When your favorite GC blends are discontinued

The very last drop of my last bottle of Ultraviolet is now gone. Are there any recs for similar scents? -

I broke out my bottle of this today, and I'm glad I did. I get sweet, red, ripe plums on ice and snow. I don't really get the florals of this, but it is definitely evocative of being curled up with sugar plums at a table with someone who loves you. Fantastic I don't know why I don't reach for it more often.

Man, I wish I had skin that made this smell like sweet-tarts, because that would be awesome! On me, however, it is a very dry, boozy scent, with a powdery finish, that to me is a little bit like Lady Macbeth and Bordello had a baby. I do like it a lot, which surprises me since Bordello was not my thing, EVER, but I was hoping for more fruity candy and less va-va-vamp. It's definitely going into my Sexy BPAL section next to Mama Macbeth though.

If your top 5 scents are... Then try these!

I haven't been online or made an order in ages, and I feel like I need new recs now, especially since #5 and #1 are no more. 5. Wolfsbane 4. Leannan Sidhe 3. Cheshire Cat 2. Boabhan Sith 1. Torture Queen (Honourable mentions go to Kumiho and Festival of Anuket) -

I received this with an order as a frimp before I went on vacation. I rediscovered it in the box and decided to give the imps ago. I wasn't too hopeful about Tamora -- amber is notorious for going horribly wrong with my skin chemistry with one exception (Hi, Torture Queen) but it was a pleasant surprise. In the imp I get mostly heliotrope, but on my skin I get the peach and vanilla, ground out by the sandalwood. It reminds me a bit of a Wallaby Darned at Outback Steakhouse. I don't know whether I'll get a big bottle of it, but I'm definitely keeping the imp.

Looking for any Harry Potter scent recommendations

Alecto Carrow would have to have her own scent--Alecto, that is, it's made for her!--Olive leaf, raspberry leaf, vetiver and cedarwood. I always see Mrs. Zabini as Arachnia the Spider Giirl-- White musk, wild plum, vetiver, black coconut, verbena, fig, and lavender. Daphne Greengrass as Bewitched-- Deep, luscious green and berry scents that evoke images of woodland witchcraft and the raw power of nature: blackberry, sage, green tea, wild berries and dark musk. Katie Bell as Squirting Cucumber--Yikes! A spurt of wet, grassy greenness. Barty Crouch Junior-- Antony--A warrior's scent: the green hills and grasses of the battlefields, the resinous incense from the prayers to his Gods, and a touch of the musky leather of his armor. Ambergris and frankincense with sage, and basil. -
This was in my first imp pack, mostly because I was drawn to the idea of a perfume that smelled of blood. This scent does evoke this, I definitely get the metallic twinge, and the heady smell of blood, before the clove sweetens it out and reminds me of clove cigarettes. It reminds me of a story I read once, where a vmpire killed in a goth club.

This was gorgeous, when it smelled like plums on me, (even though I don't like the taste of plums--go figure) but then it went powdery, and I smelled like a hothouse. Not the kind that you can spend all day in, but the kind when the flowers are half dessicated, and it's more death than blooming. Which, I suppose, is more appropriate for Morgause, but smelling what this is like on my aunt, makes me very sure that it's just that my chemistry hates florals.

I love swank. It's fruity and boozy, and as long as you don't get pulled over by a cop who thinks you've been enjoying too many martinis I don't think he'd believe it was your perfume. I'm so glad I have a 10 mL of this, but I don't know if it'll last. This is my everyday go-to sent if I don't need the aura of another BPAL. It's sophisticated and fruity.

I like this one, and I don't normally do florals. It's cool, cold, almost calculating, but the sweetness and the depth of the violet sweeten it, and warm it a bit. It honestly reminds me of a Shakespeare line--"Look like the flower, but be the serpent under it." This is that perfume. You think it's a nice floral but then you hit the bite, and it stings so wonderfully. Yay for a floral I can wear.

This is one of those scents that make me wish I was straight, just so I could have a man to slather this on when it fails on me. Rose ruins yet another blend--one that would have been yummy otherwise. It's like an evil Romeo and Juliet, the bad boy who hides in the rich girl's gardens to whisper to her about pirate ships and adventure and excitement, far away from mauve boudoirs and too-tight tea corsets. And then the rose amps, and it smells like I rolled around in my mum's smelling salts.

This was a frimp from the trading post, and I could have cried from the fact that it just doesn't work on me. It starts out with heady black leather, like a good domme in a particularly sadistic mood, who floodds the area with incense to dull your senses. It was sucha nice experience, until the amber came out to play, and turned the hot sadistic domme into grandma in a leather corset.Damn you amber.*cries*This was a frimp from the trading post, and I could have cried from the fact that it just doesn't work on me. The absolute darkest scents? dark, ghostly, haunting, scary,
Aingeal replied to Cinder's topic in Recommendations
I really love sort of the dark evil scents, and right now I've been on a poisoned apple kick, because, seriously, it's an evil apple. So I'm interested in your favourite dark or evil scents, especially if you can think of an evil alcohol notes--because my skin loves booze notes, or candy notes. (I would die for some evil candy.) Suggestions? -
This is the lifeblood of Deadwood, and the deathplace of Wild Bill. The leather is heavy, but it's dusty leather, like cowboys who have been out riding in the desert with leather chaps or ants on, and the desert sands and dust have clung to it and worked it's way into the skin and hair of the rideres, who just want heavy drinks of whiskey and sarsaparilla I smell blood, but no one else mentioned it, so it might just be me. Definite keeper for when I miss riding. Thanks for the Goblin Squirt, Goblins!
