There is something very similar to When the Winter Chrysanthemums Go here. I think it may be the same snow + amber combination. The violet is quite pretty here, and not sharp in the slightest, but that may be the amber and orris working together to soften it. This is beautiful.

Somebody recommended this in a thread as a smoky lavender, so immediately I had to hunt it down. And YES!! Smoky lavender!! It's not an astringent lavender on my skin, but a smooth smoky version that is downright sexy. The citrus only really comes out in the initial wet stages, and becomes an indistinct sweet vibe as this blend dries. The cedar and smoke come out and WOW. Just, YUM!

Yes this is very green on me. And green scents tend to go soapy on my skin. This blend is no exception unfortunately. It goes sweet and soapy within 10 minutes.

I was a little afraid of this as the rose-infused amber scared me. I had tried something else with rose-infused amber and it went all rose all the time on my skin. Here it behaved and I only got a hint of the rose. It turned into a dusky citrus scent on me. The orange and apricot were fruity without being overly so, while the amber lended a depth and sweetness. The sandalwood note here is gorgeous, as is the patchouli. The whole thing ends up feeling like a sunset on skin.

I got mostly styrax and olibanum with plum in this one. The lettuce note was a little more prominent in the wet stages, but it didn't stick around very long. I got absolutely no tobacco here, which was most disappointing, as I love me some tobacco. Overall, this just didn't blend well with my skin chemistry I don't think. Something was just off and a little nauseating. It was very masculine on me, so maybe that's my issue.

Well, the frankincense here behaved surprisingly well on my skin. Normally it goes to playdoh. This wasn't a powdery blend like I was expecting from the three ambers. It did go a little perfume-y on me though. It was dry and a little citrussy from the verbena I think. The heliotrope was not a predominant note here, but rather something that floated through the blend.

And again, I liked this much better than I thought I would. Dragon's Blood and I have an interesting relationship in that I can't always wear it, but when it works on me, it's really nice! This has a hint of similarity to German Expressionist Horror on my skin, that same kind of sweet dark and dangerous scent. The basil doesn't come out for me much, and instead it stays predominantly myrrh, spices and DB. I like it, but I don't know if it's bottle worthy.

Okay, surprisingly enough I liked this one more than I thought I was going to. Its a sweet, light scent that goes high-pitched but soft on me. I was expecting something a little more harsh what with the metals and mint and lemongrass, but it wasn't sharp on me outside of the initial wet stage. I think the mint did a lot to soften this, so that it the ozone wasn't screaming on my skin.

This does remind me of a fruitier version of Faith. Sweet and luminescent, I cannot immediately distinguish the individual notes but if I start hunting for them, I can find them. The orris is indeed violet-like here. I do agree with the comparisons to The Girl. However, I find this to be a little sweeter and less "perfumey" than I found The Girl to be. The pear and moonflower are predominant notes on me, with orris providing a powdery undertone. I like it, but not as much as I thought I would.

Ok, I got a blast of coconut in the wet stages and it burnt off pretty quick during the drydown. As this dried though, it became very similar to Theodosius from the Carnival. Almost indistinguishable really. Theo works much better on my skin than the released Dorian does, so this was win!

This was so green on me it went a little soapy. Very clean and light. But soapy nonetheless.

This is more apple blossom on me than strictly apple. I'm getting light florals in the background as well. Sweet, airy and light. Very pretty.

Ok, I've looked and I can't find this thread anywhere? Does anyone know where to find it? Now I'm dying of curiosity!!
-
I'm getting a teensy bit of ginger but this one is predominantly flowers on my skin. I'm getting lots of white flowers here. Hmmmm.... maybe my skin is broken?
-
Very sweet and candy-like. I'm getting cherry and watermelon here, but a candy-like version. Jolly ranchers anyone? There seems to be a bit of a vanillic undertone as well.
-
BLARGH! Maple syrup and butterscotch. I'm getting some weird celery note here too, which can happen with some of the really sugary scents. Not for me.
-
I agree with the comparison to Jazz Funeral. There are heady florals here, with some dirt and a little bit of rum. It's kind of "perfume-y" for me though.
-
Yup, stompy screaming gardenia. I do NOT like this one at all. It quickly goes soapy on my skin. Not a fan.
-
Red musk and a hint of ginger and lily. I can't really smell the leather until much, much later in the drydown. This is surprisingly soft. I'm not getting any citrus to speak of.
-
Crisp green apples!!! This is the truest apple scent I've come across, it actually makes my mouth water. As it dries I do get "baked" apples more. It turns soft and warm as opposed to the crispness of the wet stages. I like this one, and normally I'm not one for fruity scents. YUM!

Hrmmmm I'm not getting anything vanilla here. I do get violets and amber and a touch of sandalwood. I'm also not getting anything musky either. It's very very pretty. I like this one alot.
-
SOAP! This is dryer sheets and soap and a white floral on me. WHEW! That is almost immediately headache inducing, As it dries, it seems to calm down a bit but it's still sharply "clean". I think I can detect some rose in here too.
-
Yup, roasted meat. It's actually kind of making me ill, so I have to wash this off immediately.
-
Ok, it should be noted that my skin amps the heck out of jasmine if it's in a blend, and that's pretty much all I can smell here. I did smell violets when this was first applied, but now it's all screaming jasmine.
-
Lavender and sage for me here. This does call to mind the Panacea line. Sharp and astringent, I'm not finding any sweetness here, but it is oddly calming. (I've been in a state of near panic all day, and I just noticed that I'm more relaxed than I've been).
