Red musk and coconut. This is a creamy musk scent. A little heady. A little later in the drydown I can smell something a little floral, but not overly so. This is a little too much for me.

Thirding the grape candy description. I'm not getting anything resembling wine on this one. Just sweet grape jolly ranchers (or something to that effect).

Wow, I am not getting ANYTHING but red musk here. It's pretty much dominating the blend. I can't find any other notes. This is smack-you-in-the-face red musk on me. Much later in the drydown a vanilla-like suggestion appears, but WOWZA, it takes awhile to come out.

This was predominantly dragon's blood and cedar on me. There was a bit of greenery in the opening stages but it faded rather quickly on me, leaving me with db and woods. This was DRY!

Grassy and green. Crisp, light and refreshing. Sweet but not overly so. Springy, with just a hint of aquatic. I can smell some very light florals here too.

I get the lavender and clary sage. I don't smell any carrots but I think I can detect a faint note of hay underneath. It does smell like something from the Somnium line as z_z said!

I'm getting sweet tea and florals here. Light sweet and summery. I can also smell some melon as well.

GARDENIA!!! Screaming, headache inducing gardenia. Ouch, this hurts! As it dries, I can pick up an aquatic component which further into the drydown does start to become more reminiscent of the cucumber note that fairnymph mentioned above. This is incredibly soapy on me, and not something I can wear.

Yup, chocolate and rose here. But the rose is pretty faint on me. There is a powdery aspect here too. I quite like this, and I'm not one for rose scents.

This started out a little sharp and rather generic-cologney on me. It warmed considerably as it wore, but something started to smell.... funky. Like, funk. Like unwashed funk. Ok, something here definitely does not agree with me. In a really bad way. Gew.

Ok, so I wanted to see what the fuss was all about and the lovely Ibfury sent me a tester. She's wonderful. I put on just a touch, and WHEW! All leather all the time!!! I can just barely smell the cardamom underneath the LEATHER but beyond that... nothing! No bourbon, no patchouli, no NOTHING! So, I am saved from trying to track down more of this!

Like Hope, this is exactly as described - sugared violets. Unlike Hope, the violets and sugar stay in relative balance on my skin. I think this might be the same sugary/vanillay kind of scent that TKO is, but with violets instead of lavender. It's quite comforting and pretty. It stays rather cool, but really nice.

This is exactly as described - sugared rose. The rose starts amping a little bit as I wear it, and as it continues to try, the rose starts to overtake the sugary notes. Eventually, this is just rose, which really doesn't work on me.

Ok, I love vanilla and I've never had a problem with any of the Lab's vanilla notes before so I figured I was safe. Not so much. I think this may be in part to my skin chemistry recently changing, but this turned into a hot mess on my skin. Entirely too sweet and cloying and just tooth-aching. I had to wash it off.

Hmmmm, I thought I had reviewed this but I see that I haven't yet. When first applied, the chocolate is the predominant note by far. But almost immediately it fades and blends seemlessly with the rest of the notes. The fruit comes out and sweetens it, while the incense and myrrh deepen this blend. OMG this is LOVE!!! Sweet, dark and yummy. I think the herbs here are preventing it from getting too foody for me. I almost can't describe how amazing this is. I am pretty nervous around chocolate scents, because most of them don't work. This definitely does.

There is a sparkling quality to this blend that almost teeters on effervescence. Reminds me of the same quality in Faunalia from this year's Yules. It's bright, and sweet. I get a faint soapy tinge to this, but it's not overt. The frankincense doesn't go to play-doh like it usually does. I like this, but I'm not in love with it.

I was concerned about the amaretto note here, because almonds and I tend not to get along, but I shouldn't have worried. This is slightly boozy on my skin, but the almond/amaretto doesn't overpower anything else. There is a sweet chocolate/plum combination happening here that reminds me of the new 13 (November 09). It does get a little more powdery on the drydown, but it's not a gramma-powder. The ginger is really faint on me, I have to search for it. And the fruits lend a sweetness. I like it, but I'm not sure how often I would wear it. For my chocolate/fruit/musk combo, I think I prefer 13.

I must say, I was really disappointed by this one. It quickly turned sharp and overly masculine on me. My skin makes this turn to general cologne, and very very strong cologne at that. Darn! I love me some lavender and sandalwood, but this seems like it just was not meant to be for me.

This has a metallic tang to it when first applied that made me a little scared, but it quickly smoothed out. This was surprisingly more "perfumey" than I anticipated, but in a really nice way. (I normally don't go for the perfumey blends). It settles into a rich, smooth scent thanks to the moss and patchouli, with undertones of flowers. It feels like a warm scent on me. It's really quite lovely, and the husband commented favourably on it. *I should note that this is probably a decant of the prototype, as it seems to be quite aged. It is labeled "Original, unreleased" so I have no idea how old this actually it. The oil seems to be a warm golden colour, and appears to be thicker than normal.

Wet, the sandalwood and fig are the most predominant notes on me. As the scent dries and settles, the apple blossom comes out more, and the hyacinth as well. It turns into a sweet fruity-floral blend with the sandalwood providing some depth to it. I like it, but it's a little sweet for me.

I have a bottle of the v5 from the previous trunk show, and in comparison v3 is much more floral. Where v5 is Orchids and Patchouli/Earth, v3 is a mix of Orchids and other flowers predominantly. Further into the drydown I can detect a bit of vetiver underneath it all, but it's very faint on me.

Yup, I definitely get wisteria and jasmine here. My skin amps the heck outta jasmine, and almost immediately that's all I can smell.

I get gin, or some other sparkling booze here, crisp and refreshing. As it dries, there is a creamy vanillic sweetness that comes out. I agree with the benzoin or tonka guesses as there does seem to be some depth to it. I also get some leather, but it stays relatively quiet on me. This does tend towards the masculine but I quite like it.

There is definitely a metallic note that is not loving me very much right now. Which is too bad. The leather is actually behaving here, but I think it's because the metallic note has beaten it into submission. The rest of the scent seems to be pretty soft.

There is an initial blast of pine and what smells like cleanser to me. As it stays on my skin it sweetens and mellows a bit. The pine is still dominant here, but the cleanser vibe seems to go away and I get more fruits. There is a bit of a fizzy sweetness that starts to come out. Further into the drydown I get the honeyed bit previous reviewers have mentioned. And the cherry starts to become a little more at the forefront of the scent. It's sweet and a little boozy at this point.
