  1. In the bottle: Lemon, lilac, rose

First on: It's the epitome of a Cancer. Rose & Lilac in the background mingling romantically, with lemon up front. I think it's the tart of the lemon that makes it such a perfect Cancer scent, because it makes it somehow more emotional.

Drydown: It's stayed almost the same, and actually I really love it. I grew out of my rose phase in high school, and haven't really looked back. This one is just so pure, emotional and lovely.

  2. In the bottle: I'm getting more juniper than pine, though both might be in there. Definitely lavender, not sure what else. It's very strong.

First on: Smells almost exactly the same as in the bottle, only there's a bergamot or a neroli that I smell. And it's starting to turn, I wonder if there's civet in it.

Drydown: I still can't tell if it's civet, which means it's probably not, and it's jsut some weird concotion of oils that make my skin think it is. It's still lavender and woods. If it weren't for that civet thing going, I might like this one more.

  3. In the bottle: Rose, ylang ylang, and a hint of moss.

First on: Rose tempered with oakmoss, a bit of smokyness from the sandalwood, and some sweetness from the ylang ylang.

Drydown: The ylang ylang doesn't like me, as it's turning slightly sour. Other than that it's exactly like above, and reminds me of Ouija.

  4. In the bottle: Eucalyptus, maybe juniper berries as well

First on: The eucalyptus has calmed enough to release some cedar and maybe clove?

Drydown: Mmmm..... this reminds me of the Clove chewing gum that's so hard to find now. no more eucalyptus or juniper, this is all clove and cedar.

Anyone have a bottle they don't want?

  5. EXPANDING the INTELLECT - QUICK WIT - MENTAL AGILITY - COMMUNICATION - TRAVEL -CALCULATION - ANALYSIS - LEARNING - TEACHING - GAMBLING - STUDY - CREATIVITY -MAGICKAL ACUMEN - GOOD CONVERSATION - CHANCE HAPPENINGS - ADAPTABILITY

    In the bottle: All lavender.

First on: Lavender, with a slight hint of a lemon that was once near the imp bottle. It's all lavender.

Drydown: Now I get a hint of cinnamon if I look for it. It's still mostly lavender with a bit of lemon. The only new development is the very faint cinnamon, and that the whole thing has calmed down a bit.

  6. My imp mostly leaked out in transit, so there was only enough left to test once.

In the bottle: Woody. Like cedar or sandalwood, with pepper added.

First on: Pepper & ginger are the most prominant, but there's something slightly softer in the background that makes it a very nice scent and not too masculine, at least on me.

Drydown: Now the sandalwood is more prominant, both ginger & pepper seems to stand out blatantly on me for a short time and then dissappear completely. I still get a hint of ginger, but not much. It's still a lovely scent, but I definitely liked it better beforehand.

  7. In the bottle: Dragon's blood, vetiver, and patchouli

First on: Vetiver is strongest, then red musk, patchouli, dragon's blood, and just a faint hint of clove. This really is the scent that makes you think of primal days and slaughter. It's very powerful.

Drydown: This turns to mostly vetiver, with musk & patchouli. There is no dragon's blood, and no clove. I like it, but won't buy a big bottle of it.

  8. In the bottle: Cherry, myrrh, and clove

First on: It's almost sickly sweet, and definitely doesn't have that metallic tang I would expect from something named Blood. the dragon's blood and cherry merge together, the myrrh makes it a hot, thick goopy scent, and the clove just adds a bit of "what is that?" to it.

Drydown: The clove comes out a bit more, and it's not as sickly sweet. The main scent though is the same. I really like it & have to get a big bottle.

  9. In the bottle: Herbs, dragon's blood, & whatever the lunacy blend is.

First on: Florals, herbs & everything all mixed together. It's really nice. No one note is distinguishable.

Drydown: It's still all mixed in, nothing is more dominant than omething else. It's a nice blend of florals, herbs, and a bit of fruit? with the lunar oils & dragon's blood. I like it, but I don't know if I'll wear it much, so I htink my imp might be off to swaps.

  10. In the bottle: Sweet, tangy, almost like Dragon's Eye, but there's something about it that's different.

First on: Bayberry is the strongest here, in fact it's jsut about all I can smell. Bayberry & a little bit of dragon's blood.

Drydown:Still mostly bayberry, but I can also smell something almost floral , what I think is the elm, and the dragon's blood. It's a very warm winter-y type scent.

  11. In the bottle: All opium. *swoon*

First on: Opium with myrrh and a hint of a slight floral, but just a hint. This is dark & brooding, what I was hoping Debauchery would be.

Drydown: It stays the same, which is lovely! This might become my signature scent! Well, ok along with Wrath & maybe another one or two. But it's definitely one of my favorites ever, and it also layers lovely with Three Witches.

  12. In the bottle: Almost a generic perfume scent. I think it's because of all the lily.

First on: Mmm...I like this one. I get all the notes listed, in order of strength they go opium, lily, sandalwood, mandarin, vanilla. The generic scent is long gone, and it's a lovely blend of those notes.

Drydown: It's faded away mostly, I can barely smell it. I like it, but it's a similar style to Anathema, so I doubt I'll be getting a bottle soon.

  13. Dragon's Blood is by far my favorite scent, both in day wear and magickally. For my birthday, a friend gifted me with a bottle of dragon's blood he got from the guy that makes all his oils. It's dark brown and very strong in all meanings of the word, being resinous & not cherry in the least. Because I have that, I wasn't going to order the BPAL version, but it was a freebie with my Mi-Go. :P

In the bottle: More resinous than I was expecting, it's a nice balance of resin & cherry floral.

First on: Ok, this one is very floral now. Floral with a bit of resin, but almost no cherry, which is good.

Drydown: The resin has come back to the forefront.

Overall, while I never expected anything bad to come out of BPAL, I was still impressed with the quality of this. I still prefer the other stuff I have, but if I ever run out before my friend can grab me some more, I know that BPAL will make a good substitution.

  14. In the bottle: My nose is broken. But I swear last time I smelled flowers sitting on a bed of dragon's blood, with a slight tang like in Dragon's Tears.

First on: As said by others, the lilac is definitely the most prominant scent. If I look for it I can find the dragon's blood, but mostly it's a floral blend.

Drydown: The tang has come back to where it's almost salty. It's Dragon's Tears with florals added. Nice blend, just not for me.

  15. In the bottle: Sandalwood, something else which could be orris, and then dragon's blood.

First on: The sandalwood & orris blend together for a slightly floral warm woodsy feel, and the dragon's blood sweetens it up just a touch while adding a resinous base.

Drydown: This stays pretty much as above. I love it.

  16. In the bottle: Florals, moss, and something tart. Like lotus mixed with lemon.

First on: It's almost going soapy on me, but not quite. I don't know why, but I was just reminded of the rainforest in Belize where I stayed for a week. It's definitely mostly moss & cypress, with flowers in the background, but I'm still getting an almost citrus scent as well.

Drydown: The flowers come out more, which is a shame for me since I wanted a mossy scent. It's still nice, but I think it's also stuffing my nose up.

  17. In the bottle: It's so strong that I can smell it when I open my imp. At first it's all patchouli, the dirty stuff not the incense. This is the herb. I can also smell some orris, but mainly patchouli.

First on: Now I smell the myrrh and the black musk as well as the others. Black musk never relaly agrees with me like it's cousin red musk, it goes more civet-y on. I like it right now, but I'll have to see if I start smelling like animal's butt.

Drydown: It's staying the same as above, which means I'll probably swap it out, because while part of me really likes it, the other part of me doesn't like waiting to smell like butt. :P

  18. I like this one when I'm in a sweet mood, since I generally hate foody scents and this one has a dark core.

In the bottle: Cherry, then vanilla, clove & vetiver

First on: The cherry vanilla stays on pretty strong at first before it dulls down to a clove base. The vetiver doesn't take over, but just simmers on the bottom.

Drydown: This one stays pretty true to bottle. It hasnt' changed at all since the first 15 minutes or so.

  19. In the bottle: As on the website, it does come out all lotus & juniper, with just a hint of mint. I don't think I like it, but I attempt with all things, so here we go.

First on: Bubblegum pine tree. It's sickeningly sweet with juniper making it more sickly. After a few minutes the mint comes out and tempers things with that damn lotus, and it actually turns into a pretty nice blend.

Drydown: I look down and see a blue & purple painful bruise right where I put Undertow, that I swear wasn't there 30 minutes ago. It's in the shape of the little dip stick swiper. Ok, that freaks me out a bit. The lotus has once again come back, and takes it's place as the most prominant scent. The juniper and the mint seem to have gotten freaked out at the bruise and committed mutiny, because they're gone. It's not a bad scent, but it's a bit too sweet for me. Lotus jsut isnt' my thing. :P

  20. In the bottle: Lavender & violet. I usually don't like lavender that much, but the violet makes it a bit sweet.

First on: It almost goes minty in a sense. It's still mostly lavender, but the other scents are coming out. It smells like the dream pillows I used to make.

Drydown: I like the violet lavender mix. A lot. Weird. The musk is in the background and the vetiver is coming out to blend with the lavender. It's a really perfect blend where you can only pick out notes if you look for them. I can't picture it on a guy, but then I generally don't like men that smell like flowers.

  21. In the bottle: Mmmmm..... This smells exactly like something but I can't think of what. It's heavy cherry.

First on: Cherry & clove, but a marascino cherry, not a juicy fresh one. I generally dislike cherries, but I can also smell the vetiver coming out, which I like.

Drydown: It's turned into a non descript scent. All the notes blend well together and the overall scent is very pleasant, but it's very much like Masabakes, with cherry. I'm trying to figure out why the bottle is reddish in color. I like it, but I'm not sure if I'll keep it.

  22. In the bottle: This smells much different from my first Rage imp. It's dragon's blood and something spicy. This is much more rage like than the sweetness of my first one.

First on: Now it's all herbs & generic flowers. It smells like cheap perfume. Weird.

Drydown: Now it's more like my first imp. It's flowers & dragon's blood, with a hint of pepper or something else slightly spicy. Definitely not invoking thoughts of rage, but it's nice.

  23. Mmmm....this one really does make me think of rolling green hills that you see in films & pictures of Scotland. Damn I need to go there.

In the bottle: At first sniff it's all blackberry, but by the end of the inhale it's all heather. Interesting.

First on: It goes on as above, but within a few minutes, the berry & the heather blend together into the perfect scent that's not too fruit & not too herb. I loooove it.

Drydown: The heather is in the forefront, but I keep getting whiffs of blackberry, which I love. It's the tart berry, not the oversweetened flavor. I still havne't decided if this will be a bottle or another imp, but I definitely like it.

  24. The little squishy brain is both creepy & awesome, but I really have no idea what to do with it so my cat doesn't eat it. I'll probably poke at it in the bag for a week or so before I forget about it. :P *poke*

In the bottle: First sniff is bubblegum, but there's something else there. It's fruits on top with florals blending in to the background, and an arid tang hidden deep down that I think is the tea & ginger.

First on: Pomegranate! Oh how I love you pomegranate! And kiwi. I generally don't like smelling like a fruit tart, but I don't mind this one so much because of my obsession with pomegranates (if only they were easier to eat).

Drydown: After about 15 minutes or so it definitely hits a soap phase. Usually Jasmine doesn't turn this soapy on me, so I wonder what it is. Granted I'm not quite sure what Peony smells like on it's own, so maybe that's it? After that, the tea comes out with a baby hint of ginger & pepper. Then it's pineapple. After about 30 minutes I think I've smelled everything, and then it's gone.

I'm still not sure if this is a keeper or not. I'll have to try it again.
