i recently went on a trip to amsterdam so i ordered a imp to bring along with me, i normally don't wear florals but i thought it would be fun to have and put on once or twice. then when i got here and tried it on, it was perfect, light sweet floral and green tulip stems. it's kinda clean smelling in the bottle but that didn't last long after the dry down. it's staying power was actually good for me, not on my skin but i keep getting little sniffs on my coat lapels and scafs (winter time in holland is cold) and everyone told how lovely i smelled. it was wonderful to have a new scent to wear on a vacation that i can wear at home to feel nostalgic.

i wonder if this wasn't labeled as "lust" if it would still make me feel all squirmy and flushed. it smells so passionate and dirty. i'm not usually a patchouli and myrrh person but the ylang ylang really sweetens it up and it last for ever. i get a ton of, "oh, that you wearing?" too. i have been wearing bpal for over a year and i just discovered this, it's fast making it's way into my top ten.

in the bottle it smells just like snake oil and lust mixed together. wait, i'm going to get my bottles...... okay, i put two drops of of lust and snake oil on one wrist and two drops of smut on the other. yeah, they smell almost the same. smut has a little more dirty musk in it but yum, i like it. the throw is strong also. it does smell smutty too, kinda like two people just wallowing around (doing the nasty) in room full of sooty candles, nag champa and listening to edith piaf all night.... rating 4.8/5

today i got my lupercalia order and while i was sniffing my bottles my husband and a friend where sniffing all the frimps. when they got to pele (which i have two imps of) they both shouted out, "rubbing alcohol" and i just dismissed it as untrained noses. when i finally got around to it i found out that they, believe it or not, where right! it is alcohol, plain, straight alcohol. i even put a a dab on and it evaporated right away, left zero fragrances and it totally clear. has anyone experienced this before? i'm i crazy?

ahh man, this is such a sarah smell! minty, creamy and buttery like melt in your mouth butter mints, it's very foody. on the skin the mint comes out and really jumps around but as soon a it drys down a bit it kinda takes a back seat. it really turns into a sweet creamy foody buttered vanilla. i love every bit of it.

like all 29 people said before me, this smells just like brownies. it does have staying power and doesn't change on dry down but......i already have bliss, velvet and 13. i think i'm chocolate scented out, which is odd for me considering i'm a foody bpal fanatic but realistically i'm never going to use up 4 bottles of chocolate themed oils..

okay jewelbug, that was too funny but i get it! i can really smell the sandalwood in this along with all the spiciness but......ouch! it really burns my skin which i have never experienced before. dummer... smell 4 out 5 wearability 1.5 out of 5

i'm a landscape designer so i knows me some dirt and this is dirt! the good, i'm happy to be planting in it because it rich and full of humus and organic matter. the only thing is fades super fast. it's a hit at the nursery i shop at though...

if someone made a dragon's blood flavored ice cream it would smell like this. it's lovely and creamy sweet and everyone loves to sniff me when i wear it. on a strange note it kinda smells like super fresh red vines on me depending where i'm at in my cycle, odd i know, but i love red vines so i don't mind. rating 4.7 out of 5

in the bottles it's wow! it smells like a mix of pink moon and chaste moon, pink and creamy to the max. i can see how it can turn kinda plasticity but that only last for a split second and i really have to jam my nose into it... rating 4 out of 5

yummy and that is what everyone who smells me when i wear this say too! it's so sweet, cozy and creamy. it is very foody but i do good with foody. rating 5 out of 5

this is a funny little bottle. when it first came out i didn't really give it a second thought but at a full moon invent at the black broom i took a little sniff and fell in love. i won't have even bothered ordering an imp. when i wear it it feels like i just put on antique lace and a drop of graveyard dirt. wait.... i just sniffed those ones together and sniff black opal and i was right, try it. rating 4.5 out of 5.

Sugar Cookie 2005 well, i have to say i'm kinda sad. i loved last year sugar cookie, of which i only had an imp, so when i found out there was a new one for this year i used it all up. when i got the new one i slathered it on, took a deep breath and was super happy buuuutttt it slow turned odd. kinda burned and dirty. maybe it's just my odd chemistry because it's the last day of my cycle or it's just a bad blend for me.....

wow, you where lucky. i will sometimes put a little on at night before bed and i find that i get a deeper sense of the smell. well, 3.45 in the morning i'm running to get my imitrex. way to floral and clean for me. i'm scared just to open the bottle now and see if i can pick out any notes. silly head! damn, i have never smelled a good true to life osmanthus yet. i'll just have to go out into my yard to do that i guess....

wow, joseybird said it right! i first thought, merlot?!? and then my husband said, red wine?! huh, strange. on the skin though losses that boozyness and it kicks into maple/brown sager land. ah, i like it here....

in the bottle it's strong (my husband opened it and i could smell it a room away) and sweet! i also get the cream corn smell but i like it. (a friend who doesn't really have a good sense of smell said moth arm pits?!?! first off, arm pits? moths don't have arms!) on, a whole new story! there is a spiciness there that i never noticed in the bottle, way yummy! kinda butterscotch, nutmeg, cookie thing. i do wish it stuck around on the skin more...

wow, my new LE halloween fav! i was starting to think i was off my rocker because i was reading a lot of "smoky, boozy, thugish" and i was only smelling spiced sugar cookie! i love this on or as a room/car scent, i only wished is lasted on the skin longer!

in the bottle: wow, that is a gin martini for sure! wet: if you don't know gin think juniper berries and alcohol. this is a very clean smell without the annoying aquatic notes. dry: it's does stay true to through the dry down. i also get the gin and tonic smell too or a martini with a lemon twist. i don't really smell the vermouth or the olive. over all: i like it but i don't think i need to buy the bottle. it will be great for a holiday party though. 2.5 out of 5

aunt caroline's joy mojo or high john the conqueror because they both work wonders! i haven't tried has no hanna but here is the description and all of beth's voodoo oils that i have tried really do what they say. brings a rush of good luck, lifts the spirit, and helps alleviate depression. so, i'd say give it a try!

gingerbread poppet layered with dorian smells just like the chai i get at the little coffee cart by the community garden i go to!

13 In The Bottle: smells like chocolate brownie batter with orange peel in the in the mix. Wet: the tangerine, currant and mandarin really pop out but i still smell the chocolate quit a bit. yummy... Dry Down: here comes the iris and white tea. Dry: the chocolate (which is supposed to be white chocolate but i never really got that, which is fine since i'm not a big white chocolate fan) has kinda a hazel nut twist to it. it reminds of this yummy chocolate fondue my husband makes with triple sec. dry i can really smell the iris which is a floral powdery kinda scent. Over All: i love this, i can't what until the next friday the 13th to order an other bottle. i brought it to my mom's to sniff and in the bottle she didn't really like it (too stronge she said) but on she loves it too. rate: 5

Snake Chamer i got to sniff and dabble in wickedgoddess's bottle today. In The Bottle: wow, this is not what i expected at all, yummy. i eyed wicked wondering if she relabeled a well aged snake oil. Wet: oh, snake oil and o with out all the powdery smell. Dry Down: this little guy is strong. keep in mind i was sitting in a tai food restaurant with tons of bpal being passed about and i only tested a small bit with a toothpick and i can really smell it a lot. Dry: Over All: i would have never ordered a bottle of this but now that i have tested it i'm going to have to get a couple now. i tried on a drop of this on around 2ish and i can still smell it at 1 in the morning. rate: 5 EDIT: This is really Snake Charmer --Shollin

Machu Picchu In The Bottle: mangos and tropical flowers. Wet: strange that there isn't mangos listed in the note because i swear i can really smell it. Dry Down: a little soapy but nice, i put this imp (free from the lab) on my swap list but i think i'm going to take it out! Dry: femy in a way that is not girly but not overtly sexy. still kinda soapy. Over All: this i not a smell for me but i'm going to take it off my swap page and give it to my mom. it's a smell i want to be around but not wear strangely... rating: 3

Chaos Theory II: CDLXIV (464) In The Bottle: the first time i opened the bottle i thought mint! i was in a rush and didn't really have time to really stop and think about it. (okay, maybe it's because i wanted it to be mint...) the second time i opened the bottle i smacked my forehead and thought, duh, lavender. i mean, you could tell me this was a single note and i would totally believe you. Wet: hmm, still lavender and the good sweet non-musky kind too. Dry Down: lavender always kinda reminder me of nice men's cologne and this is kinda doing that too. Dry: yep, there is that cologne-y type note there but nice and sweet still. i would almost swear it's just pure lavender but not having ever sniffed the bpal lavender SN i'm not sure though it sure smells and acts like other lavender SN i have sniffed in the past.... Over All: love it. i'm not even sure if i want to make an imp from this to swap, even though i told myself i would....

in the bottle: wet foliage and flowers. not rose or gardenia more like a wild flower kinda smell. i can really smell the aquatic note which does not sit will with me. wet: you know what, i can't bring myself to put it on. aquatic notes give me a headache. sigh.... scale of 1-5: 1
