Imp: Almond extract. Sweet. Almost cloyingly so. Wet: oooh, almost equal parts almond and cinnamon. I like this! Sweet and spicy. Drydown: A soft pretty cinammon scent. Nice, but I would have liked more almond.

Imp: oooh. something very sweet and pretty, definitely reminds me of holiday candy, and a little of sweet hot apple cider. Wet: Still sweet, but with something darker, richer, underneath. Maybe the cypress? definitely more complex than in the imp. Drydown: This became a really nice complex rich smell that kept threatening to go plasticky, but faded into something soft and sweet. I'll enjoy the imp, but that hint of possible plasticness makes me ok with the fact I didn't get a bottle.

Bottle: Juicy sweet pomegranate. Wet: Pomegranate, less sweet, more bitter. Also, this has staying power like whoa. Drydown: A softer smell of pomegranate. This smells absolutely wonderful and I'm on the lookout for more, even though I have a bottle.

Imp:Very floral, of course. It smells like a funeral to me, actually. Like when my grandmother, who was a florist, died. So. Many. flowers. Luckily, the rose isn't overpowering. Yet. Wet: Still floral, but less funeral-like. Delicate and very pretty. Mostly lily, which I like. Drydown: Soft and pretty and floral. Not really my thing, but quite lovely for what it is. The rose stays away!

Imp: Dirty lemon candy. Wet: Straight lemon candy. Lemonheads. Drydown: The cedar really comes out after awhile, and it merges with the lemon for this really unusual, really gorgeous smell, like fresh cedar shavings and clean lemon. A pleasant surprise.

The scent of divine mercy, pulsating and throbbing through the heart of every living creature. Glorious red musk and a halo of golden amber with a touch of wet mango, lavender, and purple sage. Bottle: Sweetness and pine trees. Wet: Some of the mango comes out, but it is mostly the sage, which smells like pine to me for some reason in this blend. Drydown: More mango, but it isn't a juicy or foodie smell. The lavender makes a small appearance, tempering the sage. I love this, although I rarely wear it. A sweet but dry scent.

Imp: Smells the way mint gum tastes on winter mornings. I like it in the imp! Wet: I can smell what I think is the cedar along with the mint. This smells cold, just like winter. What I hoped Numb would be like. Drydown: A clean, cold smell, a little on the sweet side. I really like this and wish I had more.

mp: Lemon pledge over lavender. Wet: Citrus like whoa. No jasmine, and for some reason, the lavender, which I usually like, feels...slimy here. It just doesn't belong. Also this has throw like mad. Drydown: The lavender becomes the dominant note, with just a hint of light citrus. I hate this in the wet stage but oh my, the drydown is pretty. Probably not getting a bottle, but I will enjoy the imp.

Imp: This smells like a candy from my childhood. Dark thick sweet syrup. Really nice, very evocative of my grandmother's living room. A bit weird for a name like Bordello. Wet: Darker than in the imp...more plum than sugar now. Still very nice. Drydown: I don't know what it was before, but now it is those little strawberry candies with the soft center. I love 'em, but I don't think I need to smell like them.

Imp:Flowery jasmine and rose. Hmm. Rose. I'm worried now. Wet:Floral like whoa. Not enough jasmine. Some musk peeking out. Drydown: Rose and jasmine soap. Meh.

Imp: Dark, earthy spices. None of the lighter notes, and none of the tobacco, which is a disappointment. Wet: The tea and the spices kinda overwhelm here, but it is pretty. Some earthiness that I think is the moss. Drydown: Dirty black licorice. Not a keeper.

Imp--Honey and orange blossom, with something heavy underneath, I think the myrrh. Wet--Light and floral, much more of the orange blossom and peach. No rose yet, thank goodness. A little honey still. Nothing of the darker notes Drydown--OMG. The honey amps up like crazy, and is sweeter than that in Hony Mone. The peach adds a little something and this is just lovely. Hooray!

Imp: Smells like creamy homemade chocolate icing. Wet: OMG. This is heaven. It smells like cold chocolate cake. It is so beautiful. I only have an imp!! Drydown: Still lovely. Softer. I would need to slather it on, but that would be a pleasure. Must see if I can get my hands on more!

The End of All Things: empty white musk and mint seeped with solemn lavender, doleful patchouli and vetiver, scythe-sharp yuzu and lime, with geranium bourbon, white sandalwood and calla lily. Imp: patchouli and sandalwood. Smells like Death was at a head shop. Wet: A dirty earthy smell with something soft underneath. This is the death that brings comfort, not vengeance. Drydown: Oh, this is lovely. I thought it would be like samhainophobia, which is horrid on me, but this is soft and gentle and dark and lovely. Dirt and lavender, with a touch of lily. It also lasts like whoa.

Imp: Strawberry candy. Wet: Musky strawberry candy. Not unpleasant, but very sweet. Drydown: Plastic strawberry badness.

Bottle: I can smell the fruitiness of mango, kiwi and pomegranate, and something tempering it...probably the tea and ginger. I've had this forever but never looked at the ingredients before. Wet: Fruity. I want to say it is like a gum-fruity, but it isn't overly sweet. Just...not like fruit. There's something I can't quite place and it always drives me crazy, in a good way. Something peppy. Maybe something peppery, since this has pink pepper in it. I can sort of pick out the tea, and the ginger melds with the fruits. Yes! This smells like a Gingered Fruit White Tea with Pepper! Drydown: Softer, but still peppery fruit. I like this, it just...I want to squish the scent or something. Maybe because I got a squishy brain with it.

Imp: Clove and lemon. Wet: Lemon and something else. very clean, both of them. Drydown: This gets sweeter. Less lemon, more melon and clove and sage. It was very faint, but then, I didn't put a lot on. I'm not sorry I didn't get a bottle, and I'll use the imp.

Bottle: MMM. Thin Mint cookies! Wet: MMM. Thin Mint cookies! Drydown: Thin Mint cookies and vanilla ice cream! YUM! Seriously, this is one of my favorite scents. I'm halfway through the bottle. Good thing I've got two!

mp: spicy and creamy...much nicer than I thought it would be. Something rich and dark there. Brandy? Wet: Still creamy, but more fruity and less spicy. Drydown: still some dark fruitiness, but overall more cakey. I'm torn on this one, as I have MB: Closet for cake-ness.

Bottle--Mmm. Smells like honeyed cocoa. Absolutely delicious. I can even pick out the tonka and almond. Wet--Sharper, but still sweet. I can smell the carnation now and I hope it doesn't overtake the rest. Drydown--sweet florals. I don't usually like florals, but the honey and tonka notes give it something extra. Every now and then the almond and fig come out too. Very nice.

Imp: Rose and chamomile Wet: very faint chamomile and something medicinal. Drydown: Rose scented ointment. This was awful.

Imp: Grapefruit and something sweeter, maybe kumquat? Wet: All grapefruit, baby. Drydown: wow, this morphs into something much softer. Sort of flowery sweet, with a bit of tartness still left over from the grapefruit. I like this, but it faded quickly.

Imp: Icy flowers. Reminds me of when one of my friends was working in a flower shop and we'd go in the refrigerated flower rooms to get an order. Must be the cucumber that makes it seem cooler Wet: Floral, but still getting that cold note. Maybe some aloe? Drydown: goes a bit soapy on me, as florals tend to do.

Bottle--Wow, this is nice. I can smell the jasmine and lavender but there's something dark and spicy here...almost a licorice undertone, but not heavy like Black Annis. Something heavy and thick, making the scent more complex. Wet--the spicy part is more pronounced, almost overcoming the star jasmine. Hm. Maybe it is the musks and the spice together? Whatever it is....it isn't something that I would usually think of as "my thing", and yet...I can't stop smelling it. Drydown--Its gotten a little sweeter, a little lighter. More of the lavender and jasmine notes. There's still enough of the dark spicy to make it interesting. Sexy. This is a perfume with an agenda. A very clear, very dark, very sensual agenda.

Bottle--there's something sharp and dark here....the serpent's bite, perhaps? Dark spices and the vetivert. Wet--It smells like...some spice in my grandmother's kitchen. something that smells the way "coriander" sounds. Yeah, I know, not a good description. Kind of dirty, in the dirt way, not the naughty way. It kind of smells like dirty cloves...like the dirt mutes the sweet part of cloves so all you get is the strength. Drydown--Now its an almost wood-pulp scent. Like what I think Ventriloquist's Dummy was supposed to do and never did for me. I think I'll keep the imp and give it another wear.
