Smells like fresh blooming roses and a hint of grass. This does not smell cloying like I usually feel roses smell. Very pleasant. I sprayed it in my bedroom and the A/C vent has carried the scent into the other rooms of my apartment. Yum! This spray will give you all the delicious scents of a rose garden without the effort of growing the bushes!

Wet in bottle - Tea leaf, sandalwood with the sweetness of dragon’s blood and a tiny bit of bamboo and cherry blossom. Wet on skin - The cherry blossom has come out more, but the tea leaf and sandalwood are still the main notes. I get a bit of the dragon’s blood too. Dry on skin - This smells similar to Dragon’s Claw, but the green tea and bamboo/cheery blossom keep it different. It doesn’t last as long as some scents, however, throw is pretty minimal.

Wet in imp - Wow! This is super-foodie and smells EXACTLY like peanut brittle caramel popcorn. I get hungry just whiffing it. Wet on skin - Even more intense peanut brittle with the caramel popcorn weaving in and out. I wish I had some peanut brittle and caramel popcorn RIGHT NOW. Yum. Dry on skin - The peanut brittle and caramel popcorn are sharing the scene equally. This smells good enough to eat! I just don't know if I want to smell like snacks. I'll keep this imp as a novelty for now I think.

Wet in imp - Orris and blood musk, but very little coconut. Wet on skin - Blood musk and coconut. The coconut is not overwhelming, however. Dry on skin - Orris, blood musk and the very faintest taste of coconut. It's interesting, but not for me.

Wet in imp - Black cypress, oakmoss and frankincense. No hazelnut. Wet on skin - Black cypress, oakmoss, and frankincense. Even less hazelnut, if that’s possible. Dry on skin - A pleasant mix of black cypress and oakmoss with the barest tinge of frankincense. It's definitely fresh yet dark at the same time. Still no hazelnut. Darn.

Wet in imp - Urgh, violets and roses. Two scents that just don't agree with me. I can't even bear to put this on me (this was a frimp, so that's how I ended up with it). It's just not me. If you like violets and/or roses, though, this is totally your scent!

Wet in imp - I definitely get the grave loam, plus a kind of old-timey cologne smell. The loam is almost dusty. Wet on skin - A dusty, almost yeasty smell coupled with the same cologne I whiffed earlier from the imp. Dry on skin - Others report foodie elements to this oil, vanilla, cinnamon, etc. I don't get any of that, just the same dusty loam and my grandma's cologne.

Wet in imp - Ahhh, I love ozone! Fresh and almost lemony without smelling like cleanser. Wet on skin - My skin is amping the lemon a little more than I’d like, but this happened with The Stormhold and it mellowed out nicely. I’m hoping for a similar end result. Dry on skin - So fresh and so clean-clean ozone-y. My skin loves this stuff, and I really enjoy it. Now the question is whether or not to get this or a bottle of the Stormhold?

Another of skepticism's imps! Wet in imp - Frankincense, anise and the oils with a faint metallic tinge, Very unique and intriguing! Wet on skin - Mostly frankincense with that metallic tinge. Almost no anise. Dry on skin - Very close to wet on skin. The frankincense is very light and bright, like a shiny scarab. It does have a faint lubricant air, but not too much. This smells like a fresh, masculine cologne. It has a LOT of throw on me, too.

Hee, this is the same imp that skepticism tried! Wet in imp - A dark, leafy, woody forest. A very faint fruity tinge, but it fits in with the “natural” theme. Wet on skin - The fig is amped, with a little wood and leaves in the background. Guess my skin amps ripe fruits! Dry on skin - A deep, woody fig. Much figgier than in the imp. Not for me.

Wet in bottle - Dragon’s blood and sandalwood. A tiny whiff of soap, but not very noticeable. Wet on skin - Mostly sandalwood, with the underlying sweetness of dragon’s blood resin. Dry on skin - A mild, light sandalwood tempered by the sweetness of dragon’s blood. Not a lot of throw, but a very pleasant scent. Thanks, lab, for accidentally sending me the wrong bottle!

Who do I email with questions? BPAL/BPTP contact info
gingiemay replied to kebechet's topic in BPAL FAQs
I just got my order from the lab and they sent me one incorrect bottle (I ordered Dragon's Milk and I got Dragon's Claw). I already emailed the lab about the mixup, but do you think they'll make me send them the bottle of Dragon's Claw back? -
Wet in bottle - Wow the acai berry is really strong, with jasmine and white musk underneath. Wet on skin - Still a lot of acai, maybe a little bit of jasmine. I hope the acai calms down. Dry on skin - After about 30 minutes the acai has faded nicely and there's a complex jasmine tea leaf white musk thing happening. There is almost a vanilla tinge in the background as well. I'll have to apply this judiciously otherwise people will be bowled over with the ACAI!!! (it's that strong when I first apply)

And I have a ton of Amazon.com credit too...
-
Yeah, I put a bottle in my cart and it says expected ship time is tomorrow-Monday. At least it's really the lab!
-
I searched for BPAL and found 42 items, from GC scents, to stuff from BPTP and other items. What makes me think it's not the lab is that there's a generic photo of a bunch of Snakes from CD for every GC scent that's offered. I doubt Black Phoenix would make that mistake if they were to strike a deal with Amazon (which seems unlikely). My guess is that it's someone else posing as the lab.

Wet - Dark, cherry, a bit of power. Possibly some spice. Intruiging. Wet on skin - A dry, spicy cherry. Dry on skin - Ugh, baby powder, baby powder, baby powder. This has so much promise in the bottle, but is just awful on me.
-
Wet in imp - Sage, lime, light patchouli. Very nice. Wet on skin - Sage and patchouli, but it’s very mild and not quite so... potent. Usually I don’t like patchouli. Dry on skin - The patchouli has softened, and there is a little blackberry in there with the sage and lemon blossom. A rich, complex scent.
-
Wet in imp - Floral moss, a tiny bit of soap. Wet on skin - The same floral moss, with almost a sense of aquatic notes. Dry on skin - Definitely just floral and moss. No herbs or incense. Pretty, but not me.
-
Wet in imp - At first the scent is overwhelming. The honeysuckle and jasmine combine to smell like a commercial soap. Continued exposure yields more of the spices and lemon. Wet on skin - Honeysuckle very strong, a little jasmine. This smells very commercial to me. Dry on skin - Pure honeysuckle. Pretty, but I already have a honeysuckle scented cologne.
-
Wet in bottle - Fir, cedar leaf and mint. It's refreshing, not Pine Sol. It smells like a cold winter morning in a pine forest. Wet on skin - It's more minty, with the fir and cedal leaf sharing olfactory senses equally. Chilly and fresh! Dry on skin - Sharp fir and cedar; the mint has faded a little bit. This scent would also be great in an oil burner. My guy says that this smells "amazing."
-
Wet in imp - White ginger very strong, light jasmine and slightly sour. Wet on skin - More sour, still white ginger and light jasmine. Has a faint smell of public bathroom soap. Dry on skin - White ginger and jasmine, and a slight musky scent.
-
Wet in imp - Almond liqueur, black cherry, lime. Smells like a cocktail! Wet on skin - Slightly less almond, black cherry and vodka. Dry on skin - Almost like cinnamon almond liquer, but very tasty!
-
Wet in imp - Pine, rosemary, lemon and bay. It smells like the Adriatic right after a rain. Wet on skin - Rosemary pine. Very fresh and herbal. Dry on skin - Rosemary, pine and a very faint tint of lemon. No pine-sol at all! It's gotten quite faint, though, and that was only after one hour or so. This could be a good masculine scent.
-
Wet in imp - Grapefruit, musk, lavender, intriguing. Wet on skin - Mostly musk and lavender. Dry on skin - has mellowed to a mostly musky smell, sad, since I was hoping for more of the fruit.
