Limited editions equivalents in the general catalog?

Grog didn't smell anything like Midway to me...Grog dries down to a sort of faint rum on me, while Midway becomes vanilla-flavored powdered sugar -
Cheshire Cat is a disconcerting fragrance reminiscent of the not-so-dearly departed Deimos. Why? Because the dark musk in this blend is extremely animalistic--like civet but furrier and not as intense. It's a note that seems to clash horribly with the citrus in this blend (which is sad, because the citrus is delightful and I was enjoying this fragrance before the musk reared it's ugly head).

Sharp dragon's blood and tobacco smoke...I normally like tobacco scents, but this scent makes me smell like a smoker
-
Sensual ecstasy, the blinding red fire of the apex of sexual pleasure: Moroccan rose, Sumatran rose, mandarin, Egyptian myrrh, night-blooming jasmine, bergamot and neroli thrust into Arabian musk. A sharp blend of rose, manderin, and myrrh. I detect a soft bed of jasmine and musk, but the blend is still pretty sharp and gains a medicinal edge during drydown. This one smells pretty generic on me =( Pity, considering that I like most of the notes.

I get that from Darkness

Sweet scents, sugar notes & things that smell like candy
joseybird replied to voila's topic in Recommendations
Katherina smells like gummy candy to me And then of course, there's Sugar Skull Midway is sweet, but actually not *that* sweet -
This is the most gorgeous jasmine BPAL ever! I am not normally a fan of BPAL's jasmine note--it smells heavy and one-dimensional compared with the exquisite 10% jasmine essential oil I have. But blended with the myrtle and lily, spiced up by the clove, and softened by the vanilla, the blend takes on a heady, intoxicating, incredibly seductive quality--a spicy, very slightly woody (the sandalwood is barely noticable at all), womanly floral with a soft vanillic base. The most elegant BPAL I've found yet, and one fit for a goddess of love

Sharp citrus and jasmine, spiced up with herbs and tinged with lavender. In a few minutes, the scent dries down to a lovely, clean lavender-jasmine. I never expexted to like this, but it's actually really nice and clean!

The first notes that pop out at me are the bergamot (not screaming, thank goodness) and wafts of incense. The amber musk emerges quickly, and the bergamot fades into the incense and musk (which smells like -predictably- amber-scented musk). The neroli and rose pretty much meld together in this blend and tinge the incense with their scent, so it becomes more floral-scented incense than florals+incense, if that makes sense. The candle-smoke is very subtle in this blend, and acts more like a dark film over the proceedings than as a note in and of itself--a texturizer, if you will. This is an incredibly sultry blend, definately, as the description says, "heavy-lidded." I would say that it's somewhat similar in feel to Scheherazade, but more "dark purple" than "dark red" in scent. This is definately the scent of a gypsy, or perhaps a seductive, experianced haram girl. It's gorgeous

A very traditional, very beautiful rose perfume muted by the musk (which is more of a texture in this blend than its own scent) and a hint of spice. Sensual, exotic, and to my nose very feminine (although I can see the right guy pulling this off).
-
Buck Moon begins with a breath of very light and airy flowers--more like the scent of spring flowers on the wind than *florals* (ie there's a definate "air" smell). Then the scent turns into a velvety-soft skin musk, a cross between the musk in Haunted and white musk (although I really have no idea exactly what musk!). It's gorgeous and slightly sweet, and actually smells more feminine to my nose than I expected. It's like Oisin's feminine counterpart, and it reminds me of Morocco (the non-cedary variety) and Antique Lace. Beautiful!

The Lion is the closest thing I've found to pure Egyptian Amber Haunted dries down to pure Egyptian Amber too

I've just realized that even though I love tobacco, I'm not huge on tobacco leaf =/ unfortunately, that note dominates this blend. The rosewood+ginger combo, unfortunately, goes all soapy on me I love the traces of opium, but that can't save this blend for me. A pity...I thought I'd really like this blend, based on my positive reactions to Langour and Darkness =/
-
Blantently sexual and heady, Debauchery isn't as bad as I thought it would be, but the civet is still in evidence (although not the dominant note--more like a sidekick). If I could stand civet, I'd love this scent
-
A beautiful, fresh, almost "green" herby-floral with a bed of yummy amber
-
To me, Black Lotus smells strangely like civet bubblegum there's a little bit of resinous undertones here, but for the large part, I can't stand this Which is a pity, because I love the concept and the name!
-
The Yemaya bottle looks really pretty (I don't have a digital camera though--sorry =() It has a purple border and a fancy lil T-shaped icon between the name and "Black Phoenix Alchemical Laboratory" flanked by two faint circular icons. I guess this is the old-style TAL bottle?

Watermelon like the way watermelon candy SHOULD smell Late into the drydown I can detect a little mango and papaya. Omg this is incredible!!

Cake, cookies, donuts, baked goods, even Cinnabon

Midway, without a dought =D it has a strong pastry note -
How about "naughty_blaise"? "pervy_blaise" also has a ring to it I'd absolutely *love* a blow-up of LitA, if anyone can provide the pic (you can take that one whatever what you want )
-
Sooooooooooo pretty! Definately aquatic "bulby" florals, and very reminiscent of Amsterdam A beautiful spring and summer scent--light, airy, and soft
-
Cedar--sharp, crisp, clear, and clean. This is Cedar in a business suit--more like sniffing a tree than a pile of woodchips. Penance, you know you wannit
-
I vote to have "modesty" struck from your name!
-
Very pale and soft--the olfactory equivalent of fine white gauz This is very much a skin scent. It stays very close to the skin and mingles with one's natural odor. It's like your skin but better--cleaner, softer, and with the innocent sexiness of a virgin bride. The most perfect musk EVER
