Tea, citrus and ginger combined to make a crisp, clean, summer scent. It is very fleeting though, but on a hot day (like today!) it is perfect. Kumiho is in a word - refreshing!

When you need something comforting or cheering

I second Moxie. That stuff works like a charm. I like to keep the bottle on my desk at work and sniff it when I start to get stressed out. It is also the only thing I can stomach to wear when hungover -
CHAOS THEORY CCLXVII (267) CT 267 is the perfect companion to CT 183. Where 183 is a winter/fall scent 267 is spring/summer. In the bottle: Sweet, sugary and some sort of floral. I am terrible at distinguishing floral notes , but there is definitely some sort of flower in here. Wet: Very similar to the bottle scent. This oil is super girly. You would wear this with a strappy sundress, kitten heels and a flower in your hair while out on a summer date with your beau. It is sweet and innocent. I generally do not like florals since they tend to smell like soap on me, but not this one. It is truely sugar dumped on top of summer flowers, absolutely beautiful. Dry down: It has some staying power and the scent stays true thru dry down. Wow - I can't believe I got two perfect scents for me! I would have never picked this one out on my own but after wearing it for awhile I have fallen in love with it. Thank you Beth!!!!! Previously reviewed by shelldoo. Really? This is my original bottle (ie straight from the lab and never been swapped). I doubled checked the bottle and it is definitely CCLXVII - maybe Shelldoo misread/misposted her bottle number? - or the lab mislabled them?

CHAOS THEROY CLXXXIII (183) In the bottle: Sweet, buttery, caramel with a hint of spice. It reminds me of a Dulce de Leche recipe that I have made in the past that includes sugar, milk and a cinnamon stick. Wet: I pick up a bit of a spicy floral scent which I think may be carnation? This blend is warm, creamy, spicy and sweet. I get vanilla, cream and what I think is a hint of cinnamon, but it may be carnation. The floral comes and goes during the dry down. Dry down: vanilla and skin, yummy! CT 183 is so divine! To me it is the perfect fall/winter scent. It is a scent to wear curled up in front of the fire in a ski lodge with a hot toddy after a long day on the slopes. In fact Hot Toddy would be a perfect name for this scent (even though I have no idea what is actually in a hot toddy - I just love saying it!! Hot Toddy ) I absolutly love it and am coveting my one bottle. Thank you Beth!!!!

The ace of hearts is a beautiful floral rose blend. Sadly florals don't get along with me. I was hoping it might be a bit sweeter (by that I mean sugary) but alas no. It has gone to someone who loved it and it smelled wonderful on her! Pure beautiful rose. On me - dryer sheet.

In the bottle this smells like dirt and fruit. Rich earthy goodness. Once on my skin the dirt begins to fade and the fruit, spice and vanilla come out. It drys down to the most wonderful soft scent, like sweet musky skin. I am so in love with the Queen! Thank goodness I got two bottles, she has already become my go to fragrance.

My dictionary defines Moxie as courage in adversity. This scent is all about that, its comforting and familar to calm your nerves and a kick in the pants to get you going! Wet it is very reminicent of a freshly peeled juicy orange, sweet but tart. As it drys it it starts to remind me of a actual sweet tart. Sadly it does not last long, happily the wonderful labbies sent me a 10ml bottle so I can reapply at will. This is perfect for work I like to keep it on my desk and smell it whenever I need a kick in the pants!

Wet it is chocolate and rum. The dry down reminds me of the incense that they use at mass mixed with dark chocolate. Seriously, very weird but this smells like chocolate and church. In the sexiest way possible of course. Actually it smells like sex in a church. (I am so going to hell for my dirty mind )

Wet it smells like honey and almond extract. It is very sweet, almost too sweet for me and that's saying something because I have an insatiable sweet tooth. However as it drys the almond calms down and the milk and honey come out to play. The dry down is very similar to O, in the end I smell like sweet, milky skin. I can see why everyone loves this.

Thanks to LunaSea I got to test Midway. It is excatly as has been described: sweet cream butter, funnel cakes with powdered sugar, caramel apples. Sweet but with a touch of something (salt maybe) that keeps it from being too syrupy sweet. The perfect comfort food scent. Strangely it doesn't smell too much like food - it just smells delicious. I will be stocking up on this.

Received as a frimp from the lab. Wet it is very fruity and juicy, kind of like JuicyFruit gum. Very refreshing with a hint of spice, but without being overpowering. On dry down it mellows to a lovely spicy soft sweet fruit. Its spicy without being too spicy and sweet but not too sweet. I agree it seems mature - but still fun and kind of sassy. Really a lovely summer fragrance. I really want a big bottle of this.

Iago came with my last order as a freebie (thank you lab!), I doubt I would have ever ordered this on my own. The idea of leather in a fragrance was not intriguing to me. Anyway, the first thing I had to do was figure out what the heck vetiver was - ok looked it up - its made from grass roots - so should smell like grass, a sharp smell maybe? Well I still don't know because I didn't get any of that, Iago came across as deep musk with a hint of leather. I didn't think I would like the leather, but I did, very sexy. Iago is too masculine for me to wear, but I would love to smell this on my BF. It is very sensual, deep and just hot! Ponders how to get the BF to try it. ETA: Got the BF to try this, he loved it and it did smell very masculine and sexy on him! Ordered him a big bottle.

Dorian is my favorite BPAL oil to date. I did not get any of the lemon scent others detected. On me this is pure sugar with a hint of tea. It reminds me somewhat of Auqualina's Pink Sugar, but less sweet and with a bit of musk. Dorian is the perfect day time scent, beautiful but unintrusive.

I really wanted to love this. The description makes it sound exotic and sexy. Sadly on me it was iris all the way - no coconut, hazelnut or musk Florals and I do not get along, I had a headache in less then 30 minutes of applying. I passed it on to my sister, hopefully she has better luck.

Just out of the bottle this is very sharp oranges on me with a slight undertone of vanilla. I don't smell any of the narcissus (although to be honest I have no idea what a narcissus smells like ). As this dries down the vanilla comes to the top and it really mellows out. I like it - vanilla with a bit of spice and a hint of orange.

Spooky reminds me of drinking pina colada's at the Tiki Bar on Islamorada on my 31st birthday - coconut, rum goodness . I love how scents can conjure up memories and in this case a great one! I got this last night and tried it out before walking the dog after work (28 degrees and blowing snow - burr ) and the whole walk I kept smelling my wrist thinking of warmer times! Spooky starts out very strong coconut on me and then warms down to a very light creamy scent. Absolutely delicious, sadly though my skin is eating it up. I may have to look into a scent locket for this one.

This is my first attempt at a review All I could smell was the cinnamon, a different fragrance for me, but I kind of liked it. Then the boyfriend showed up and well, as others have attested, this stuff works!!! The BF has never once commented on my perfumes (unless prompted), however last night he hugged me, pulled back with a wicked grin on his face and said "what is that smell? Why do you smell so good?" and then proceeded to become quite amorous. I will be ordering a big bottle of this with my next order! A big thank you to the lab for this one!!

I did a search of the forum for my problem and didn't find anything similar, but I hope I'm not repeating an old thread. A little history. I am 35 and never been in a really long term serious relationship, so basically I have been sleeping by myself for the last 35 years. I have always found it hard to fall asleep if someone else was in the room. I now have a very serious boyfriend of 7 months and we spend 4-5 nights a week together (and are seriously considering marriage). The problem is I have a terrible time falling asleep when he is there. I thought I would have gotten used to having him in the bed by now, but I haven't. I think this is because I was so used to sleeping by myself, that having someone else in the room makes me self-conscious. I find I can't turn my brain off, random thoughts just run through my head all night and I only get a light, fitful sleep. This is making me cranky and also makes me not want to spend the night with the BF. So does anyone have any recommendations for one of the sleep oils (or other blends) that might help "turn my brain off" so I can enjoy sleeping with the BF? Thanks!! ~PennyPretty
