this blend quite a bit in the summer. It’s a really lovely floral blend with the greenery and fresh, ripe fruit adding to the mix. After I use up my imp I’m getting a bottle of this one!

In the Imp At first when I smelled this imp I immediately thought of Snow Bunny. This blend has the labs snow note (with pine, not like the one in Snow White) mixed with a floral sweetness. On My Skin The pine has died down quite a bit leaving the scent of chilled flowers. This is a beautiful blend bordering on smelling like a traditional, but complex perfume. The lilies are starting to come out adding another layer to this blend. After a Bit Great! I’m still getting chilled flowers from this. The lily didn’t overwhelm the blend which is what I was initially worried about. This has worked out great! Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 3.5 Throw - 2 Longevity - 2 Overall (not an average) - 3.3 Final Thoughts I like this blend. I’m going to have to try it again when the weather is a bit warmer, this would be a perfect spring perfume. I’ll test again before deciding if it’s bottle worthy.

In the Imp Woods, patchouli and herbs. This blend jumps out of the imp at you. It’s very intense. On My Skin This is heavy on the patchouli with a cedar vibe just underneath it. This smell reminds me of camping in the woods - very earthy. After a Bit An hour and a half later and the cedar is really coming out. This blend really does smell like camping - cedar, earth, wood and patchouli. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 1.5 Throw - 3 Longevity - 4 Overall (not an average) - 1.6 Final Thoughts Interesting scent, but not something I’d want to smell like. Off to swaps.

Beautiful, radiant daughter of Demeter... her loveliness was so exquisite that even Hell itself could not resist her. Pomegranate and rose. In the Imp This is a fruity rose blend. Unfortunately for whatever reason rose evokes the ‘yuck, old lady smell’ reflex in me, but I’m going to try this one anyway. On My Skin Rose. Yuck. After a Bit This blend doesn’t have huge throw so it’s not too bad, but every now and again I get a sniff of rose - belch. I love what the pomegranate is doing, but I just can’t deal with rose. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 1.5 Throw - 2 Longevity - 3 Overall (not an average) - 1.5 Final Thoughts This imp needs to find a more loving home. Edited to add scent description.

In the Imp Black tea and pepper are the main notes I’m getting from this blend. There’s a bit of something sweet in the background but I’m not getting enough of it to tell if ti’s the honey or the vanilla. On My Skin The black tea, pepper and ginger are dominating this blend so far. The sweet notes have been relegated to the background for now. After a Bit This dries down to a faint pepper scent on my skin. Too bad it didn’t last for a little while longer, I only got a couple of hours out of this. In it’s initial wet stages it was quite nice. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 2.5 Throw - 2 Longevity -1.5 Overall (not an average) - 2.2 Final Thoughts I think I’ll try this one in a scent locket to see if I can get it to stick around for longer. It was beautiful for the first hour or so but then started to fade pretty quickly.

Having lived in Cairo for a bit I just had to try this blend. In the Imp Bright sweet lemon grass with something sweet. On My Skin This smells like Lush’s Avowash bathbomb. It’s still a sweet lemon/lime scent. After a Bit Now there’s a bit of honey coming out now, but it’s really stayed pretty much the same. It’s a very light and bright smelling. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 2.5 Throw - 3 Longevity - 3 Overall (not an average) - 2.8 Final Thoughts I like this scent, I think it would work great in the summer time. I’m not sure it’s bottle worthy though.

In the Imp Well hello, almond. There’s a bit of amber and spice in the background peeking around the corner at me, but it’s very faint. On My Skin On first sniff this is spicy almond. But when I concentrate on it I can smell the wood and something that’s a bit dusty. Very interesting, so far I’m enjoying it. After a Bit Three hours later and this scent is still alive and kicking. The almond has calmed down a bit and allowed the spices to come to the front. This is a unisex scent that could very easily work for a man. It reminds me of a BPAL I’ve tried before but for the life of me I can’t recall. Rating 1-5 (5 being best) Scent - 2.9 Throw - 3 Longevity - 3.5 Overall (not an average) - 3 Final Thoughts This is a warm and spicy blend which would work equally well for men and women. It’s a great scent but not something I think I’d reach for very often. Maybe on cool days when I’m craving a warm blend, but not something I’d wear with any regularity.
