In the bottle this is coconut and lavender with a smidge of freesia. Sounds like a strange combo, but actually works really well together. Wet on the skin, it's very sweet. Coconut and sugar. After a few minutes, the sweetness fades slightly and morphs. It's a soft, pleasant freesia (a favorite of mine) and apple blossom. I can tell the sugar is here, but it's not the usual sugar note you get from the Lab's sweet scents. It's subtle and definitely takes a background. I like this, but can't describe why. The coconut has faded almost completely, and the sweetness serves to soften the bite from the lavender and freesia. I'm definitely a fan, and glad I bought a bottle.

Wet on the skin this smells like warm lavender. As it dries I get sandalwood and something warm and spicy. It's very appealing, but also very masculine. I like it, but I'd rather smell it on my husband than myself. I'll keep my decant, but I don't think I'll spring for a bottle.

This perfume smells hot to me. It's a hot, sultry day with almost no wind, where the flowers are so strong and sweet that they're almost overpowering. I love peach and jasmine, so this was a no-brainer for me, and it smells fantastic, but not at all what I was expecting. On first blush, this actually smelled like honeysuckle, that's how stong the jasmine was. But then the peach asserted itself, and the jasmine tamed down to a sweet floral, just vaguely overlayed with peach. It's beautiful, but it's definitely a strong scent, and very sweet. This will probably end up sitting untouched and unloved until next summer, and then I'll wear it to death.

I'm wearing this for the second time today, and this is a morpher. The components in here are very sensitive to changes in body chemistry and hormones. Last week when I wore it, I got mostly skin musk. I could tell there was sugar cane and honey, because the sweetness took the edge off the musk, but it was pure, sexy musk. Very womanly, very sex. Today, when I put it on, the sugar cane bapped me over the head and demanded my attention. The musk is still there, making the sugar cane spicy instead of overly sweet, and there's a slightly fruity waft. It's still very sexy, but it's not as in your face. It's got a gentler feel to it.

The smell in the bottle and wet on you skin is exactly the notes you see listed, spicey mulled wine. What interesting is how it layers as it dries. When I put my wrist up to my nose and sniff, all I get is cinnamon, but from a distance I smell the wine. It's almost like the wine has a strong throw, but you have to get close to really smell the cinnamon. The wine itself is very grapey, more like a reisling than a red. Or maybe a red that needs to be aged for a few more years. It's a very pretty scent, but not one I'll reach for a lot. I think I'm going to put this one in my BPAL box and see how it smells in a year.

I happened to check the right thread at the right time, and managed to snag a bottle of this from a forumite. I knew from the first time I read a description of this that it would be a perfect scent for me, and it is. Not since Fee have I smelled something this perfect on my skin. In the bottles it's all cold, green apples, but on my skin, it warms up a lot. I amp florals, which is convenient since I like them and they work on my skin, so the floral in this is really coming out to play. I can't place it exactly, it's rose, but softer and not as sweet. It reminds me a lot of the rose in Moon Rose, only with apples as a pairing instead of Moonflower. And the apple in here is tart, not sweet, so the effect is a fragrance that should be sweet, but isn't. It's hard to describe, but very elegant. It has a strong through too, a little will go a long way.

Fresh egg, just starting to warm nicely in the sun! I gambled on an imp of this hoping for creme brulee, but sadly, it turned into a sugary floral on me. Ah well. Off to the swap bin.

This scent fills me with joy, because it's the first chocolate scent from the lab that doesn't turn to dust on me. Fresh on the skin, it's chocolate and cinnamon. After about 2 minutes, the chocolate dies down, and it's all cinnamon, which is fine with me. Then, about 10 minutes after that, the other notes start picking back up. I'm still getting a lot of cinnamon, but it's complimented by coffee, and just a hint of chocolate. There's something vaguely nutty about this too. Very pretty scent, and a fantastic comfort scent.

Long Night Moon has broken my heart. I was looking forward to this, I was hoping for a nice cool moonflower. Something chilly and a little sophisticated. Instead, I got soap. I can't even pick out any notes, it just turns straight to soap on my skin. Bummer. This is the first lunacy I've bought this year that hasn't worked out on me.

I can't pick up any one note in this, but it's gorgeous! It's soft, a little powdery, and vaguely florally, but a spicier floral. Every now and then when I sniff my skin directly, I can smell something sweet, and almost carmelly. It's definitely going on my top 10 list. It's absolutely beautiful on my skin, and has a really nice throw.

In the bottle: It smells moldy to me. On my skin: Moldy pepper. I think I was expecting too much, because I'd heard so much about this. It's not me at all. Bummer.

Silliness in the extreme. Vanilla bean, honeycomb, sugared pear, sweet pea and a dribble of strawberry. This review may be intensely biased, as I haven't seen the sun in 10 days. This is bright, sweet, and springy. It's pink and fluffy, and everything bright, and perfect for trying to lift my gloomy mood. It's very similar to Pink Moon, but I'd need to try them out side by side to try to detail the differences. According to weather.com I won't see the sun for at least another week, so this little bottle is going to get a workout.

In the bottle: Sweet, juicy fruit On my skin: It's a nice spicy floral, sweetened by honeydew. It's lovely - it smells like bottled sunshine to me.

2005 Version. In the bottle: I'm not getting any berries out of this; it's all evergreen. Wet on my skin: I smell like an evergreen tree, and oddly, I'm ok with that. It's not overpowering. It's a subtle, earthy smell that's very comforting. Dry on my skin: Aaahh! Cinnamon! I'm still getting evergreen, but it's mixed with the spicy cinnamon, and it smells fantastic. Edited to add: Here come the berries! About 30 minutes later I'm getting the berries. All three of the notes, evergreen, cinnamon, and berry are mixing together. This is gorgeous!

Best label ever. Seriously. Nothing could top this. In the bottle: Something spicy, but not a warm spicy, it's definitely a cool scent. Wet on my skin: ACK! I'M BEING ATTACKED BY A PINE TREE! GET IT OFF, GET IT OFF! Dry on my skin: Aaaahhh! That's better. The pine is still there, but it's not as overpowering. There's a little bit of sweet berry, and something very clean. I've never had a chance to sniff Skadi, but I have half an imp of Ice Queen that I've been hoarding like mad. I don't need to hoard it anymore, because Snow Bunny is very similar to Ice Queen. I'll need to pick up another bottle before it's gone. It's not only a beautiful winter scent, but it will be fantastic in the summer when it's so hot and sticky that my skin feels like its melting. This is cool and fresh, and will be a nice pick me up. Also, my husband is going to love this scent.

This is Dragon's Blood on me. Sweet, cloying, headache inducing Dragon's Blood. Bummer.

I received this as a frimp with my most recent order. It's overwhelmingly masculine. I handed it to my husband, and told him I'd like to smell it on him. He dabbed some on his neck, and wow! This is sex in a vial. I'll be ordering him a bottle with my next order. I love it! Of course, in true guy fashion, he just smiled and nodded. Maybe it's all the turkey he ate today...

Definitely floral, but I can't place what type. It's very warm and cozy smelling. It's strong, without being overpowering, and sweet, but not cloying. There's something vaguely spicy about it too. Carnation maybe? It's not sexy per se, but I definitely get a romantic vibe off it. It's a "cuddling up in bed with your sweetie during a snowstorm" smell.

Brown sugar. Carmelized and sweet with a bitter edge. I wasn't sure I'd like this, especially since I've had poor luck with the foody scents, but this is wonderful. It has just enough of a "burnt" edge to it to keep it from being sickly sweet. I'm going to try layering this with a little Milk Moon.

This smells fruity to me. The rose is definitely there, but something in there is fruity. It's not as strong as Persephone, but the effect is similar. The fruit dies down after half an hour or so, leaving a soft, sweet rosey smell, but it also fade quickly. I'll hold onto my imp, but I can't see myself buying a bottle of this.

Clean, perfect rose. Resist the urge to slather, because this has the potential to be a little cloying if you overdo it. If you want an untainted rose, this is it.

Love at first sniff! In the bottle it's tobacco and roses. On the skin it spends a moment as a sweet rose, before morphing into this luscious blend of roses and carnations. After a few minutes, something lightly fruity sneaks in to play with the carnations, but it's not overpowering. This scent is lovely. It's sophisticated and feminine, and just a little bit sexy.

In the bottle: All blood oranges. On the skin: Baby aspirin. That sickly sweet powder and citrus smell. Ick. 30 minutes later: The baby aspirin is gone, and it's dried down to a general fruity smell. It's Bordello without the booze. Overall, not a bad frangrance, but not something I'll wear. This will probably hit the swap pile.

In the bottle: A little sweet, but not quite flowery or fruity, just a little sweet. On the skin: It immediately morphs into something dark and spicy. I'm getting a lot of incense, and just a touch of amber. This is exactly what you'd expect to smell like if you walked into a palm reader's tent at the carnival. 30 minutes later: Exact same scent. No morphing, just the same spicy incense. I'll be ordering two more bottles of this. Edit on 7/12/07 to add: OK, wow. When I bought this two years I wore it constantly for the first few months because I was so in love with it. I burned out a little on it from wearing it so much, but I didn't swap any of it away because I figured I'd come back to it. I put it on this morning for the first time in probably a year, and wow has it gotten better with age. It's still just as dark and spicy as ever, but there's an edge to it now. Almost a dark floral type of undertone. It's very sexy. I'm in love all over again.

In the bottle: juicy. On the skin, the pomegranite briefly gave way to the rose, before battling back for it's equal share of time. The rose and pomegranite both stay strong on my skin, and smell lovely. I've worn this twice now, and both times my husband commented on liking how I smelled without me prompting him to sniff. I'll be buying a big bottle with my next order. Fortunately this is a long lasting scent on me, which means my imp should make it until my bottle gets here.
