The Spirit of the Divine Messenger, the Lord of the Crossroads, He Who Owns All Doors and Roads in this World. He is the intermediary between the Orishas and mankind, and stands at the intersection of humanity and the Divine. He opens all paths of communication, both mundane and Heavenly. His ofrenda contains coconut, tobacco and sweet, sugared rum. Elegba is probably the first coconut I've tried with BPAL and I absolutely love it. The coconut is deliciously toasted and fragrant, the rum sweet. The tobacco only shows up at the very end before it fades away completely, thankfully.

Absolutely delicious. Verdandi is like an herbier version of The Hesperides, but it lasts longer on my skin. I need a bottle of this so I can slather myself in it!

I wanted to like this but it's overpowering anise on me. I like anise but only if it's complimenting something else! Up for swap it goes, sigh.

I shy away from strong lavendar, but I like this for some reason. I am going to try sleeping with it on tonight and see what happens.

Jasmine and honeysuckle! Jasmine and honeysuckle! On me, this is like a prettier version of New Orleans without the decay. I absolutely love this. The moss keeps it from being too cloying.

This is what I had been hoping the original SO was! The sugarcane cuts out so much of the spiciness in the vanilla that I hated in the original SO -- leaving behind a yummier version of SO.

I'm perplexed by this scent. It seems to be a morpher, going from something green to something berry and then back again as it dries. I love it, though. So sad it's DCed.

Wet in imp: All plum, soft and musky. Wet on skin: Plum and apricot with something faintly floral. Dry: The most DELICIOUS sweet plum. Normally I hate musk but this works with the lusciousness of the plum.

I found this very salty when wet, but was relieved that the saltiness faded into a lovely rose. I'm not a fan of salt (hated Pool of Tears) but Penthus just works so brilliantly!

Wet in imp: A bright vanilla and lily for me, with what I think is the apricot. It's something fruity. Wet on skin: Similar to the imp. The tonka is now rolling in, changing it to something deeper. Drying: Tonka and vanilla battling for center stage. The apricot is gone gone gone. Wow, this one is a morpher!

Another Mad Tea Party scent that loves me. I'm so pleased with the luck I've had with this line. It's definitely a sweet, light scent, with not much throw, but I like it. It's simple -- baby powder with some herbs -- but not unpleasant. I think I'd maybe layer this on top of something to mellow it out.

I was tentative when applying this one because I haaaate patchouli. Luckily, I never smelled hide nor hair of it -- just juicy mango with a spicy edge, which I'm guessing is the green tea?

At last, I'm finally trying Knave of Hearts! Simply put, this is like Eat Me only with a rose note to it. I prefer it over Eat Me because the floral does mellow out the richness of the butter tart.

Selune, the Moon Goddess, fell in love with a beautiful shepherd named Endymion. She appealed to Zeus, asking him to cast Endymion into everlasting slumber so that she could be with him for all eternity. Her wish was granted, and every night the Goddess visited her love as he slept. A sweet, wistful blend of d’Anjou pear, Lily of the Valley, bois du rose and white musk. I could have sworn I reviewed this before. Anywho. No LOTV here, for me. Pear, pear, pear. I like it but I have a lot of purely fruity scents, so not sure I'll get a big bottle yet. Maybe if it ages (I got it fresh from the lab) more of the LOTV will emerge.

Does what it says on the tin. This is a sexy rose with a leather undertone that drifts in and out of the foreground as it dries. It loves my skin!

I feel like I could seduce anyone in this perfume. It is just that gorgeous. It's not musky, which is perfect for me since I don't do most musks, but it is lovely and seductive and playful all at once.

This is an absolutely lovely scent. I hated the carnation in Alice (where it overpowered everything else) but here it is tempered by the white tea and the rose. Absolutely lovely.

Absolutely beautiful, but too masculine for me. Would love to smell this on a guy. ;D

This is a lovely floral but this one is just too strong on me. I think if you like deep florals with that smokey tinge, this is great for you -- but not for me!

Bottled gloom; the essence of oblivion. Blackest opium and narcissus deepened by myrrh. This is totally not the type of scent I wear -- anything with myrrh and opium makes me heave -- but I have a whiff anyway. Very dark and gloomy. Not like me at all. Up for swap it goes~

Received as a lovely frimp from a swap. Wet in bottle: Real, fresh flowers. Anything other than rose tends to go powdery on me, so fingers crossed... Wet on skin: I'm not sure what heliotrope is, but I can smell the gardenia. No rose yet Dry on skin: Powdery gardenia, and a hint of rose, but it actually smells like a GOOD kind of powder. I like it more wet, so I will try this in a scent locket next time.

Veil is an interesting scent in the bottle, and wet on the skin -- I can really smell the violet and the lavendar. However, once it dries down, it's gone! No stay or throw at all, even less than Midway.

I wanted to like this sooo badly, but unfortunately it didn't work on me. Wet: Green apples. Similar to The Hesperides. Wet on skin: Apples with a hint of musk. Dry on skin: Cheap perfume, without any apples. Fail. I think I'll be sticking to the better GC apple scents like Verdandi and Hesperides.

The salt smells pretty foul on me until it dries down. The perfume underneath is lovely, but not very me. I'm unsure of whether I'll keep this; I might need to try it again in a month or so and see how it ages.

Drink Me is almost IDENTICAL to Midway on my skin, which is awesome since I love Midway but it's LE. I get more butterscotch and toffee in Drink Me than I do from Midway, and Drink Me also lasts longer than Midway.
