If I say that my somewhat extravagant imagination yielded simultaneous pictures of an octopus, a dragon, and a human caricature, I shall not be unfaithful to the spirit of the thing. A pulpy, tentacled head surmounted a grotesque and scaly body with rudimentary wings... It represented a monster of vaguely anthropoid outline, but with an octopus-like head whose face was a mass of feelers, a scaly, rubbery-looking body, prodigious claws on hind and fore feet, and long, narrow wings behind. This thing, which seemed instinct with a fearsome and unnatural malignancy, was of a somewhat bloated corpulence... A creeping, wet, slithering scent, dripping with seaweed, oceanic plants and dark, unfathomable waters. Wow! An expected trip to LA and and unexpected stop at Black Broom got this to me. And thanks to the lovely staff! This was one I had no intention of ordering, but the scent in the bottle intrigued me. Very aquatic - almost sharp. As it dries the sharpness sticks around, verging on the edge of too much but not quite. I love this - can I say that about tentacle head? It's strong, with a good amount of throw, and I love catching whiffs as I move about the room. It's what I love about Lady of Shalott without the flowers to fem it up. It makes me feel dark, and mysterious, and rather languid. Plotting. And slithery, but not in a sensual way. This is one I'm going to wear a lot. I am so very pleased I purchased this one. Beth has, once again, done a wonderous job. ADDED June 10: So, after reading the other reviews, I decided to slather this on the boy. YUM. His response? "I smell all silky." "Funny that, with a face full of tentacles..." *heh* But yeah, good on boy. May have to decant half the bottle for him, now.

Oh...my. This is incredibly sexy. Wisp of smoke, sweet honey, creamy and soft olive oil and beeswax. The scent makes me feel wonderful in a noir femme fatale kind of way. I'm in my crummy clean the house clothes and I feel like a man-eater! Good job, Lab!

Oh, this is wonderful. First applied it's orange and for me a bit off-putting, but that only lasts a minute or two. After that it's lovely warm and sexy as hell. The carnation brightens it just enough, and it's a very close to the skin scent.

Where is my order? What is Click N Ship? How long does this take?

Does anyone know if all the Dragon Moon orders have gone out? I ordered it and an imp pack with some of the Steamworks scents on 4/19 and I'm getting a bit concerned since I see Dyan Moon orders going out in the C&S thread. -
Wet it's almost all juniper. On drying…aha! There's the patchouli! Yummy! The forest from hell is still there, but as more backround. This almost tickles the back of my palate when I sniff it. I seem to amp forest scents, though, as it gets more pine like as it dries further, throw is like whoa, and I get no lovely dirt. No flowers. The patchouli has been eaten, and I am left alone in the forest from hell.

This is a lot lighter than I expected. There is a "perfumy" quality which I suppose is the tuberose and geranium. For some reason I always associate geranium with commercial perfumes, so ymmv. There is an overlay of sweetness from the honey. I get more musk as it dries, but not enough for me. Unfortunately, my experience seems far removed from others in this thread. I want the sexy! It's pretty, but I don't think I would wear this often enough to get a bottle. This would be a good one for someone looking for a midway point between heavy resin scents (Cathedral, say) and floral wonderlands.

Cassia and pomegranate! On me this is wonderful...the dragon's blood is in full force when wet, but then it goes juicy and yet dry at the same time with fruit and spice. It starts out very strong but mellows quickly into a rather close to the skin scent. I love this.

Wet this is sweet almond like whoa. As it dries the spices come out...I can't pick out individual notes, just a general nice spice with a bit of honey. On me the almond fades to pretty much light backround in a few minutes.

Oh but I love love love this! Wonderful resins, a bit of smoke and wood and slightly dusty on dry down. This is beautiful on me.

Ginger! Wonderful sweet ginger…reminds me of a candy called Ginger Chews. Very calming and comforting, since I identify ginger as something that makes me feel better. The milk is very in the backround on me. Just lovely. *note-this imp was at least a year old. I remember trying it when fresh and thinking "plastic!"

So sweet! And yet, almost smoky. Really love this one! It isn't foody in the slightest, thanks to the wood. Kill-Devil made me happy - effectively killed the devils of my day! It's on the bottle wishlist for sure!

This was wonderful....for a few seconds. On first application,it's all cinnamon...screaming cinnamon. Then the cinnamon settles down, and the skin musk and honey sweeten things up, and it's gone. I really loved it, but it fades very fast on me,and has no throw at all. From the description, this should have been perfect for me. I'll have to try it again at a later date.

Lovely! Definitely captures the woods at night. It isn't an "earthy" scent, as in I don't get much dirt, but there is a deepness to it that I really like. The fir wood stands out on top, but unless I put my nose right up to it I don't smell like a christmas tree.

A scent aflame with rage, swirling in the red haze of hatred: dragon's blood spiked with black pepper, clove, and cinnamon. I really thought I would like this, but something turns on my skin. Becomes very unpleasant, though all the notes are among my favorites. I'm truly perplexed! A sniff from the bottle gets me DB and cinnamon, but once I apply...almost instantaneously, it goes horribly wrong.

hackess, thank you so very much!! Looks fantastic!

Limited editions equivalents in the general catalog?

You'll want to look in this thread, it's all about GC equivalents! Good luck! -
I'm in love. The color is a perfect red and the consistency is perfect. With a dark color like this, as short as my nails are, I always make a mess, but not this time. I swear my nails almost painted themselves! What really amazes me is the wear. Since I applied a MAC base coat and 2 fairly thin coats on Mme Moriarty, I've cooked, washed my hands countless times, baked and decorated cupcakes, and had a full day at work - with my gloves missing. I work in shipping and receiving. I manhandle boxes aaaaaaaall day. I had given up on any polish as an expression of girliness because nothing lasted chip free for literally more than 2 hours. There are no chips. No wear spots. No thin spots. Just a few small line indentions marring the super glossy finish, but that's it. I am in utter awe. I can be girly again!!!

Oh, but this is lovely! On me it's musky, a little bit powdery. I don't get much wine, thankfully, but there is a nice smoke thing going on. This will hopefully make sense but it feels to me like night - sitting on my back porch with a glass of pinot when the neighbors are burning leaves in the late fall, and I'm thinking about what I'm going to do to my honey when he gets home. That kind of Hunter.

Death of Autumn hates me. It's my own fault, really, for missing the key ingredient my skin hates. Khus, or vetivert. As soon as I sniffed from the bottle, the back of my throat said "uh-uh nope", but I ignored it and applied anyway. Within minutes I was beginning to be headachy, Spooky was sneezing, and he said I smelled like his aunt after a hair appointment. My chemistry turns something in this to hairspray, and since all the notes but khus work well on me, I'm blaming that, and myself for not noticing it, and googling it, before I ordered. So now I stash the bottle in a very very dark place for like 3 years, and hope that aging makes this something I can wear, because I had such high hopes for it!

I want to eat my wrist! When this was fresh it was all candy corn, but now...it's some sort of cinnamon butter sugar cake. My skin tends to not love on the foody stuff, but this stays pretty true and yummy. I need to get in my kitchen and see if I can make cupcakes that taste like this smells...or maybe a spice cake drowned in honey... And I'm kicking myself for not getting 15 bottles or so, because as a house scent this would kick butt!

Dark. Dark dark dark. And brooding. And sexy. This is so what Angel would wear. Angelus too. On my skin it's very incense like, including that smoky sharp undertone that good resiny amber sticks have. I don't get much sweetness at all - on me this is heavy and thick. On my Spooky though? Heaven! Deep dark dangerous...this is so different from Black Moon! They do play very well together, though.
-
Wet this is very bright on me...and something almost creamy? I think it's the cucumber and pear. Definitely more fruity than floral. As it dries...PEAR. Sweet juicy pear, with a bit of floral for backround. This fades fairly quickly on me. Not much throw either. A nice soft spring like feminine scent.

I love this so much! It's rather like Queen of Clubs had a love child with City in the Sea. First on I get this lovely dirt note, which morphs to dirt under herbs and floral...something. Then a touch of that salty sea tang starts to come through. Usually typical aquatics and I do not get along, but this is well balanced, assertive without being sharp, and really really beautiful.
