Wet, this is all daemonorops and musk. 5 minutes after the initial application, the black currant and honey make an appearance, sweetening the blend. This is niiiiiiiiiice! Incense-y and kind of mysterious smelling. Further into the drydown the ambergris and brown sandalwood come out, adding depth and a smoothness. I can smell the tonka faintly in the background and I think it adds a hit of creaminess here. Overall, the effect is really stunning and intriguing. I agree with the velvety statement that someone said previously. It's complex and beautiful.

This is indeed a warm and glowing scent. The copal in particular is a standout here. Wet, the honey and copal are predominant, lending a thick sweetness to the blend. As it dries, the honey loses some of it's sweetness and the skin musk and beeswax become more prevalent. Overall, it's very much a skin scent, smelling natural but better. My SO was particularly enamoured and was snuggling quite close the entire evening. I should note that though the honey/vanilla/musk combo is similar to O, on me this is an entirely different scent. I would put it in the same family.

I really like Eros, and I think it's just going to get better with age! It starts off rather strong on the lilac, but it settles pretty quickly. The honey wine is sweet and round. The crimson tea leaf adds a bit of a herbaceous edge to the blend. Further into the drydown, the tea note settles and the honey wine and myrrh are the most prominent notes here. The lilac fades as well, blending in beautifully. This is a wonderfully crafted scent. Sweet and smooth. It darkens during wear, but not considerably. Just... YUM.

I will be the first to admit I thought this was going to be a massive fail on me. Roses? Yick. Baby powder? Ugh. Anything resembling soft? Gah! However, I tried this, because I try almost every scent that comes my way, regardless if it seems to be made of fail. This is my perfect sleep blend! I've tried favourites like TKO etc and nothing. This however is powdery and soft lavender and sweet milk that manages to put me out like a light! A sweet blend overall, but the wet stages contain a strong lavender component.

The champagne note here didn't stay as fizzy as it does in Champagne and Roses, and Champagne, Chocolate and Cheap Sex. The tobacco was its usual smooth sweet self, but it didn't come out until the fizziness of the champagne settled down. This is a sexier blend than the other two, C&R being the most romantic, while CC&CS is relatively in between them. Overall the effect here is sexy and warm. I really like it!

Unfortunately, this blend didn't last very long on my skin, so I'm going to try aging it a bit to see if that helps. This was tobacco and ambergris while wet, and the leather came out after a couple of minutes. This isn't the well-worn leather of Dee, but rather the almost sharp leather of Western Diamondback. The tobacco and musk do an excellent job of tempering it though. The incense note on me was fairly faint, more of an undercurrent to the blend. Overall, it was a dangerous kind of sexy blend. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is smooooooooooooth! The leather and tonka combine to create a sweet earthy comfortable scent. The incense and woods come out later in the drydown and really add a depth to this blend. I found it to be a little reminiscent of Crowley. This lasted forever on me too! I put it on before I went to work this morning, and when I came home at 5 it was still going strong. Wonderful indeed!

This was possibly the oddest reaction to a scent I've ever had. I put it on, and almost immediately I didn't like it. I wanted to go wash it off but I got lazy and was watching a movie. Wet, all I could smell was the bitter mimosa. The orange blossoms and neroli came forward a couple minutes later. I didn't get any clove whatsoever. As I brought my wrist to my nose it was okay, but when I pulled away, the throw was kind of stinky... musky in some way that just wasn't agreeing with me. I finished watching my movie and was going to wash it off when I noticed something smelled really nice. Incredulously, I sniffed my wrists - it was Succubus! Somehow during the course of the movie this morphed into a wonderfully sexy dirty orange scent. I think the clove was present there too - but very faintly. I'll give this a couple more tries.

Normally my skin either amps rose to no end, or it turns it to ammonia. I didn't get that here. The champagne note is bubbly and bright, the rose doesn't come out initially. After about 1/2 an hour I can detect a faint rose scent underneath the champagne. It's light and beautiful. This is an utterly romantic scent.
-
Wet the champagne note is really predominant. It's bubbly and light, effervescent. After the initial nose tickle, the chocolate comes out. Its a dry cocoa on me. And the cheap sex is a musk I think. Overall the effect is pure wonderfulness and I am totally in awe. The end product of this blend on my skin is a sweet, champagne scent with hints of dry cocoa and musk.

I got almost all strawberry here. The orange blossom came out in the drydown, as did the hibiscus and opium poppy. I couldn't detect any carnation at any point of the wear time here. It was very sweet, and youthful. This would make a really great summer scent I think. Sweetly berry floral. Nice, but ultimately, not for me.

Mag Mell on me was a very green scent. The aquatic notes were fairly faint here. Wet, the ginger was a standout, and something a little sharp, I think it was the verbena. The grass is pretty prominent as well. As it dries, the amber makes more of an appearance and smooths out the blend a little. The sharp note doesn't go away entirely but blends in after a bit. Overall green and fresh. Again, I don't really do those kinds of scents so I think I'll be swapping this.

Gardenia, tea rose, vanilla and jasmine. Alright so Rose and Jasmine are typically notes of death on me. Rose goes ammonia 99% of the time and Jasmine amps to all heights. I think that if I want to wear either of them, I need to wear blends with the two of them together. When I first applied this blend the two of them got in the loudest, vicious, screaming catfight I think I have ever been witness to. And then about 1/2 hr in, right when I was about to give up I realized that for the first time, rose smelled like rose, and I could smell things other than jasmine. Unbelievable. The gardenia lends a tempering hand here and the vanilla gets more prominent throughout the drydown. It starts off very floral and ends up a creamy vanilla floral. Nice. But not something I would reach for very often.

This was aquatic, with a herbaceous overtone. Crisp and clean. A little soapy. As I'm not one for aquatics, this isn't really for me, but I can see those who enjoy the clean scents really liking this. Definitely unisex. I don't get an overtly masculine feel here. I don't get any bathroom deodorizer or cleaning products from this.

I didn't think it was possible, but I think I may have found a blend that was too musky for me. The dragon's blood was beautiful here, and it wasn't until the blend started to dry that I could smell something a little... off... on my skin. One of these musks clearly doesn't agree with me. I saw a forumite once refer to something as single note musk before and that is totally the undertone here. I had to wash this off, it just made me too uncomfortable.

Wet, this is an incredibly green scent. I can almost smell a grassy-like note, I think it's the fern. The lavender is pretty prevalent here as well. As it dries though... oh hello ROSE!! So nice to see you again. Oh, you're going to elbow all the other notes out of the way, as per usual? Well, that's a little selfish of you ROSE don't you think? You know ROSE, you're kind of mean, and I don't know how much I like you. Yeah, I said it, it's out there. We're not friends ROSE. In fact.... you're dead to me.

I tried this and it almost immediately shot up to my top 10 GC's. I lurve tobacco scents and this is a gorgeous one. The leather manages to not be overpowering (as it seems to be for me often in leather blends). The date palm does in fact add some earthy sweetness to the mix. It may be a little cologne-y when wet, but as it dries, it's sexy and earthy and wonderful.

Wet, this reminded me exactly of Flinstones vitamins as a kid. Sugary and candy sweet. As it dried, the orange blossom and kumquat were at the foreground, with the white pepper lending a little bit of edge and I could very barely detect the white tea in the background. This was a candy like scent throughout the duration of wear. Nice and very youthful feeling. I should note that this blend did not last long on me - about 3 hours.

Remember that time ylang ylang and jasmine both hated me? Oh yeah, it was when I tried this!! If I could only figure out what I did to ylang ylang to piss her off quite so much, I think we could have a really beautiful relationship. Same goes for jasmine. Unfortunately, those two conniving bitches are truly trying to ruin every blend they appear in for me. Suspiro was no different. This started off very jasmine/ylang ylang/lily and remained pretty much the same for the duration. As it dried down however, I noticed the throw was exactly like the Flying Fox shower gel from Lush. Not so much when I put my wrists to my nose. But when I moved them away, that's exactly the same smell! Overall, not for me.

To start, this is very floral, with the iris in the front seat. As it dries, it seems the iris is kicking things up a notch and I can barely smell the sandalwood and just the faintest breath of myrrh. I think my skin may amp iris. Hmmmm.... this doesn't seem to be as complex on my skin as on others.

This was a very thick and sugary scent. The honey and molasses almost knock you out into a sugar coma! The oak isn't enough to temper this for me. Foodies would probably enjoy this blend.
-
Evil apple! This starts out red and juicy. Youthful would sum up the vibe nicely, As it dries, the hemlock and opium start to come out. I can very faintly detect the oleander here. It's a dark and sinister take on the apple. I tend not to wear fruit scents at all, but I can see myself wearing this. Unfortunately, my SO took one whiff and decided it was not for me, so off to swaps it goes.

Some kind forumite sent me a couple of drops of this to try. It really wasn't what I was expecting. The peach was tempered by the musk and oakmoss quite nicely. It had a very golden vibe, but it wasn't overly girly. Nice, and incredibly well-rounded, but not something I would reach for very often, so I passed it on. It's a very cheery blend.

Lush to BPAL scent comparisons (BNever included too)

I just wanted to pop in and say I tried Suspiro this evening, and the throw is remarkably similar to Flying Fox. More than any other blend I've tried. -
Well, I'm not sure what notes you usually like, but Prague has a distinctly ethereal wintery vibe for me. And it's GC!
