Leather and cloves. There's a hint of woods beneath, and I'm not getting much ginger here. I think the tonka might be sweetening and smoothing this out, and the black musk here is gorgeous. Now, I would give this perfect marks, had I not tried Velvet Bandito before the Count. For a dark and sexy clove, I much prefer the Bandito. But the Count is not bad in the least!

This is a dark and spicy forest! I like this on me okay, but I am dying to smell it on my husband! The leather isn't sharp patent, but more of a supporting player. The pine isn't in your face either. The opoponax lends a sweet depth. For a little bit in the early stages, this takes on a distinct cologney vibe, but it mellows and smooths out pretty quickly. If Sin went through a naked run in the forest at midnight, this would be the smell you get.

This went into headache-inducing territory for me. The coconut never came out, and the orris just took the reins and slapped me clean in the face. This is NOT a blend I can wear apparently. It was overly powdery, with a hint of floral (and I think that may have been the orris going violety, which it has been known to do on my skin). There was no sweetness here, but rather a dry and grating scent.

Ok, this starts out as something I can only describe as "Tap-shoe leather" and stays that way for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time. Eventually the leather becomes worn and the musk softens this a little bit, but the shiny tap-shoe leather stage gives me a headache.

I would describe this as a light brown scent. A little powdery, slightly nutty, light and earthy. It didn't last very long at ass on my skin unfortunately. I liked it in a pleasant and inoffensive kind of way, but it wasn't overly interesting for me.

Wet, this is dark and oppressive fir. As it dries, the earth and moss notes come out more, softening this a little. The moss lends a little sweetness, and cuts the scariness of the fir. The end result is quite nice, a little dirty and earthy sweet.

Cumin and mint do not agree with my skin at ALL! This ended up smelling so bad I had to wash it off! It started off nicely though, with a musky, masculine kind of vibe. I'm disappointed. Damn skin chemistry!

The lime is quite a bit stronger while wet than dry. As this dries though, the sugar cookies and bay rum come out and sweeten and smooth the lime. The tobacco here is wonderful, and the whole blend becomes a smooth and sensual but comforting scent. It is similar in vibe to Wulric for me, but not similar in scent.

Dirt, juniper and flowers (I'm getting rose here)! Not for me.

This reminds me a little of Mad Sweeney, what with the woods and booze, but it has a distinct complexity that is really intriguing. There does seem to be a hint of "perfume" here but it's not just perfume - if that makes any sense. I really like this! The salt doesn't really show up for me, at least not as an identifiable note.

The anise is a definite standout here. The sandalwood grounds this blend, while the cherry blossoms sort of float through the scent. Its light, and nice, but I can't see myself wearing it very often. A little girlish for me.

This went very powdery on me. The clove was subdued, but something here was very reminiscent of Schwarzer Mond - maybe the opoponax? This wasn't as dark as I was expecting it to be, and it ended up quite light and a little airy. That may have been the powdery vibe though.

Wet this was heavy on the absinthe. As it dried through, the rose water and lilac took over, turning this into a predominantly floral blend. The scorched sugar never really showed up for me, which is a good thing because my skin does horrible things to sugar. The rose ended up amping on me, as it usually does, so this was a no-go.

This is a warm and enticing skin scent. It sort of envelopes you and hovers pretty close, but hints of it will catch you and others close by off guard. The grey amber is familliar from Sapphics, and the carnation note here is a total standout. It is a little floral-y at first, which I blame on the peony and hyrdangea. As this dries though, the cypress and juniper come out, lending a bit of a green woodsy feel. Smooth and quietly sexy. I quite like this.

This is perfumey in a way that I usually don't like my scents, but here, it's stunning. There is an exotic richness to this blend that is just breathtaking. This had the potential to go all floraly doom on my skin but the honey/sandalwood/musk combination prevents that from happening. There is a soft floral overtone that combined with the musk is a little reminiscent to Brides of Dracula. This is glowing and beautiful, but it's a little too elegant for me.

Wet this was strongly lavender, with a sweet resinous edge. As it dried, this blend turned to total playdoh on me, which is usually what happens when I try to wear blends with a predominant frankincense note. It was really soothing and wonderful, but I just can't pull it off.

Exactly milk chocolate. Wearing this, I am immediately thrown back in time to Easter egg hunts at my house growing up, where my mom would hide those little foil wrapped milk chocolate eggs around the house and write out overly-elaborate rhyming couplets for us to decipher in order to find said treats. This is the smell of victory, and those eggs.

Wet there is a distinct scent of fungus and decay a la Graveyard Dirt. This fades as the scent dries, whereas GD retained that scent throughout it's wear-time. As Yorick dries, this goes a little powdery on me, the bone and dust notes becoming more prevalent. It softens a little and becomes a little sweeter. There is a hint of something spicy in the background, which is calling to mind Penny Dreadful. I like it, but for my dirt scents I'm more drawn to Penny.

Ok, the wet stages of this one on me are just gross. I know, it's harsh to say that, but no other descriptor really fits. Just, gross. The cacao and corn and wine combine into a very disjointed scent. You can smell each component distinctly as they are trying to achieve harmony and it's really disconcerting. Once I toughed it out past the initial five minutes or so, it started to blend together a little better and after about 1/2 an hour it's a sweet earthy blend. Really quite nice, but I don't know if I want to put myself through the wet stages of this again.

It's pretty much an herbal incense blend on my skin. Frankincense and Heliotrope are in the foreground after drying, and the amber sort of drifts through the scent. I can faintly detect a hint of saffron here, and the chamomile is light. I should also note that my skin usually turns frankincense to playdoh and that's not happening here. Its a lighter incense scent than I typically wear, but it's pretty. I don't know how often I will reach for it, but I can appreciate it.

Oooooooooh this is soooooo gooooood! Sweet dirt and myrrh. There is a bit of sharpness in the wet stages from the cedar but the dry down is just gorgeous. Everything becomes much more rounded and soft. Don't get me wrong though, this isn't a light scent. This is very dark, but sensuous instead of oppressive. It's almost teetering on the edge of powdery, but never quite gets there. I'm not getting much in the way of melting snow. I can easily see myself wearing this daily.

This is exactly as the description implies. Sweet fruity fig, with thick creamy goats milk and just a touch of myrrh in the background. It's nice, but I think this may be too creamy for me. It's very sweet. Almost cloying at some points really.

I wore this to bed last night and unfortunately, since my skin amps jasmine, this was NOT a relaxing scent. It started out nice, but as time wore on, the jasmine got strong and screamy on my skin. Not nice. It's hard to thing comforting sleepy thoughts when your nose is trying to run off your face.

This starts out wonderfully. For someone who usually has trouble with wine notes, this stays pretty true. It doesn't go fruity or juicy on my skin, and the leather adds a really sensual dimension. I love it for about the first half hour. And then the rose happens. Rose and violets really really go wrong on my skin. And they turned this blend for me. I really like the early stages, but the flowers ruined it.

Very strong floral here. I think maybe jasmine and ylang ylang or gardenia, with a touch of vanilla or something creamy and sweet. Flowers can overpower any blend on my skin, so this went pretty screaming floral on me. Not pleasant on me at all. And VERY headache inducing.
