    Azathoth

This is an incredibly warm & sexy scent. On me, Azathoth is all cedarwood and vetiver. Yummy! I can tell there's a bit of black amber. I don't notice any tangerine and I have no idea what saffron smells like, so I can't pick it out. It has very good throw and lasts a long time. This scent is a bit too overwhelming for a 90 degree weather day like today but I will wear this in the Fall & Winter. This would be amazing on a man since I find it to be a masculine scent. I would want to cuddle with someone wearing this-bury my nose in his neck and sniff to my heart's content!

    Mi-Go Brain Canister

In the bottle, it was an intersting fruity floral. Within seconds of being on my skin...it was all Jasmine. I hate Jasmine and my skin really amps it up. I had to scrub it off asap. Grrrr...mi-go brains, I hardly knew ye.

    The Ides of March 2005

The Ides marked an auspicious time in the Roman calendar. Depending on the month in question, the Ides fell on the thirteenth or fifteenth, and usually marked the Full Moon. As we all know, it was not an auspicious day for Julius Caesar, nor was it fortuitous for H.P. Lovecraft, who also met his maker on this infamous day. Tu quoque, Brute, fili mi! A mixture of springtime greenery and classical Roman cologne: rosemary, bergamot, lemon rind and vervain with costus, benzoin, gray amber, cardamom, white narcissus and iris. If you are looking for a light fresh green herbal...this is it! Wet: The notes blend so well...I can't really pick out a single one. It is a light fresh green herbal scent. After a few minutes, the bergamot and rosemary stand at attention. Crisp and clean. There is also a lovely citrus tang developing. I don't notice the lemon persay- maybe because it is lemon rind used. I do not smell any of the floral notes either-that's a good thing to me! It does seem to be fading fast on my skin. I will reapply more to see it it lasts longer. I may add more to this review later. In my opinion, this is a gender nuetral scent. I do really like this oil- I wish I would have ordered two bottles!

    Zombi

I'm not sure I can add anything that hasn't been already said. This oil smells exactly like it said it would. Beth's wonders never cease. Wet on skin- I smell earth and moss. Reminds me a bit of Demeter's Dirt with a kick. Freshly dug grave-I do like that smell! After 5 minutes the roses bloom. It has an almost humid and moist quality to the scent- like a graveyard in New Orleans. Lush roses and fresh dirt. I envisioned a New Orleans jazz band funeral march through an old graveyard. sigh...quite lovely. I like this oil but I can't imagine wearing it because I do not like the smell of roses on me. I would like to use it as a room fragrance. I love the smell of dirt and moss (but the roses ruin it) so I can't wait to try Graveyard Dirt. Maybe that will work better on me.

    Dead Man's Hand

Dead Man's Hand is amazing. I have never smelled a better leather oil. Beth is a genius! This oil smells like expensive suede- warm & dusty. It reminds me of the leather section in a western store. This is what I want a cute cowboy to smell like! I can't stop sniffing my wrist. To quote bookfaery... "This scent is probably what got a lot of women in trouble with cowboys." Too true! This is everything I wanted DeSade to be but wasn't. I don't find it to be too masculine for a woman to wear and I think it will mix well with other oils. I plan on mixing it with straight vanilla oil to see what that's like. I find it sweetens up on me with time and a good vanilla may be the right partner for this. Maybe a touch of wood like cedar. I need to go play with my oils now! ADDED: Two hours after I applied it- still going strong. One of my kitties, Chainsaw, can't stop smelling my wrists. He normally winces when he catches a wiff of oils but he seems to like it. It must really smell like leather for him to act this way- he rips off and eats the leather tails from his toy fur mice the moment he gets them.
