Wet in imp: fresh citrus, floral Wet on skin: pure lemon Drydown: lemony flowers Wearlength: completely gone within hours Final impression: It turned to lemon cleaner very quickly. Not a harsh cleaner, but cleaner nonetheless.

Wet in imp: cranberry juice! Wet on skin: cranberry juice with a bit of herbal to make it interesting Drydown: mmm… cranberry and clean booze Wearlength: softens after a while, but hangs on fairly well Final impression:

Wet (in imp and on skin): Oh, no... Yankee Candle again... My nose and skin just don't agree with the sweet, food scents. Dry: Sickly-sweet fakiness I so wanted to be a foody. I am not.
-
Wet (in imp and on skin): fruity evergreen Dry: I smell the heather, and the berries are sweetening it. I think my chemistry may have turned this a bit more masculine than I prefer. It smells like something I'd like my grandfather to wear - not unpleasant, just not me.
-
Wet in imp: lemony lavender Wet on skin: herbal lemon Drydown: Smelling a bit like lemon Pledge and a cologne my grandma used to keep around to use as bug repellant while camping (I liked the smell of that repellant as a kid, but I'm not so sure I want to smell like it now - ooh… although, if it works as a repellant, it's one I'd gladly wear instead of the normal ones). -fades to a sweet, soft lemon with a hint of mint Final impression: I basically like it, and it brings back great memories, but I don't want to smell like it.
-
Wet in imp: sweet floral Wet on skin: powdery floral Drydown: a pretty, soft floral - it fades to smelling like a clean baby in a flower garden Final impression: gentle, soft floral with baby powder and a touch of vanilla
-
Wet in imp: tea, ginger, and an apple-blossom-like smell Wet on skin: ginger and clean laundry Drydown: ginger, clean laundry, bright pepper, and a honey-floral scent Wearlength: hours later, all but the milk and honeyed vanilla have vanished Final impression: Clean, bright and pretty, but eventually fades to Dana O'Shee. I like it, but a bottle of it would basically be redundant.
-
Wet in imp: fruity Wet on skin: fresh apricot jam with a touch of nectarine Drydown: same as wet, but the clove is warming it up nicely Soft, warm, sweet. I love it
-
This starts out as caramel and rose, but quickly turns to Yankee Candle and old lady's house. I suspect my chemistry doesn't work well with foody scents, unfortunately

Wet in imp: mmmm… like Dana O'Shee in a flower shop Wet on skin: the floral notes are developing more Drydown: soft, clean floral with a touch of milky baby powder (but not in a bad way) This is a really good one. It's clean and girly, and smells like Dana O'Shee with roses and a touch of carnation.

I so wanted to love this one, but after the initial pineapple upside-down cake and toffee yumminess, it turned to Yankee Candle on me. I'm thinking the sweet, foody scents may just not be for me.

The ghostly White Women of the Scottish highlands. They seduce unwary travelers by night with their unearthly beauty and mesmerizing dancing. They engage their victims in a wild, hypnotic dance, and once they reach exhaustion, the demonesses exsanguinate their partners with their vampiric kiss. Talk about a quick courtship. Grapefruit, white tea, apple blossom and ginger. Wet in imp: light, bright, pretty - I can't quite pin down the elements involved Wet on skin: citrus, apple blossom and a touch of ginger Drydown: same as wet, but quickly takes on a sharp, bitter lemon cleaner-type smell Wearlength: the citrus part fades after a few hours, and the rest is faintly detectable 8 hours later Final impression: Gorgeous in the imp, alarming for about two hours, then beautiful apple blossom after.
-
Wet in imp: pungent, spiced fruit Wet on skin: booze, fruit, musty rose, and lilac Drydown: boozy floral - very pretty for a while, but then parts of it I can't quite pin down amped up and became too strong (it may be the musty rose and booze) Wearlength: going strong 8 hours later Final impression: We had a few good minutes together, but then the Blood Countess overpowered me.
-
Wet in imp: floral chocolate (I don't know where the chocolate is coming from) Wet on skin: pretty floral with earthy warmth in the background Drydown: the floral is developing complexity and a touch of fruit is lurking behind Wearlength: by morning, it has faded to a soft, pure chocolate Final impression: The longer I wear it, the more chocolate seems to develop, and it fades away as chocolate.
-
Wet in imp: sweet nuttiness Wet on skin: pure nuts Drydown: boozy nuts with butterscotch Wearlength: fading fast by 4 the four-hour point Final impression: Did I mention it smells like nuts? I like the smell, but I don't believe I'll be wearing it. Maybe a comforting room scent in the fall or winter.
-
This one confused me. I didn't refresh my memory on the site description of this scent before using it, and looking at it after I had tried it and taken my notes, I'm baffled with what my results were Wet in imp: spiced apricot Wet on skin: spiced pumpkin Drydown: still spiced pumpkin, but with a hint of berry Wearlength: hardly detectable 7 hours later Final impression: not sure where I'm getting the spice or pumpkin, but I think this would make a good winter or fall scent
-
Wet in imp: plum and booze Wet on skin: plum candy Drydown: turning to fruity wine with plum candy Wearlength: Still around later in the day Final impression: I think Bordello is a bit too sticky-sweet for me. It's not unpleasant. I just don't want to smell like it. I can pick up the tutti-frutti similarity others have noticed.
-
Wet in imp: sweet vanilla Wet on skin: same Drydown: I'm not terribly familiar with musk, but I think the "three pale musks" are pushing forward through the vanilla. I'm not picking up much tea - just a hint. Wearlength: Still there 8 hours later. Final impression: Not sure I like this one. It seems to smell like someone I used to know, but I don't recall who or if I liked them.
-
Wet in imp: jasmine and ginger Wet on skin: jasmine seems to be asserting itself a bit… jasmine love Drydown: the sharpness of the ginger softens down so my result is a beautiful jasmine, warmed by ginger with a hint of vanilla Wearlength: applied before bed - it was mostly gone by morning, but I could still smell a hint of it Final impression: The siren has called me in to be dashed against the rocks. At least I'll die happy

In imp: yummy chocolate cherry Wet on skin: sweet, earthy, floral cherry Drydown: initially dark chocolate cherry with a slight powdery floral behind it. Rich chocolate made pretty with orange blossom. I put this on about an hour before going to bed, and I loved it. I woke up with most of the scent faded away. About 4 hours after re-applying in the morning, it seems to have gone a bit soapy on me. Well, at least it's yummy-smelling soap, but I don't think I'll be getting a bottle of this unless I find it makes a great room scent.

Wet in imp: chocolate/toffee scented candle Wet on skin: still candle, cocoa/toffe/nut/caramel… and cinnamon? Drydown: What I perceived as cinnamon morphed into a spicy floral I would assume is the hops. I smell like a Yankee Candle store in the mall. Wearlength: Stayed on overnight, and it remained very strong. Final impression: An hour later, I don't like it. Way later, I still don't like it. I like Yankee Candles, but I don't want to be mistaken for one.

... Offerings of milk, honey and sweet grains were made to placate these creatures, and it is that the basis of the scent created in their name. Wet in imp: sweet almond Wet on skin: slightly powdery, sweet almond Drydown: Turning to oat flour and powder. Soft powder with a gentle tinge of almond Wearlength: Detectable 12 hours later, but not without getting very close to the skin. Final impression: It reminds me of a foaming milk bath I once used, with a bit of a floral vanilla element. Not quite what I was expecting, but I do like it. edit to add: The more I wear this, the more I love it
-
Wet in imp: brownie batter! Wet on skin: still brownie, but with more cocoa and a touch of almond Drydown: little bit fake, smells like hot chocolate with marshmallows from a powdered mix Wearlength: Still smell it faintly 9 hours after application Final impression: It mellowed a bit and became slightly less powdered-mix-like as it faded. I had been hoping for a more real, creamy chocolate scent, but I still like it.

In imp: boozy fruit Wet on skin: fruit, booze, and... woody flowers? Drydown: woody, soapy fruit... Two hours later: soapy, woody bubblegum I'm so disappointed. The description was so promising, and I liked it in the imp, but my skin turned it 2 hrs later: After a little longer wear and a futile attempt to wash it off my arms in the restroom at work, it has lost some of the soapy bubblegum smell and smells more like a true fruity booze. I like the smell much better now, but don't think it's quite "me"... and the search continues... (edited to add 2 hours later update)

In imp: slightly floral/herby citrus Wet on skin: bit of herbal/sweet fruitiness coming forward Drydown: mossy, orange, sweet, floral with a hint of chocolatey mint Wearlength: Wore for 2 hours before taking a shower. Unsure how long it would last if left alone. May give it another try sometime when my shower time isn't so near. Final impression: Just not me… Smells like a sweet, happy older lady who tells good stories, dresses nicely and has good taste… I'd love to meet her, but I don't want to smell like her. (disclaimer: this is my first BPAL scent and first review... my nose is very inexperienced )
