This is for the Halloween 2009 Boo! Bottle: Sweet and creamy. Somewhat strong. The scent reminds me more of a combination of spun sugar and icing, rather than just one or the other. The cotton is the most subtle scent. Wet: More subtle than the bottle scent. A good thing, since it's a touch too strong in the bottle, and it would be more difficult to wear at that strength. The cotton is much more detectable in this phase, though the creamy sweetness is still noticable and in the foreground. The spun sugar is also more detectable; it doesn't smell like a combination of spun sugar and icing anymore, like I mentioned above. Just spun sugar with that vaguely burnt smell, as if it's just been prepared. I don't notice any souring of the scent here. Dry: Linen and sugary vanilla cream. It's probably a combination of the notes and my over-active imagination, but the perfume seriously reminds me of making rice krispie treats while doing a load of laundry. I like Boo! a lot. Other people seem to like it too, since it's one of my BPAL perfumes that gets the most (positive) comments when I go out, even from strangers.

A spicy rose, with a tinge of orange sweetness. Imp: I can smell the almond and orange peel right off. No rose that I can detected. Wet: Ah, there's the rose! And it's soapy. Pooh. Dry: Rose, sandalwood, clove, and orange. The almond has pretty much disappeared. Blends nicely.

More proof that jasmine does NOT work on my skin. The jasmine does calm down once it dries and morphs into a rose and myrrh combo, but the initial jasmine smell is just too strong, for me. If jasmine works for you and you're interested in the other two notes, it's worth a try if you're looking for an everyday scent, though.

Smells just like cinnamony tea leaf blend, or walking into a tea and/or spice shop at the market; warm, spicy, and sweet. More dry tea leaf than brewed tea. It's predominantly spicy, but I'm also getting a bit of green woodsiness from it. I can detect the peppercorn more as it dries. It never really becomes a dominant note, but gives the blend an interesting bite.

Flowers with an edge of purple fruits and a smidge of incense. The plum in this is very similar to the plum in Bathsheba. Once it dries, it's a pretty blend of florals and purple fruits followed by a woody incense. A womanly, mature scent.

Sweet and bright, for lack of a better word. Somehow makes me think of hot pink hard candies. The dandelion sap lies beneath several layers of sugary pink goodness. On drydown the sap develops more, turning the scent into a sweet and bright green one. This blend is a bit girlish, too. I'm continually reminded of candies or something similar. I think I'm thinking of that coarse sugar they use on cupcakes and the like that resembles crushed rock candy. Makes sense, because it encases the marshmallow smell. The marshmallow smell is more like the inside of a marshmallow rather than the dry outside. I like this. A little goes a long way, too. I'll probably have my bottle for a long time.

A yummy feel-good scent. Sweet floral. A bit heady initially but does soften. I can detect the jasmine and flowers right off, but it isn't cloying as it's sandwiched between the honey and vanilla. The cinnamon trails along behind everything else, and sandalwood shyly joins it every now and then. The sandalwood is a surprise, because it's usually quite strong on me. It does come out a little stronger once the scent has dried, but not by a whole lot. I am reminded of olives, but since I've never smelled olive blossoms before, I'm not exactly sure where the blossoms come in. I smell florals I don't recognize around the top and middle notes; that's probably it. If you're looking for something with florals, and you're normally not a floral person, try this. Definitely. Also try it if you like vanilla and honeys scents.

Florals, wood, and something wet. Has a bit of a spicy herbal undertone. Very dark, murky, and green. As it dries, the florals, wood, and herbs blend together. Also becomes a little sweet. I couldn't detect anything resinous at first, but they become more prominent as the blend dries down. Recommended to people who normally don't like florals.

Really does smell like scorched earth and stone and soot. Also getting something salty, like a sea breeze, and a bit of fruit. Becomes a little more herbal as it dries, though I'm not good at picking out notes as of yet. Green, spicy, and fresh. Surprisingly wearable. I'm not totally sure if I want to use up the imp on me yet. It didn't turn out horrible on me at all, but I'm not sure if it fits me. I know I'll at least use it as a room scent, though.

Bottle: Toasted coconut and sweet rum. Wet: So very coconuty. It's kept from smelling like suntail oil with the rum's gaining strength. Dry: The toasted coconut has mellowed down thanks to the rum and a shy note of tobacco. 1 hour in: Mmm. This is yummy. Smoky coconut and rum. Lasted about 3-4 hours. Something is missing to keep me from purchasing a bottle, but I'll use up the imp.

Bottle: Juicy plum and musk. Wet: The carnation that I previously couldn't detect comes out. All three notes blend together beautifully. Dry: The carnation occasionally rises above the plum and musk, but it's mostly the same. 1 hour in: Same as it was dry. No morphing at all with this blend. I actually find absolutely nothing wrong with this scent, but I can't see myself ordering a bottle. Not sure why; it's a pretty scent. If you're looking for a plum and/or carnation blend that you could wear absolutely anywhere, I would check Bathsheba out.

Bottle: Dark pine; woods and musk. Vaguely spicy. Murky. Wet: Not as bitter as it was in the bottle. It's a touch sweet. Not exactly sure what's doing that, but I'm going to assume it's the labdanum or saffron. Dry: Spicy wood blend with just a smidge of sweetness to keep it from being too bitter. Very resinous. Almost too strong for me. I hope it softens. 1 hour: Yay! It softened. There's a balance between the woods and the spice. Still very resinous. Unfortunately, it only lasted a couple hours. Blah. I think I'll keep my frimp, though.

Bottle: A dark floral. Fitting for all the night-blooming flowers. A bit woodsy. Wet: Amps quite a bit, haha. Bitter florals. Also a bit... sappy, for lack of a better word? Or maybe nectary? It reminds me of stickiness flowers have on hot nights. With that, it reminds me A LOT of summer. More so than any of the floral blends I've tried so far. Dry: Much of the same. 1 hour: Not as bitter as it was. Still has that "sappy"-like smell to it. It doesn't disgust me or anything, but I'm amused by how much it resembles that. Gives me memories. 3 hours in, I can barely smell it anymore. I ordered an imp of this in my search for a floral that would work for me but no dice. It's gorgeous otherwise.

Bottle: Rum, tobacco, and tonka. Wet: Chardonnay comes out to play and lightens the blend. Other than that, everything blends so nicely that I can't really pick the notes out. It smells like sweet, leathery tobacco smoke; a dry scent. "Perversion" isn't really coming to mind, though. It's more of a sensual blend than sexy/perverse. Dry: NOW it's finally turning sexy/perverse on me. Sweet tobacco and leather. If you like tobacco scents, you should really check this scent out. I'm not getting the coconut others have experienced at all here. That's definitely tonka. 1 hour: Little to no change. This scent gently fades away rather than morphs. I hopped into bed about three hours after I put this long, so I'm not completely certain about wearlength. But it was still going steady three hours in. I'd like to try more tobacco scents before I order a bottle of one, but I'm really tempted to just jump the gun on this one.

Bottle: Vaguely spicy, sweet vanilla. Wet: This is weird... Not unpleasant. Just weird. Totally lost the vague spiciness of the bottle scent. Kind of makes me think of cherry, almond, and vanilla extracts. Sickly sweet. Dry: Still getting the cherry, almond, and vanilla extract-like smell. 1 hour in: On me, this is a dead ringer for the cleaner they use in those porta potties. Eww. Going to swap this and hopefully get it to someone who it will work for.

Bottle: Heated copper and lemon balm. So strange how the smell actually makes me think of hot copper but it does. I've never smelled any perfume like this. Wet: It's sweeter. I'm really not familiar with the majority of the notes in this scent, but I know the sweetness of the lemon balm is coming out more. The pleasantly sweet quality doesn't seem to be attributed to just the lemon balm, though. It's probably another note(s) I'm not experienced with. Dry: Much of the same but a little more herbal, spicy, and resinous. 1 hour in: A little less sweet. Herbs, spices, and resins haven't really gained any strength but are becoming more prominent as the scent becomes gradually less sweet. This scent doesn't morph so much as gently fades away. This is SO intriguing; extremely unique. Definitely happy with this one. Will be purchasing a bottle at some point.

Bottle: Very much matches the description. A dark aquatic. Wet: Whoa, vetiver! Wet, broken wood. Soaked vegetation. You get the idea. Dry: Damp wood. Ocean breeze. 1 hour in: Woodsy soap. Not for me.

Bottle: Green aquatic. Very fresh. I'm also getting something zesty, like fresh lemon zest or orange zest. Wet: Getting more of the citrus zest. So very clean. Makes me think of a crisp, cool pond with water lilies. Very positively charged. Dry: Much of the same. 1 hour in: Much softer. Less of a biting/crisp clean than the prior stages. Hard for me to smell, though. Unfortunately, this is a little too clean/soapy for me to purchase a bottle of, but I think I will keep my imp for days when I need some positivity.

Bottle: All of the notes here blend rather nicely. This smells really yummy. Rich, dark, and full-bodied. Wet: The wine and black currant catch my attention. Nice. I can't smell the plum as well as I could in the bottle. Dry: Boozy fruits. Velvety. I like this. It makes me feel devious. The wine and currant are prominent on me. 1 hour in: Same as it was dry but softer. This lasts quite a while on me. About 5 hours. Will be considering a bottle.

Bottle: Light florals and pear. A tad sweet. Wet: Stronger florals. Not as sweet as it was in the bottle. This scent is delicate. 1 hour in: Soapy floral. Not for me. I would try it if you're looking for something clean and innocent, though.

Bottle: This is SO NICE. Salt air, ocean mist, and sasparilla are what I mainly smell. I can pick everything else out, but not as easily as the former. Unique scent. Definitely piratey. Wet: All of the notes blend nicely together in perfect amounts. Biting, fresh, and little badass. Smells more vividly of being on a ship rather than on a dock. Dry: Same as it was wet. This is a perfect summer scent. 1 hour in: More biting. The salt air and ocean mist have headway again. Leather is more prominant, too. This scent lasts quite a while. About 3-5 hours; not quite sure of the exact time. I really loved this. I'd love to buy a 5ml, but I will try to wait until I've sample some other aquatics. I can't see myself having several aquatic bottles lying around. This could PROBABLY be a unisex smell, but I really see it as more on the feminine side.

Bottle: Whoa. vetiver. I know you're happy to see me, but calm down a bit. I can't smell much past the vetiver, except for an occasional whiff of leather. Very strong. Wet: Vetiver calmed down a bit, thankfully. I can smell the leather and black musk now. Dry: With the vetiver getting nice and settled, I actually kind of like this scent now. Everything mixes really well together. I smell something that reminds me of anise, though? Weird. I'm going to guess that it's the vetiver and musk. Very masculine. 1 hour in: I'm still getting the anise-like weirdness. Not complaining, though. Very much a man's leather scent. Not to the point a woman couldn't wear it, but I envision a man every time I smell it. 5 hours later, I couldn't really smell it anymore. I'm really indecisive on whether or not to swap this. I do enjoy how it smells, but I'm not really sure it's me.

Bottle: Ohai, leather and red musk! Myrrh is hiding behind them. I'm sure black amber is there somewhere, but I'm not really picking it up. This is a commanding and womanly scent. Wet: Red musk... leather... In this stage, it's a little harder to pick out each note. It's by no means "weaker" due to that, though; it's still reminiscent of a strong woman. Dry: Leather is dominate now instead of being paired with red musk. Amber finally comes out to play beside the red musk. This perfume makes me feel confident. I like that. 1 hour in: A soft, leathery red musk. Still feeling good about myself. About 6 hours layer, I can still smell it on my wrists. The throw was just right (not too big, not too little) up until this point, but it's fading a bit now. This is my first leather blend from BPAL, and I received it as a frimp. I was afraid of how my skin would handle leather scents, but I must say that I like this. I especially like how confident it makes me feel. I'm not sure about a 5ml yet, but I'm definitely keeping the frimp.

Bottle: Oh god. This smells delicious. And it's sexy! Definitely can smell the sugared vanilla tea spiked with lemon. It even makes me a bit thirsty, and my mouth a bit dry as if it were real tea. My reaction to it actually amuses me in a way, because it makes me think of how Hallward intially felt about Dorian. Wet: More dark than it was in the bottle; more than likely the musks. Dorian is becoming corrupt. Dry-down: A light, sweet musk. I and others near me can still smell it, though. Still in love. No more lemon, but I can't really complain. The tea has made a disappearing act and I'm a bit sad about that, though. 1 hour in: Here's the weird part. On my wrists, I apply it both on the inner and outer (the bony) sides. Dorian is a lot softer on my inner wrists. On my outer wrists, it's much more noticable and I can smell the tea again. I'm used to the scent being stronger on my outer wrists, but this kind of difference is something new to me. Several hours in, I can only detect the barest traces of the musks and vanilla tea. I wish it lasted longer. But even so, I totally don't regret buying a bottle of this untested. I'm sure I can find a way to increase the wear-length.

Bottle: Mint. Caramel and micotiana, followed by the sage and musks. Wet: The caramel is gooey and freshly made --- still warm --- rather than store-bought candies. The mint rides caramel's coat-tails. Sage and nicotiana follow. On me, the musks kind of weave in and out of every note, and they show up in a different place with every sniff. Kinda interesting. Very warm and sexy. Nice throw. A unisex scent. 1 hour in: It's faded noticably, but I can still easily pick out the caramel. Next up is the nicotiana and sage. The musks do the same weaving act they did in the wet stage, and the mint has done a disappearing act. Low throw. Unfortunately, Incubus has little wear-length on me. I find it absolutely perfect for me, otherwise. It could be because I know my frimp is over a year old. I love the scent enough I may order another imp of it eventually, but it won't be immediate.
