In the bottle- Yummy pumpkin pie, with a hint of sticky fruit juice and chocolate underneath. Wet- warm pumpkin, spices, and sweet fruit with a hint of chocolate. The guava and honey come out a little more than the pumpkin. Dry- Vanilla and honey, with a little bit of tropical fruit and spice. Very yummy, but sadly no pumpkin like I was hoping for. Something about it reminds me of South America (maybe the chocolate, spice, and guava?) overall- This smells AMAZING in the bottle, but it seems to fade very quickly on me, and you can’t smell the pumpkin at all on my skin, which was very disappointing! It still smelled great, just not pumpkin-y. I may give this a few more tries (I sometimes find that the perfume changes a little bit once it’s been opened and exposed to air), otherwise I’ll give it to my pumpkin obsessed sister.

In the imp-Beautiful, musky amber. Wet- Warm amber with a touch of a musk, but not so much as to make it masculine. Dry- The floral scents (is that the lotus?) are starting to come out now, and it smells lovely. Overall- It reminds me of O, but less sensuous and foodie, and with more musk. It’s the amber without the honey. It definitely makes me picture ancient Egypt, hot sands, ancient tombs, and incense filled temples to Bast. It seems like a very mature scent, something that would be worn by adult women, but still sexy. Very regal and majestic. I am definitely getting this as a 5 ml.

In the bottle – Sweet citrus and musk. Wet – Juicy oranges and musk with a slight bit of cinnamon. It’s sweet and fiery, but dark. It reminds me a bit of the smell of mulled cider. For some reason I smell leather as well. Dry – No longer juicy, but the sweetness of the citrus is still there and balances nicely with the musk, making it very sexy. I think this may be a bit too masculine for me, but I don't care, it smells amazing. Overall – My first thought after reading the description was “Darn it, it has patchouli in it. Patchouli hates me.” And yet, the patchouli didn’t come out that much, even though my skin usually amps it. What a sexy summer scent.

In the Bottle- Sweet and spicy, and full of musk. Wet- I never thought I’d like the scent of tobacco, but this actually smells pretty good. Hmmmm. Also the myrrh and clove (no idea what opoponax is so I can tell if I’m smelling that or not). This is a pretty masculine scent though, not sure I can pull it off, but I really hope so, so far I’m loving this! It’s really complex, and it smells like the kind of cologne a pirate might wear. Dry- Yummy, warm, dark, sexy and amazing. Like leather and clove and sea soaked ships. Reminds me of pirates! Overall- I am so getting a 5 mL of this. This is one of those rare scents that actually last more than 20 minutes on me, and smells amazing. Reading the notes this is something I would’ve never thought to try, so what a lucky twist of fate I got it as a frimp!

In the bottle – A sweet and tart drink. Wet – Sweet red fruit and booze. Basically the same as in the imp. Dry – Now some mint is coming out (just a little) and I mostly smell cranberries. The smell of the gin has become less intense. Overall – A fun, sweet smell, but I don’t want to smell like I spilled my drink on myself. Guess this is going in the swap pile.

In the bottle – Mmm, it’s sweet without being sickly, and it’s sort of a “Dark” sweetness, like burned sugar. It’s spicy too. Wet – It might be my imagination but the oil feels more viscous than normal, almost sticky. It doesn’t smell very sweet on me at all, oh no! I’m just getting that gross pathchouli smell, how disappointing! Dry – This started smelling really gross so I had to wash it off. Overall – It smells so wonderful in the imp, but smells terrible on my skin (why does my skin always amp the patchouli?). Ugggggh. Even after I aged it a year it still smells nasty on me. Why does my skin always amp my least favorite scents?

In the bottle – Dang, that’s strong! Wet – A very strong medicinal smell, sort of like Vic’s Vapor Rub. It certainly cleared my sinuses! A very cool smell, like something you might wear if you had a fever. There’s lavender, which you would expect to be soft, but this is very strong. For some reason I get a ”minty” smell as well. This wakes me up more than puts me to sleep, but it’s probably something I would wear if I had a cold. I also smell some sort of herb. Dry – This smells like toothpaste on my skin, WTF? Then it fades almost completely. For something that goes on so strong it certainly vanishes pretty quickly. Overall – Although strong, it started out promising, I thought the smell would get better as it faded. But instead it turned into a toothpaste sort of smell and then it was gone almost instantly. This one definitely doesn’t work for me.

This is for the 2008 version. In the bottle – Sugary, with a sickly sweet smell of fruit. Wet – Yep, that’s sugar all right. It smells sweet and wonderful. I’m getting the tiniest bit of fruit. Dry – Warm, almost burned sugar. The fruit is gone. It still smells wonderful and lasts longer than I would have expected, but isn't at all overpowering. The sweetness actually reminds me more of Christmas than of Halloween. Overall – This was my first 5 mL. So far I’ve been afraid to buy a 5 mL without first sampling the frimp, but I took the plunge with this one. Thankfully I ended up loving it. When my friend and I were making bath scrubs we added a bunch of sugarskull to the mix. The resulting bath salts came out smelling amazing, and really yummy, like sugar cookies. I love layering this with other scents, usually amber based ones, it adds that extra little bit of sweetness.

This is for the 2010 version. In the bottle- coffee, cream, and spices Wet- I keep getting whiffs of coffee, milk, cinnamon, and sugar. The smells don’t seem to combine well, they keep changing, and it’s like I’m smelling different scents, but they’re not blended together. It kind of smells like burnt cookies. Dry- Notes are starting to mix a little better so that I get a creamy spiced coffee, but sadly no pumpkin. Overall- It was certainly a yummy, creamy scent, but I’m not a huge fan of coffee so I passed this one on to my sister who loved it. Also, I couldn't smell any pumpkin on my skin which was very disappointing!

This is for the 2010 version. In the bottle – Mmm, sweet egg nog. Wet – The brandy is coming off much more strongly on my skin than in the imp. Dry – Sweet warm cream with nutmeg. Yum! Overall – A super yummy smell, smells EXACTLY like egg nog, but alas it fades in record time on my skin. If this actually lasted on my skin I would love it but it's gone almost as soon as it dries.

This is for the 2010 version. In the bottle – Rose. Just pure Rose. Wet – Just Rose, but real rose, not that weird commercial stuff. It smells like I walked into a flower shop. It also has some aquatic notes to it. Dry – The same as before but, slightly less aquatic, still smells amazing, the perfect rose scent. Overall – I love this, oh my goodness. I usually don’t care for the scent of rose, but this is more of a sensuous rose red rose than an old lady rose perfume. It's beautiful and sexy.

In the bottle – Sex and honey. Yum. Wet – Amber and honey, the vanilla is very faint. I really wish the amber were stronger. It still smells wonderful though. I have to remind myself this perfume isn’t edible because I really want to lick my wrist! Dry – Now it’s mostly honey with the faint scent of amber. But not cheap, supermarket honey, the expensive, dark amber-colored stuff you buy directly from the farmer. It’s sweet, and very erotic! I guess there’s a reason it’s called “O.” I wouldn’t have thought of honey as seductive scent, but this smells pretty naughty, like dripping honey on your lover’s body then licking it off. I almost feel embarrassed wearing it around other people. If I scent can be R-rated than this is it! Overall – Wow, this stuck around a really long time. Usually these smells only seem to last a few hours on me, this lasted about 12 hours! Wow. And my skin chemistry seems to LOVE O. The only problem was the smell of honey kept making me want to lick my wrist. It layers well with other scents (so far I’ve tried it with Titania, Al- Shairan, sugar skull, Pele, and New Orleans) making them smell warmer, sweeter, and sexier. So it’s good on it’s own or combined with another scent. I am definitely going to have to get a 5 mL of this.

In the Bottle – Sweet and fruity. Wet –I don’t get the vanilla at all, how disappointing. Something in this smells musky too. I’m just getting ginger and jasmine, and it doesn’t smell the way I would expect. Hopefully the scent will change as it dries. There’s a little bit of apricot that sweetens it up nicely though. It smells sort of herbal, bleh. Dry – Wow, I’m glad I gave this a chance, the scent has morphed into this delicious vanilla with just a hint of ginger and jasmine. It smells sweet and wonderful! Overall – The notes don’t seem to mix well when wet, and just smells gross at first, but then smell lovely when dry. Unfortunately this perfume doesn’t seem to last long on me, so the dry smell fades quickly. It’s great when dry, but unfortunately I have to wait a while for it to start smelling nice, and then it only last a short while. It’s just not worth it. And while the vanilla is nice, I was hoping for stronger ginger and jasmine notes, if I wanted a strong vanilla I could just order something else. Guess I'll pass this along to someone else.

In the bottle – Amber, wood, and some pine, smells like being in a forest where the trees are dripping with sap. Wet – Same as in the bottle, except the wood notes come out a little bit more Dry – Amber and sap, mmmmmm, very similar to O, but stickier. Overall – I got this as a frimp with one of my orders. I'm not a big fan of pine so I was worried that would be overpowering, but it wasn't too bad. If you like O or Bastet (both of which I love) you’ll probably like this, it's basically a more masculine version of O. My skin amps the amber (which I love), but there’s still some lovely musk left over.

In the Bottle- Sweet cider! Mmmm, so good. Wet- Cider and alcohol. The cider smells divine, but the ale does not. Right now it’s a sickly sweet smell that reminds me like some sort of cinnamon and apple air freshener. I hope the cider notes come out more than the ale and the artificial smell goes away. Dry- Thankfully the sickly sweet, artificial, and alcohol smells vanish on me, and all that remains is a wonderful, warm cider with spices scent. Once again I have to remind myself that BPAL oils are not edible! Overall- Smells like delicious cider, but not cold cider, hot spiced cider. Mmm, warm and yummy.
