i wanted to try bon vivant because it sounded like such a lovely spring scent, especially for the evenings. my skin, however (as usual), had other ideas. completely ate the strawberry, and left all the champagne. i shouldn't have been surprised though; it did that with grog, too, so that all i smelled was alcohol. also, the description made me think of the color pink.

... Offerings of milk, honey and sweet grains were made to placate these creatures, and it is that the basis of the scent created in their name. i was really looking forward to this scent, since just about everyone else seems to love it. i'm afraid though, that it was not meant to be. it was very nice in the imp, but when i put it on... it smelled like a red fruit loop. (which isn't necessarily bad; i'm a big fan of fruit loops.) i kept getting flashes of something deeper and more golden/warmer, but fruit loop was the predominant scent. le sigh. also, my skin ate it in like 20 minutes. bad skin!

well, this is my first review of a bpal scent. in the bottle, it smelled kind of green and mossy; on me, well... it's a good thing i had no expectations. it's very dry and powdery on me, and made my dog sneeze. went into the swap pile, i'm afraid.
