Haunted: Wet: incense, but faint. Musky incense. I'm waiting to get hit by the Amber wave, but it isn't happening. Drydown: after about 10 minutes, there it is: amber, in great waves. My skin loves amber. In fact, it loves it so much that it's all I'll taste for about 2 days. Ugh. Longterm: Not for me. Maybe someday I'll learn to appreciate amber, but not anytime soon.

Has No Hanna: Wet: I detect some sort of watery florals.. Drydown: And then I smell something soapy. Longterm wear: 2 hours later, I smell nothing at all. I tried this scent for smell only, and haven't tried it for its Voodoo properties. Perhaps another time.

Hesperides: Wet, in the imp: I've smelled this somewhere before. Closing my eyes, I'm taken back to my elementary school days.. perhaps I smelled something similar on a scratch n' sniff sticker. That's what it reminds me of, somehow. Wet: Yep, I'm still maintaining that it smells like a scratch n' sniff sticker a la 1985. Drydown: The smell finally mellowed out and became more apple-like, not all too unlike the way Prague smells on me. Longterm wear: this strong scent faded to absolutely nothing after about 2 hours. Sad.

The Ghost: Wet: ... where is this scent? Will try again later. I suspect that this will be similar to Grandmother of Ghosts. Drydown/Longterm wear: After about an hour, a very faint white floral comes wafting through. This is almost identical to how Grandmother of Ghosts reacts with my skin. It's very subtle, just a faint breath of a whisper. Very nice. It's not an OMG BIG BOTTLE scent, but I'll use up the imp, I'm sure. Then I'll decide.

Glitter: Wet: This reminds me of candy. I bet it's the pear, since pear is used as a flavoring in a -lot- of artificial flavors. Drydown: Still very sweet, with an underlying dryness/spicyness that I can't quite put my finger on. The scent loses a lot of its oomph! here, and fades a bit. Longterm wear: Glitter fades considerably with my body chemistry. I could've loved it, but it was devoured by my scent-hungry skin, it seems.

Florence: Wet: Spicy/musky. Hints of something floral start wafting up after a few seconds. Drydown: lightly spicy, the resins are starting to waft up. I'm starting to get that weird taste in my mouth that I get when I wear amber scents.. Longterm wear: after about an hour, Florence went powdery on me. Off to the swaps bin!

Grog: Wet: Buttery rum! This is the same smell I love from Perversion. Heavy on the butter. Drydown:.. the rum went away. I just smell like butter. Longterm wear: I don't know where the rum went, but I really don't want to smell like butter. Off to the swaps pile!

Hecate: Wet: Woo, Almonds! And as always, that hint of cherry that follows all almond scents.. Drydown: still heavily almond. All I can think of is that I bet Penance hates this scent. Longterm wear: I didn't read the description, so I wasn't expecting OMG-ALMOND with this.. but that's what I got.

Saturn: Originated from: Celestials circular swap Wet: Woodsy.. very masculine. Hints of juniper and cedar, I believe. Drydown: Gah! There is civet here, and it's come out to play. My skin really amps it up, and that's not a good thing. Longterm wear: After about 2 hours, it had to come off. Sorry, Beth! This was not a good scent for me, at all.

Venus: Originated from: Celestials circular swap Wet: Green and herbal, which is not at all what I expected. Oddly, there's something in this that reminds me vaguely of Calliope. Drydown: Still very green and herbal, with hints of rose. Longterm wear: A very lovely scent, but I doubt I'd wear it on a regular basis.

Mars: Originated from: Celestials circular swap Wet: Cinnamon-clove goodness! Drydown: Oh, this is yummy. It reminds me of a pomander ornament, sans the blatant orange smell. Longterm wear: I expected Mars to be red, but I didn't expect it to smell this good.

Graveyard Dirt (BPAL March '05 LE Edition): Wet: yep, that's dirt. Drydown: potting soil style dirt. Overall: .. it smells like earth. I ordered this bottle to see what all the fuss was about, but truthfully I can't ever imagine wanting to smell like this. I love the smell of soil when I'm gardening, but not as a personal scent.

Ides of March: Wet: green. grass? So very green. Drydown: the rosemary, lemon and bergamot come out to play. They blend together *very* well. Overall: A little too green for me, but quite nice.

Pluto: Originated from: Celestials Circular swap Wet: As with most of the celestial oils, I get something strongly herbal upon application. It then fades into something totally different. Drydown: Pluto took a sharp turn towards something blue, perhaps aquatic, and white. Longterm wear: After about an hour, Pluto turned soapy on me. I doubt I'd wear it often, if at all.

Uranus: Originated from: Celestials circular swap Wet: Cinnamon-amon-amon! Sugary Red Hots. Drydown: Still smelling Red Hots. This isn't all too different on my skin than Three Witches was. Longterm wear: Lovely scent! I wish I had more of it.

Mercury: Originated from: Celestials circular swap Wet: Juniper! Very strong evergreen smell with hints of something that I want to call cinnamon but that's not quite it. It reminds me of the smell of an old-fashioned candy I've once had before. Sassafras? Lavender? Drydown: Powdery, but not all-the-way baby powder. Longterm wear: Not bad, but not a daily-wear scent.

Jupiter Originated from: Celestials Circular Swap Wet: I agree with previous reviewers: it's woodsy without being too woodsy, and fruity without being too fruity. I can't pick out the individual notes, but it's a very nice scent! Drydown: Whatever fruit scent is coming out due to my skin chemistry is really being amped up. It's almost reminiscent of Baba Yaga, but a lot lighter. I'm not familliar with the smell of redwood, so I can't say if it smells like that or not. Longterm wear: Though this is discontinued, I'd wear it if I had a big bottle.

Sol: Originated from: Celestials circular swap Wet: Piney! Whew! Drydown: I agree with previous posters - slightly resinous, hints of clove. This smells like a hot summer day. Longterm wear: This is really nice. I don't know if I'd wear it as a personal scent, but it evokes memories of summertime in my childhood. I'd keep it in an imp.
-
Capricorn: Originated from: Celestials Circular swap Wet: Heavy like -whoa-. Heavy resin. I also smelled something that I suspected was vetiver. Drydown: Whatever smelled like vetiver has toned down into incens-y cedar. It's still a very strong scent. Very earthy, and IMO very masculine. Longterm wear: I can't say that Capricorn is a scent I'd wear often. I'd have to pass.

Luna: Originated from: Celestials Circular swap Wet: Oh, yum. This is soft, floral yet fruity.. it almost reminds me of what 'traditional lunar oils' should smell like, and it's very reminiscent of Chaste Moon, in my opinion. Drydown: White. I smell something white. White, clean, breezy. Not quite creamy, but close. Hints of cherries and jasmine are present. This is a gorgeous scent. Longterm wear: If I could buy a big bottle of this, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Scorpio: Originated from: Celestials Circular Swap Wet: This is a baffling scent.. I can't tell if that's honey or sweet clove I smell at first.. maybe a hint of some sort of fruit? Also, given that Scorpio is a water sign, I get a hint of something water-like in the background. This is a very.. moist, lush scent. Drydown: Dry, this scent is a milder version of how it smelled wet, if not a tad soapy. Longterm wear: Scorpio is a nice scent, but it's not for me.

Aries: Originated from: Celestials Circular swap Wet: ... civet? This smelled a lot like civet in the imp and wet on my skin. Drydown: Upon drydown, Aries smelled much more like pepper and ginger to me.. almost like smelling my spice rack, with a hint of incense burning in the background. Longterm wear: Aries strikes me as a very masculine scent, and not one I'd be likely to wear often. it's a tad too spicy for my tastes.
-
Pisces: Originated from: Celestials Circular Swap Wet: I must concur: watery florals. I definitely get a pink or red vibe from this.. there's a fruity undertone that I can't quite put my finger on. Drydown: Very light.. a lighter version of the way it smells wet. No significant change. I have SN Heliotrope, and I don't smell Heliotrope in this. Or perhaps my nose deceives me? Longterm wear: Definitely a lovely, light comforting scent. Brava!

Libra: Originated from: Celestials Circular Swap Wet: Oh yes, I can smell the apple and the white musk. It almost reminds me of the apple smell that I get out of Prague and Phantom Queen. Crisp, biting, delicious. Drydown: Oh, this is a gorgeous scent. It's mellowed down by the musk and hints of everything else the lab lists. I don't normally like rose scents, but this is gorgeous. Longterm wear: Libra is a beautiful scent that I'd love to wear often. It's very sad that it's been discontinued.

Regan: Sidenote: I had to try Regan. Regan is the name of an old girlfriend of mine. Wet: Heady orchid, with a hint of that 'creamy' sense I get from the likes of Dorian and Chaste Moon. I think Regan might be Dorian's little sister. Drydown: Still very floral, and yet it smells like.. skin, to me. I'm not getting a lot of vanilla out of this one. Longterm wear: I plan to try Regan again when I'm not partially stuffy.. my BPAL box seems to make my nose a bit congested these days. But all in all, it was nice, for what I could smell.
