In the bottle: Orchid, lilly, and a hint of cedar First on: Uh oh. I think this mix is turning to rot on me like Blood Rose did. Drydown: It actually turned into a nice blend, with mostly cedar showing at the end. It almost had a powder type scent to it, but it wasn't baby powdery. If that makes sense. I like it, but it's not an everyday scent.

In the bottle: dragon's blood and rose, with a hint of something else I can't place First on: Black Rose smelled like molding flowers on me, and this one is going the same route. The sweetness is becoming a sickly sweet, like one left out to rot for too long. Drydown: While I didn't have to wash it off, this one is not meant for me. It smelled like rotting flowers in the heat with something sickly sweet on top of it.

In the bottle: dragon's blood and a salty aquatic note First on: Whatever that salty note is, it's strong. The sweetness of the dragon's blood is taking a back seat to it, though they blend together nicely. Drydown:The salty goes away, but I'm left with an ozone tang, a hint of db, and some florals. I liked this at first, but unfortunately the more I wear it, the more I don't like it. I think most aquatic scents just aren't for me.

This is most definitely my favorite of the Ars Draconis so far. In the bottle: Mostly faint musk and fig. I have a very old tarted imp that is more goopy from aging, so that affects the overall scent, I'm sure. First on: I love red musk, and I love dragon's blood, and that's what this is on me at first. The black musk is a bit overpowering after a few minutes, but there's that faint sweetness from the fig & the currant that help to damper it. Drydown: The musk comes out more and the dragon's blood fades away, but that's not how I remember it being last time I wore it. I think my imp is dead. Oh damn, I'll jsut have to get a bottle. This is what Dragon's Heart reminds me of. I used to have this poster up before my old cat ate it.

I can't really distinguish any particular notes except for lime here, but it's more of lime rind than lime juice. Magickal purposes for me went rather well. I mixed it with my own Dragon's Blood (not the BPAL) and felt much better about the situation I was in, mainly becasue I knew someone was plotting against me at work. It did it's job well.

I was not thinking I would like Snake Oil since I hated O and generally don't like vanilla. I really like it though, so I'm glad I tried it! Thanks Beth! In the bottle: A hint of spices, lots of vanilla, and an almost alcohol scent that I'm assuming is from the strength of the vanilla. First on: Honey-vanilla powder, like the karma sutra honey dust. People were asking why I smelled like baby powder, but kept saying it smelled really good. Drydown: The spice has left the building, and the powder scent comes out more, which is odd since my skin doesn't turn even amber into powder. I'm generally not fond of baby powder scents, but everyone keeps complimenting me, so I'm not complaining!

I snagged myself a bottle of this at C11, and I'm glad I did. In the bottle: Butter spice with a hint of pumpkin First on: Mmm...Spicy! Clove, cinnamon, maybe some nutmeg? With a hint of that buttery smell, but mostly spice & pumpkin. Like the others have said, very much like a fresh pumpkin pie. Drydown: Unlike everyone else, this seems to go back to being more pumpkin-y on me than spicy. After a few hours it's faded away completely. Not one to wear for all day, it would be a great one for a few hour long event, or somewhere I can realize I need to reapply it.

I wasn't sure if I'd like this one, since I don't really care for peach that much. Thankfully I do, even though it's all peach on me, since I ended up with most of a 5ml. In the bottle: Musk(?), sandalwood, then peach. Maybe a bit of faint vanilla? First on: It comes out almost just like the bottle, I smell musk & sandalwood with peach in the background. It's not what I would have pictured from the character, but it's nice. Drydown: This turns into straight peach cobbler on me, which I like, but only for certain occasions when I'm in a more girly mood.

In the bottle: Sweet pine & a few flowers I can't distinguish. First on: The sweetness of it comes out, which isn't much. It's like the blooms on a tree smell, not sticking your nose in a flower smell. I still can't tell you which ones though. Drydown: It's all woods and smoke. I wasn't sure how I'd like this one, but I think it grows on me each time I wear it. It's more of an acceptable for anyday smokey than Djinn, though that one makes me swoon when I sniff it.

Antique Lace stayed the same from in the bottle to completely gone on me. It was very different from what I was expecting given the description, and stayed a fairly true form of vanilla on me. I'm generally not a huge vanilla fan, but this is a sophisticated one, not a teenage sweet scent. I work in a restaurant, where most scents leave my skin in a few hours because of all the different smells. After 8 hours I'd still get a whiff without even trying to, and after 12 I could still smell it when I sniffed my wrist. It's not an everyday scent for me, but definitely one I like.

I got a bottle of this on ebay without ever having sniffed it. In the bottle: Pine, maybe juniper? A slight hint of something sweeter, but it's all encapsulated in ice. Beth really gets the snow scent down perfectly. First on: The pine still stays at the forefront, but now there is a definite berry I can smell underneath. It reminds me of the Mullberry scent Bath & Body Works had out for xmas a few years ago, only much nicer. Drydown: It reminds me of a cross between Midwinter's Eve and Ice Queen. It stays the same mostly on me, only the berry has its moments of peaking out more from the pine before it retreats again. I like this one, and got rid of both my Ice Queen & Midwinter's Eve when I got it because it seemed like a mesh. I never wear it though, so I might just decant an imp and send the bottle on to someone who can truly appreciate it.

In the bottle: Sweet, yet tart. Almost like a sweet tart. Florals & dragon’s blood. First on: Dragon’s Blood, some pine-y and other woodsy scents are there, maybe pine & cedar? The florals have taken a back seat to the sweet woods for the moment. It’s a very odd combination, but I really like it. Drydown: The woodsy fades into the floral, and it's left with a great naturesque blend, topped with sweet dragon's blood. Mmm...

In the bottle: Green florals with a hint of soap & liquor? WTF? I think my nose is broken. First on: I think that liquor note is coming from Jasmine, which is so strong & sweet that it smells almost like liquor. Or there’s almond in here as well. The soapy smell is gone, other than that it’s pretty much the same as in the bottle. Drydown: It fades into a nice clean floral that’s not too potent in any way.
-
In bottle: Ginger & spice. What I wished Gingerbread Poppet smelled like First on: Ginger, that hint of spice/bread like smells, and some sort of fruit. It almost smells like ginger layered on top of Luna. Drydown: I was at work and didn’t get to distinctively sniff myself, but for about 30 – 60 minutes, I would get a faint whiff of ginger. After an hour, the only detectable scent was a faint trace of amber. Beth reccommended putting it in a lotion to make the scent last longer.

In the bottle: Light floral & herb, very clean First on: It smells like a light summer day. Almost like a laundry detergent but without the detergent smell if that makes sense. Drydown: From white tea, damascus rose, & carnation, I somehow get strong citrus. This is what I expected Cheshire Cat to smell like. The rose is peaking out, so I wonder if it'll take over when it's a few hours on.
-
In the bottle: Mint, but the herb, not a stong peppermint scent. First on: Soap with mint in the background Drydown: It still smells more like soap than mint to me. I can detect the lime, but the mint is gone. Definitely not what I expected Envy to smell like.
-
In the bottle: Tropical fruit life-savers. First on: Same as above Drydown: The tropical scent goes away, and it's left with jsut a fruity mix of orange & mango. It's actually really nice, when from the beginning stages I thought I wouldn't like it.
-
In the bottle: Suntan lotion + cinnamon & mint First on: Herbal and minty, but I still smell a hint of the suntan lotion Drydown: Cinnamon comes out, mint goes away, but there's still the suntan lotion in the background. It's a very complex scent.
-
In the bottle: Orange rind soap First on: Orange, with a bit of flowers. The only thing I can smell from the ingredients is the orange. Wierd, since my skin amps up mint. Drydown: Pure soap. Like liquid Dawn.
-
In the bottle: Pepper, vetiver, maybe cedar or pine, and patchouli? Something very earthy. First on: Cedar, lots of it. And the vetiver. Moss on top makes it like an old log sitting in a forest with moss covering it. the pepper has mostly dissappeared. Drydown: Same as above. It's very masculine, but I like it.

Thick, dark, sluggish and heavy with indolence: vetiver over black myrrh. In the bottle: Dirt & medicine. Another one I remember really liking at BB once it was on, hopefully it'll stay that way. First on: Mmm...this is very dark & thick, like wading through a hot muggy day. I like vetiver, so I really like this one since it's all vetiver & myrrh. Almost an herbal, but not quite. I get a hint of sweetness, which reminds me of cloves, but there is definitely not cloves in this. Drydown: This is probably a good scent for when I'm too hyper or awake. Or at work to calm me down. It's gotten even thicker & sluggish, which is fitting. The vetiver has come out more, almost too much, but the myrrh tempers it with just a hint of sweetness.

In the bottle: Sweet yet almost arid. It looks & smells like dragon's blood, but it's not listed. First on: This is like a lighter version of Wildfire, a bit more floral, but not a cloying one. When I run out of my 1.5 5mls of Wildfire, this will probably replace it. Drydown: I can't really describe this one. Heh. It still has a hint of that Wildfire smell, but it's different. It's more like a spring garden with some dragon's blood incense burning out in the open so the scent dissapates. I really like it, it's perfect for warm spring days.
-
In the bottle: Mmmm....a slightly floral incense. Yum. First on: Just like in the bottle. It's very incensey, but with a floral mossy overtone. I love it. Drydown: Vitamins! It's gone totally herbal on me, which is such a shame because I really liked it. It just reeks of vitamins, like when you've taken a multi and you burp, you can taste it for the rest of the day. Ugh.
-
In the bottle: Orange rind First on: I really don't know why I picked this one, I hate orange, neroli & bergamot. But the clove & mimosa are showing more than the orange, and if it keeps going this way I might actually really like it. Drydown: It's a slightly spicy, very lightly citrus scented flower. But it's really light, and unfortunately not for me.
-
In the bottle: A bitter floral scent First on: Rose. Lots of rose. Damnit! I wanted the rosewood & sandalwood out of this one. I get pure rose. Drydown: Still pure rose. It's a nice rose, don't get me wrong, but that's not something I want anymore. I went through my rose stage in high school.
