Just a quick and dirty review- hasn't even been on me very long, I'll edit if it's vastly different later in the vial-almost overly perfumy and woodsy. um. wet- I can pick up the leafy/mossy/wood in the background, but the other notes are going all medicinal on me. I go between thinking "menthol!" "eucalyptus" "peppermint" and "cinnamon!!!" drying- ok, that chilled out, thank god. had my daughter sniff my arm (she has the most uncanny sense for picking out notes!) and said what does this smell like? her answer "hm. Fall. and leaves. and some dead grass, very fall, mom." I sniffed and lo and behold, not one single not stood out but it screamed "walking through the wet dead leaves on the ground in the fall!" yay! getting the aquatic note here as well. swoon. It IS the best part of Samhain. Sahmain was way to apple-y. I preferred Lambs' Wool to Samhain, but THIS is what I wanted Samhain to be. 10 minutes later- aw. it's gone meh on me. The sweet medicine smell came back, and the sharp drying leaves and wood is totally scared off. Verdict- 2/5 but I am going to give a proper slather on of these days instead of a teeny sample and see what happens as I go about my day. (dd now says she smells some cider) This may end up in the swap pile, we'll see. ETA- Suck! Off to swap- the medicine is worse and getting sour. Damn. There for 10 minutes it was gorgeous and just what it's meant to evoke. Anyone want a very full decant? lol

Anyone here more knowledgeable than I regarding GC tried Literary Vamp Mircalla? I am so very in love with it, literally my favorite scent ever. I am going to buy a bottle (I almost always stick with decants for LE) but I can't afford to buy a lifetimes worth... Any similar oils in the GC? bc damn, it's awesome.

In the vial- Just like the rest of the Pumpkins- all buttery Wet- slightly pumpkin, but the rose is dominating Drydown- This is mostly rosewater on me. It's like I'm in an older lady's home and she might have a sandalwood candle burning somewhere, and she might be baking something, but she is definitley into rose. 3 hours - Gone. Verdict- 2 This is not unpleasant. But I have no real love for it.

In the vial- Buttery pumpkin Wet- pumpkin recedes a bit and it's sweet almondy honey Drydown- This is getting sweeter and muskier as it goes. And its really light and fading fast Verdict- Meh. Not bad, not great. I think it's off to swap pile

This is the only pumpkin that ended up working on me. In the Vial- Buttery pumpkin with a backing of vague warm spices. Wet- Instantly became SBucks Pumpkin Spice Latte. Very nice. Drydown- Basically stayed very PSL for a good long while, the hazelnut gets stronger as time goes by, Dry- hours later- LONG lasting. This would be great if it didn't go pure hazelnut in the end. Scale of 1-5- 3. Very pleasant. It's seasonal, and I will use the decant, but I don't think I would want more. I may burn this as well!

Well, I think I just found my new No. 1 fragrance. Damn LE's... In the bottle- Huh. Very rich. I can't pick out one note really, but it's heady and a little spicy with some incense. Wet- Rush of warm patchouli!!!! I realize that I am catching more than just patchouli, but my brain just says "patchouli" with different adjectives. Warm, Soft, Round, Sweet. Drydown- this doesn't change much for me, just softens and warms up more! I think I am catching the Clove(warm) and tonka and vanilla (sweet) I can't differentiate the red musk, but musk is usually nasty on me, so if it's there and doing it's business quietly, then we are all happy. 5 hours later- Still can smell this on my wrists though it doens't have a ton of throw. None do for me, usually though. It has a long staying power for me though, most blends are all skin/sweet/soft within 2-3 hours. Verdict- Sweet Holy Fiery goddess! I only have a decant but I may have to break down and get a bottle before it's gone. This is seriously the best blend I have ever used with my chemistry. I have to remember to actually try the rest of the 'weenies and vamps I got. !!! Yay!

Oh god. I died a little. Drool. I just listed a load of imps and this was supposed to be in the box. I had smelled it once in the imp and couldn't bring myself to try it on, it was so medicinal. I was fairly new to the game (still am, really!) and didn't realize just how much something can morph on the skin. I am so glad I tried it! It's not getting sold now! And I think I will go double check the rest of what I dismissed on wet sniffage. in the vial- sharp medicinal! wowsers, clean the sinuses. very green and herbal. Vetiver and lavender. wet on skin- vetiver is amping! I love vetiver, fell in love with it years ago in Ergo's Zoysia Grass candle, and I love it, but it's a little nauseating when it amps on my skin. 10 minutes in- this wigged me out. It almost completely disappeared, and I thought it was already done and I was sad.... 15-20 minutes./drydown- Yumyumyumyum. Patchouli, round fig, dry herbal spice and dusty woods. My favorite things and it works on me very well!!!! It's not super strong, but I am going to slather it on one day when I am not sitting in my pjs at 8:30. we'll see if it lasts longer.

Slathered this one on without looking at the notes. I am fairly new to all this still, and can't always detect individual notes in this, but was pleased with how I "interpreted" the scent! in decant- whoa. didn't want to put it on, smelled medicinal. wet on skin- I thought eucalyptus (juniper), with other scents lurking and swirling, but couldn't pick any out yet. Then, 30 seconds later, it was medicinal menthol with soda or candy or something(sassafras). Not my thing so far, but interesting - nonetheless. 5 minutes later- Blackberry leaf? that is more the impression than actual scent I get. the menthol-y juniper is fading and sweetening and wafts up as I clean the kitchen. I just keep getting hit with a sense of a cup of blackberry tea brewing nearby. right now going on 15 minutes- I like where this ended up. the blackberry I thought I smelled was certainly the fig mixed with herbalness. It turned just powdery enough, but has already faded to almost nothing. I get a little waft every now and then which I enjoy. 3 out 5, but I am enjoying the drydown quite a lot. Wouldn't wear it as a scent very often though. Will use up the decant I have!

Aw. Shucks. I wanted to love this. So far I am not a huge fan of any of this collection. Very clean, which I normally love but it just doesn't do it for me, ON me. This is all floral soap on me. which isn't bad, but I am underwhelmed. DD wants the imp, but I may use it as a home scent after we clean house. mmm.

Meh. Slight pineapple juiciness, which quickly turns to a slightly sweet hairspray smell. Not for me, but I am going to let it age a little and wear it again on a hot day and see what happens. Had to use half my decant to smell it, too. boo hiss....

Aw. I'm sad. I so wanted to like Coyote. I couldn't even wait for full drydown I had to wash it off as it was making me nauseas. This went totally sweet and a little , not sure, cloying? on me. The musk was NOT working in my favor I think. But it's really not fair because it has amazing staying power. All the scents I love fade quickly on me but I washed this off and still detect the scent. It's not so bad now, a little sweet, a little musky, but I wouldn't buy a full bottle for the washed off scent. Off to the trade pile.

My first real review, huzzah! In the vial- I actually tried Jezebel a few years a go and didn't like it. Got this imp as a tagalong off a decant circle recently and my daughter loved it. Without looking at the notes listed she said "honey! It smells like Honey! and I caught citrus Wet- on dd (sh is almost 8, btw) it was bright and honey and then quickly went to baby powder, which she and I both love on her. On me it stays more clearly honey, orange, and sandlewood Dry- on dd- stayed baby powder all night last night, she asked for her own full bottle for her bday on me it now smells pretty baby powdery but with a depth of the sandalwood under. Sometimes I catch a spicy sweet whiff that I adore, sometimes it's all powder. Either way, I like it. Not my fave ever, but I will defitely use the imp and possibly share the bottle with dd if I get her one. Later- I actually catch rose now and again. It keeps morphing. I am so surprised that every rose I have tried from bpal works on me. I always said "can't wear rose" it always wants to go all alcohol on me. But this is I think the third imp wit rose in it that I like. hm. 1-5 scale- 3 on me, 5 on dd happy I tried it again!

Newb question.... I downloaded Hackess' awesome database. yay!~ I am adding in the notes sections the scents I have on order, etc. I am not very good at excel yet, and I am sure there are things I can learn to better utilize this etc! What I don't get is, say I want to update when Hackess does. how do I download her updates without losing my notes? Impossible? Do I have to just add stuff myself? I have on order decants of velvets and le mat and a bottle of planting moon, should I just add this stuff myself? 'cause I don't wanna. ;-) There was something else, I feel, but my kids have distracted me.... ;-)
